The Second Girls journey in Naruto

Chapter 39: Chapter 38: The Great Black Demon Lord!

Kakashi led Sakiya to a training ground where Chihiro and Tsuchiya Tsukigami were already waiting.

The moment Chihiro saw Sakiya, she ran forward excitedly and ruffled the younger girl's hair with a relieved smile.

"Sakiya! Where have you been? I even went to your house, but you were nowhere to be found. You had me really worried..."

Sakiya, as serious as ever, simply crossed her arms.

"One does not simply track the movements of the unseen."

At that, Kakashi paused mid-step before leaving.

(Kakashi: I'm standing right here, you know… but sure, just ignore me…)

Chihiro chuckled, choosing not to question Sakiya's dramatic response.

"Well, at least you're here now."

Tsuchiya perked up with excitement.

"Teacher! Do we have a mission?"

Chihiro shook her head, smiling.

"Not a mission this time. This is something much bigger—something that concerns all of you."

Tsuchiya tilted his head in curiosity.

"What is it?"

Sakiya did the same, her expression just as puzzled.

Chihiro gave them an amused look, then suddenly straightened up, her face serious.

"Alright, no more suspense. The announcement is—"

A brief pause.

"You're eligible to enter the Chunin Exams."

"The Chunin Exams?!" Tsuchiya and Sakuragi exclaimed in unison.

"Are we really participating?" Tsuchiya asked hesitantly.

After all, they had just recently graduated. They were keenly aware of their own abilities.

Chihiro's gaze shifted toward Sakiya, as if waiting for her response.

Tsuchiya and Sakuragi followed suit.

Right—Sakiya was more than qualified. But the Chunin Exams required teams, meaning they would have to participate together.

A brief silence.

Then, Sakiya clenched her fists and declared with absolute confidence,

"Of course, I'm going! This is the perfect stage to prove myself—I'd never miss it!"

Tsuchiya and Sakuragi exchanged amused looks before sighing.

"Well, if Sakiya is in, we're in too."

Chihiro's eyes narrowed slightly, studying their reactions.

"Are you all sure about this?"

Sakiya nodded firmly.

"Absolutely!"

Sakuragi grinned.

"We can't just let Sakiya have all the fun."

Tsuchiya pumped his fist in excitement and shouted,

""As a member of the death agreement, how could I possibly back down?!"

His declaration was met with shocked stares from both Sakuragi and Chihiro.

Sakuragi, utterly dumbfounded, stared at him in disbelief.

"This guy… actually said that…!"

Chihiro, on the other hand, was pleasantly surprised. Her lips curved into a smile.

"Not bad! That's the kind of spirit I like to see."

Then, her tone shifted as she added with a serious expression,

"Since you're all so motivated, I'll be giving you special training."

Hearing this, Sakuragi and Tsuchiya immediately straightened up and bowed deeply.

"Thank you for the training, Sensei!"

Meanwhile, over at another training ground, Kakashi was delivering the same news to Team 7.

Just as expected, they all accepted without hesitation.

And so, as the Chunin Exams approached, the Twelve Genin of Konoha prepared to step onto the stage—one by one!

In a hidden, underground base beneath Konoha, the air was thick with dampness and shadow.

A lone figure—Yakushi Kabuto—stood in the darkness, wearing a hooded cloak that concealed his features.

"Lord Danzo, I've come on orders from Lord Orochimaru to deliver information."

From the shadows, an old man emerged, leaning on a cane. His body was almost entirely wrapped in bandages, with only his left eye visible.

The cold aura he emitted was unnerving, making it clear that this was no ordinary elder.

Without a word, Danzo tossed a scroll in Kabuto's direction.

Kabuto caught it effortlessly, his face still hidden in the shadows of his hood. A dangerous smirk played on his lips as he spoke.

"Thank you, Lord Danzo."

Danzo's hoarse voice cut through the silence.

"Hmph… Tell Orochimaru this—he better not fail me."

