The Strongest Assassin of the Zoldyck Family!

Chapter 628

Night fell, and the sky turned dark. High above, a massive red dragon-shaped creature appeared, but it exuded no signs of life. Instead, it radiated an intense, chilling aura. Six figures stood atop the dragon. A woman stood at the dragon's head—she had long blue hair and wore green. A young man looked down. "Captain, we've arrived." The woman controlled the dragon and brought it to a stop. A white-haired youth glanced at her.

"Now."

"Yes, Captain."

In the next moment, all six figures vanished from the dragon's back. Under the woman's control, the red dragon plummeted straight down. The lower it fell, the faster it accelerated, gathering immense kinetic force.

Below, Chrollo and the others suddenly sensed danger. "Scatter!" At his command, the Troupe members quickly dispersed.

Boom!!!

The dragon crashed down, a massive impact shaking the ground. Buildings in the area collapsed under the blow, and a cloud of red shards and debris exploded outward. The entire area was engulfed in dust. The Phantom Troupe retreated from the dust cloud, only to face the second wave of attacks from the six experimental units.

Before the Troupe could even stabilize their positions, the next assault had already begun.

"Not a scratch, huh? Impressive. As expected of the Phantom Troupe—strong enough to wipe out the Shadow Beast. But we're not like them!"

A hulking man's body began to swell visibly. He had previously been around two meters tall, but as he charged forward, his height kept increasing—reaching four or five meters in seconds.

Even among regular people, Uvogin was already enormous, but now he looked like a child compared to this man.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

Each step of the charging brute made the ground tremble.

"I've got this," Uvogin said, moving to meet him head-on.

Nobunaga went with him. They were partners—friends—and knew how to fight together flawlessly. With Uvogin providing cover, Nobunaga could fully utilize his own strengths and compensate for his weaknesses. Because he needed to protect Nobunaga, Uvogin fought even harder.

Nen energy surged into his fists. "Big Bang Impact!"

An explosive aura burst from his punch, but the brute didn't back down. He raised his own fist and clashed with Uvogin's.

Boom!!

Their fists collided. The force that could cave in the ground and devastate underground foes like worm—Uvogin's famed Big Bang Impact—had no effect. The brute's strength exceeded Uvogin's.

After the impact, the brute only took a single step back. Uvogin was forced back three.

His expression shifted slightly. "Such strength…"

Then he grinned. "Now that's more like it! Let's have a real, bone-crunching brawl."

He had no fondness for Kurapika's chains and trickery. What Uvogin loved was a direct, brutal fight.

Nobunaga moved to the brute's side and struck with his blade—but the man dodged even before the sword was swung. Nobunaga froze. "What?"

"Careful, Nobunaga!" Uvogin shouted.

Snapping back, Nobunaga saw Uvogin step in front and block the next strike for him. Nobunaga retreated quickly. "Uvogin!"

"I'm fine."

The two stood side by side again. Nobunaga stared at the brute. "A body that huge, strength like that—and still this fast? Unbelievable. He has no weakness."

Uvogin's face was serious too. "He's strong. But isn't that even more exciting?"

"We've fought weaklings too many times. Strong enemies make it fun. Killing them gives us real satisfaction."

Nobunaga looked at him, saw the grin and thrill on his face, and smiled back. "You're right. It's been ages since we faced a real fight side by side."

"Let's go all in."

"Together!"

The brute narrowed his eyes. "Interesting."

Elsewhere, a woman stood silently with a long flute in hand, facing Phinks and Feitan. Behind her stood three towering figures—her Nen beasts. They were even larger than the brute, and every step they took caved the ground.

But while their size and power were immense, their agility was lacking when compared to the brute. This gave Feitan and Phinks a manageable edge. That was, until the woman began to play her flute. The sound spread—and both Feitan and Phinks were immediately affected.

The melody struck their minds, inducing hallucinations and disrupting their focus.

"Damn it, she's trouble," Feitan muttered darkly.

Phinks' face looked grim.

"Ripper Cyclotron!"

Phinks saw an opening and punched one of the beasts. The hit landed hard—but the Nen beast's defenses were tough. More critically, as long as the woman fed aura into them, they regenerated instantly. Phinks's strikes left no lasting damage. The beasts, however, could harm him and Feitan with even a single hit.

They had no clear way to break the stalemate, and had to rely on constant dodging, dragging the fight into a prolonged confrontation.

Crack!

Feitan sliced off a Nen beast's arm—but it regenerated moments later.

"This kind of Nen beast style is so boring," he muttered, then turned to Phinks.

"Attacking her summons is useless. We have to go after her directly. Help me make an opening."

Phinks nodded without hesitation. He understood their situation perfectly. Feitan's speed far surpassed his own. If anyone could capitalize on a chance, it was Feitan.
