Chapter 107: Chapter 107: The First War Begins
The city never slept, but tonight, the streets were quieter than usual.
A storm was coming.
Jinwoo walked out of the Black Lotus Club, his fists clenched.
Joon-Sang thought he had won. That Jinwoo was now part of his empire.
But Jinwoo had never belonged to anyone.
His phone buzzed.
Hana: "They're moving tonight. Be ready."
He exhaled sharply.
The war had officially begun.
And he was going to end it before it could start.
---
2. The Ambush
Jinwoo didn't go home.
Instead, he headed straight to the old warehouse near the docks. It was a neutral zone—or at least, it used to be.
Tonight, it was a trap.
The moment he stepped inside, he felt it.
Eyes watching him.
Jinwoo moved carefully, his footsteps silent on the concrete.
Then—a gun cocked.
"Stop right there, Jinwoo."
He turned slowly.
At least ten men surrounded him.
And at the center—Joon-Sang's second-in-command, Min-Soo.
Min-Soo grinned. "Joon-Sang told you there was a storm coming, didn't he?"
Jinwoo didn't move.
Min-Soo pulled out a knife, twirling it between his fingers. "Too bad you won't live to see it."
Then—they attacked.
---
3. The Wolf Unleashed
Jinwoo didn't wait.
He moved first.
One punch. Min-Soo's jaw cracked. He stumbled back, cursing.
A knife swung. Jinwoo dodged, twisting the attacker's wrist—snap.
A gun fired. Jinwoo ducked. The bullet missed by an inch.
He grabbed the nearest thug, using him as a human shield. Bang! The man crumpled.
Min-Soo was back on his feet, blood trickling from his mouth. "Kill him already!"
Three left.
Jinwoo grabbed a pipe from the ground. Crack! One man went down.
Another charged. Jinwoo spun, slamming the pipe into his ribs.
Min-Soo lunged with his knife—
Jinwoo caught his wrist. Twisted.
Min-Soo screamed. The knife was now in Jinwoo's hand.
Jinwoo didn't hesitate.
He stabbed.
Min-Soo gasped, eyes wide in shock.
Jinwoo stepped back as Min-Soo collapsed, blood pooling beneath him.
The warehouse fell silent.
Jinwoo exhaled.
That was just the beginning.
---
4. A Message to the King
Jinwoo grabbed Min-Soo's phone.
One missed call. Joon-Sang.
He smirked.
Then, he answered.
"Min-Soo?" Joon-Sang's voice was calm, amused.
Jinwoo chuckled. "He won't be answering."
Silence.
Then—Joon-Sang sighed. "So, you've made your choice."
Jinwoo tightened his grip on the phone. "No. I'm making my own rules now."
Joon-Sang laughed softly. "You just declared war, Jinwoo."
Jinwoo grinned.
"Good. I was getting bored."
Then, he hung up.
The first war had begun.
And he was going to win.