Kabuto chuckled softly.

"No need to worry. Lord Orochimaru is fully prepared."

With that, he turned and disappeared into the darkness.

Danzo watched him leave, his mind turning over the details of Orochimaru's plan.

"The Konoha Crush Plan… I've already handed over the village's defenses. Don't disappoint me, Orochimaru."

His gaze shifted upward to the ceiling of the underground base, and his voice dropped to a murmur.

"Don't blame me, Hiruzen… Everything I do is for Konoha."

With that, Danzo left the base, walking slowly toward the Hokage Building.

Meanwhile, on the Streets of Konoha...

As Danzo turned a corner, he suddenly found himself face-to-face with a girl wearing a blindfold.

For a brief moment, both of them froze.

Danzo, not giving it much thought, moved to step around her.

But as he stepped to the left—Sakiya mirrored his movement, stepping to the left as well.

Danzo frowned slightly and shifted to the right.

Sakiya did the same.

A tense silence hung between them as they stood five meters apart, mirroring each other's every move.

Danzo, testing the situation, took another step to the right.

Sakiya followed suit.

Danzo's patience thinned. He snapped his foot back abruptly.

And, without missing a beat—Sakiya did the exact same thing.

The atmosphere grew increasingly awkward.

Danzo stood still, staring at the odd, blindfolded girl who, in turn, stared back at him intently.

For the first time in a long while, Danzo didn't know how to react.

Silence.

Sakiya's gaze burned into him, unwavering and intense.

Danzo, feeling his usual composed demeanor slipping, forced himself to remain calm, his face blank as ever.

Finally, he spoke in a firm, low voice.

"Why are you following me?"

Sakiya's expression remained serious.

"Of course!" she declared, voice brimming with conviction.

"Could it be… I've found another like me?"

Danzo blinked.

For a split second, he was completely thrown off. Then, he took in the details of the girl before him—her blindfold covering one eye, bandages wrapped around her arms and legs.

Danzo's face darkened.

"Old man… you are like me!" Sakiya continued, her eyes gleaming with certainty.

Danzo's eye twitched.

"You must be in pain!"

Danzo gripped his cane tightly.

"You must be sick of the mortals in this world!"

A sharp crack rang out as his fingers dug into the wood of his cane, splintering it slightly.

"And your right eye… it hides an incredible power, doesn't it?"

Danzo's eyes narrowed, and in an instant, a chilling aura of killing intent filled the space between them.

Sakiya smirked, unfazed.

"Ah, I was right."

Tilting her head slightly, she tapped her temple with a finger, pretending to ponder deeply.

"Let me guess… what kind of power could it be?"

Danzo's grip on his cane tightened even further, ready to strike at a moment's notice.

"The Eye of the Black Demon Collapse!" Sakiya suddenly declared.

Danzo's eyebrow twitched violently.

(What in the world is she talking about?)

Seeing no reaction, Sakiya shook her head.

"No, that's not it… Could it be the Great Demon Eye? No, still wrong."

"The Eye of Sin Judgment?"

"No, not quite~"

"Is it… the Eye of the Demon Seal?"

Danzo silently activated his movement technique—and in the blink of an eye, vanished from sight.

Sakiya, still deep in thought, didn't even realize he was gone.

Danzo felt that if this continued, he might actually lose his mind.

Sakiya looked around, confused.

"Huh? Where did he go? Could it be… this kind of sudden disappearance… Is he the Dark Phantom?!"

Her eyes widened with excitement.

"The legendary, incomparably elusive master of darkness!"

Hiding in the shadows nearby, Danzo felt his already stiff expression falter.

He couldn't take it anymore.

(What is wrong with this girl?!)

Deciding it was best to ignore her entirely, Danzo took a deep breath and forced himself to move on.

"She's just a strange kid. Not worth my time."

He had more important matters to attend to—his report to Hiruzen on the latest Root operations.

With that, he turned away and disappeared into the darkness.
