Chapter 362: Open Cave
"Miss, we don't need to fight," the mimic said plainly. "I've come here because I sensed another vampire. Are you heading back to hell?"
"Nope." Evangeline shook her head, then approached the mimic with a smile.
Let's see... how should I deal with you?

Evangeline might not have a lot of skills, but aside from her blood manipulation, she rarely uses them anyway.
Still, she had one goal she was trying to achieve.
I want to combine my Blood Manipulation with everything in the Abyssal Calamity skill tree... If I do that, then I can go beyond Origin rank.
Origin was the rank right above Eternal and the second-highest rank in the entire universe.
She rarely used half of these techniques since there was always a worldly law stopping her from exerting her full strength.
But ever since Neraxis removed that thread that was binding her, she no longer had to hold back.
Still... I didn't want to discourage him too much by being levels ahead, so I held back, Evangeline thought, summoning her sword, then aiming it at the mimic in front of her.
"By the way, your breasts are smaller than mine. If you're ever going to try copying someone in your next life, at least get their measurements right."
With those words, Evangeline crouched down, holding her sword right above her head.
Out of all the Abyssal Calamity skills, she wanted to try this one the most. After all, this was the main reason why she even put all her points into Mana Capacity in the first place.
World Severing Slash (Celestial)
—Slash the space itself, parting the dimension and dealing 15,000 + 1,000% Mana Capacity True Damage

[MP -10,000 | 80 / 10,080 (World Severing Slash)]
Her slash flew outward, and the moment it did, a faint crack in space appeared, spilling a chilling energy outward.
The mimic tried to dodge, but the crack quite literally pulled it back in.
"W-Woman! Wait! I am not your enemy!" the mimic pleaded. "I'm a demon just like you! We are going to gather downstairs and descend! If you kill me, the demons will lose their only mimic!"
"Oh? But sorry... I can't really control my slashes," Evangeline replied teasingly and stepped closer toward the slash which revealed the cosmic vacuum beyond.
It was as beautiful as the first time she created this technique, and it was also just as deadly as she remembered.
Evangeline slashed along the crack in the space, widening it.
Finally, the mimic could no longer hold on and fell into the spatial crack.
Its body immediately disintegrated, and with it came a pleasant array of notifications.
<You have slain: Vampire Mimic [Level 200]: Major Experience increase. Bonus experience earned for killing an enemy highly above your level!>
<You have leveled up!>
<Level 134 → 162>

"Oho..." Evangeline let out a satisfied hum and immediately adjusted her stats.

Free Stat Points: 474 → 0
With that, she turned around, meeting Jane's shocked expression.
"What? Did you think Neraxis was stronger than me?"
"You didn't exactly use your strength... so yes." Jane nodded slowly.
Evangeline shrugged and floated down. It seemed like the ground was finally solid, so the two began walking forward.
Sadly, there was still no trace of Neraxis, but with every moment, she felt like she was getting closer.
But at the same time, her worries grew.
The mimic mentioned something about a descent. If she had to guess, that meant they were planning to descend on the actual 11th floor of Dreamspire.
However, that seemed a bit strange considering the Chasm was underground.
Or is it...?
A frown appeared on her face.
She had seen a lot—mountains, the sun, even the moon earlier.
So she wouldn't really be surprised if they were somehow able to descend... upwards?
Anyways... Evangeline sighed, trying to keep her mind occupied.
"Hey, so where are those people you needed to revive?" she asked.
Jane froze. "I... I forgot."
"Pfft... you forgot?" Evangeline's brow rose. "That seems kinda stupid since that was the main reason you came here, isn't it?"
"Yes... but it seems like my mind is a bit..." Jane trailed off. "Let's just continue. We can go back up later."
"Of course." Evangeline giggled, and they proceeded further.
Some time down the line, the path widened, revealing an entire cave of crystal.
And in the very middle stood a single stone spire that didn't seem to lead anywhere. But despite that, she could feel the mana of a few demons present.
Jane stepped forward and waved her hand. Immediately, all the crystal lights in the cave dimmed, blanketing the entire area in darkness.
However, that same darkness didn't apply to either of them. It only filtered out a few demons who couldn't see in the dark.
"Okay... so that rock formation needs to go. I think it's like a pillar that summons demons," Jane commented, causing Evangeline to turn to her with a puzzled look.
"You really are like an encyclopedia, aren't you?"
Jane's brows twitched as she pinched Evangeline's waist.
"I hope Neraxis beats you into submission when we find him," Jane said with a pout.
Evangeline tilted her head.
"You know... I don't think I'd mind it—"
"Be quiet." Jane cut her off and pointed ahead.
Evangeline's brows furrowed.
"What is that thing?"
