The Second Girls journey in Naruto

Chapter 36: Chapter 35: Over...

As the beautiful mushroom cloud rose in the sky, Kakashi and Chihiro fell into silence once again.

"Do you think that monster is dead?"

"Probably… If he isn't, I doubt he'll dare to come back."

Sakiya strutted over to Kakashi and Chihiro, proudly covering her left eye with her hand while striking a dramatic pose, her small fingers forming a claw-like shape at a 45-

degree angle toward the sky.

"Hmph! My Eye of Death sees everything! A mere demon is no match for me!"

Kakashi recalled the scene of Sakiya practically playing the enemy to death and gave her a strange look.

"Terrifying… truly terrifying, that Eye of Death."

Chihiro chuckled, patting Kakashi's shoulder before smiling at Sakiya.

"The Eye of Death really is amazing."

Sakiya, basking in the praise, beamed with satisfaction.

"Of course! The Eye of Death is the strongest!"

------

"Sakiya!"

"Sensei Chihiro!"

At that moment, Sakuragi and Tsukigami Tsuchiya arrived, panting from exhaustion.

Chihiro turned to them, a mix of exasperation and relief in her eyes. Though she put on an angry front, there was warmth beneath it.

"You two! How dare you come back?!"

Tsuchiya, still catching his breath, quickly responded.

"I… Sakiya was missing! We couldn't just abandon her!"

Chihiro's voice rose in frustration.

"And what exactly were you planning to do? Throw your lives away for nothing?! Do you understand how reckless that was?"

"But—"

Before Tsuchiya could argue further, Sakuragi stopped him.

"Apologies, Chihiro-sensei. There won't be a next time."

Chihiro glared.

"There better not be a next time!"

Tsuchiya Tsukigami looked at the angry Chihiro and spoke weakly.

"N-No more… I swear."

Sakuragi suddenly remembered something.

"Chihiro-sensei! Where's the enemy? Have they been taken care of?"

Chihiro's expression turned a little strange.

"The Great Dark Devil has been sealed by Sakiya using the Eye of Death."

Without waiting for their reactions, she turned and walked away.

Sakuragi and Tsukigami exchanged glances.

"…Sensei has joined the Death Pact?"

Just then, Sakiya walked up to them, smiling. She patted both Tsukigami and Sakuragi on the shoulders—though, being shorter than them, the gesture looked a little comical.

She stood with the air of a small leader.

"Hmph~ The Final Demon and the Dimensional Great Walker! You're too late! If you had come sooner, you could've seen how my Eye of Death sealed the Great Devil!"

Sakuragi and Tsukigami stared at her in confusion, but a thought flickered in their minds—one they could hardly believe.

"The Great Devil you're talking about is…"

"Yes! The Great Dark Devil! The most vicious of them all."

Tsuchiya Tsukigami swallowed nervously, then turned to Chihiro with an incredulous look.

Chihiro responded with a playful wink.

Seeing her expression, Tsukigami and Sakuragi finally reached a conclusion.

"Unimaginable…"

"I can't believe it…"

Suddenly, they locked eyes.

"Could it be… The Death Pact really exists?"

"The contract… it can give us power?"

As excitement bubbled up within them, they clenched the badges that Sakiya had given them, holding them tightly in their hands.

Their belief stemmed from something Sakiya had once told them:

"Those who join the Death Pact will have their true names burned into the final dimension. Then, the contract will bestow upon them great power…"

They still couldn't comprehend the source of Sakiya's abilities, but somehow, in the depths of their hearts, they wanted to believe.

"If the price of power is…"

The two of them looked at the eccentric girl before them.

And, silently, they made up their minds.

"…Then this power! We want it!"

Before long, the voices of Naruto's group echoed in the distance.

Now, everyone had arrived.

"What?! Sakiya actually defeated that powerful enemy?!"

Naruto's eyes were filled with shock.

Sasuke and Sakura remained silent, but the disbelief in their expressions spoke volumes.

Kakashi let out a helpless sigh.

"Oh~ It's the truth. I have no reason to lie to you."

Sasuke finally accepted the reality. He clenched his fist, a trace of frustration flashing in his eyes.

Then, as if recalling something, he relaxed his grip.

If this girl is really that strong…

Then I need to understand her training methods.

If I do that, I can get stronger even faster!

With that thought in mind, Sasuke turned to Sakiya, a newfound sense of determination in his gaze.

Meanwhile, Kakashi silently observed this peculiar girl.

When it came to daily life and social interactions, she seemed to remain completely… herself.

How should he put it?

Chūnibyō.

That was the only word that came to mind.

However, her combat skills were undeniably impressive.

While using her eccentric persona to confuse her opponents, she also expertly manipulated the flow of battle, anticipating their reactions and countering them with ease.

It was like she was pulling them into an elaborate game of her own design, where every move was already planned, every trap already set.

And in that game, she was always the one in control.

Kakashi reflected on that peculiar technique.

Even now, after understanding its basic principle, countering it would still be incredibly difficult. He had a feeling there was more to it than what met the eye.

And, of course, it wasn't that simple.

In reality, Sakiya wasn't just using water mist to refract light—she was employing an advanced form of holographic projection.

On top of that, she incorporated Chakra Erosion Factors into her technique. If she infused the surrounding air with her chakra, she could even manipulate sound, making it vanish from specific areas.

By intermittently removing small portions of air, she could create short-lived vacuum pockets, effectively cutting off sound transmission entirely.

On the surface, the battle had seemed straightforward. But in reality, the level of precision and calculations required was far beyond what an average person could comprehend.

Only someone with Sakiya's unique physical and mental abilities could control it so effortlessly.

Even so, the chakra consumption for such a holographic projection technique was immense.

At full power, she could barely maintain it for a minute.

With the two powerful enemies dealt with, Kakashi and the others should have felt relieved. However, something felt... off.

There were no corpses.

Zabuza was undoubtedly dead, yet his body had mysteriously vanished.

Regardless, their mission wasn't over. And, more importantly, Gato's arrogant attitude had thoroughly annoyed Chihiro.

So, as a result, they dismantled Gato's entire armed force.

A man as detestable as Gato, with no one left to protect him, was bound to meet a terrible fate.

As expected, the civilians soon stormed his mansion, their excitement evident.

And just like that, it was over.

The mission had concluded.

In the end, both teams returned to Konoha—unscathed.
