The Strongest Drug Dealer

Chapter 7: Lone Survivor

( Knock! Knock! )

"Hey Tomas, I know it's early but are you in there?" yelled Clover as he knocked on a door.

Footsteps could be heard from inside as it got closer towards the door.

( Creak! )

The door opened and in front of the door was a middle-aged man with his hair thinning from what looked like stress and overworking.

Leo standing behind Clover made eye contact with Tomas before saying, "Hey Tomas or should I say Or--".

( Shnk! )

Taking out a blade from his pocket and throwing it into Leo's right eye, Tomas quickly shut the door and ran back inside.

"Ahhhhhhh!" both men shouted. One shouted in fear while the other screamed in pain.

( Drip! Drip! )

With the blade still in his eye, Leo took out some type of orb and imbued it with his aura.

( Crack! )

The orb broke into dust-like particles and scattered into the air.

Feeling both pain and anger, Leo shouted out, "Orun! We have found you there is no escaping now!".

In a panic, Clover ran away far from Tomas's shop.

Inside the shop, Orun, or by his fake name Tomas, ran into the back room and flipped over one of the rugs on the ground.

Behind the rug was a wooden plank. Removing the plank what lay underneath was a container holding some sort of liquid.

"They found me before the poison could become instant death but now I have no choice!" said Orun maniacally.

( Crash! )

The front door busted open.

"It is too late now you stupid guild members! All for the glory of the Poison Dragon!!!" yelled out Orun.

( Strike! Strike! Spark! )

Using flint and steel, Orun tries to create a spark to land inside the container.

As in slow motion, Orun could see the little spark touch the liquid. The spark upon making contact with the liquid grew bigger and bigger, until.....

( BOOOOOOOOOOOM! )

Not far from the Orun's shop was Heart's studio. A once well-built structure crumbled down among many other buildings around it.

Laying trapped in the debris of the art studio, Brune was barely alive, fading in and out of consciousness.

The explosion was huge and created a massive dust cloud, unlike regular dust clouds, poison was mixed in as it spread around Tep killing the residents one by one.

Coming into contact with the poison was almost certain death.

"Where am I?" Brune thought to himself as he once again experienced the same endless floating sensation.

"uglvbgvbuierghabjv"

"fhbefbwebvs"

Brune could hear some type of voice but it was muffled.

( Crack! Crash! )

The darkness slowly turned to light and what seemed like figures of people could be seen by Brune.

Trying his best to make a sound Brune let out an airy gasp.

( Gasp!! )

The air flowed into his lung stingy every fiber of his muscle.

His vision slowly came to in between the cracks of the debris, Brune could see a group of six people wearing the same black cloak as Leo but this time each equipped with some sort of mask.

Using all his strength Brune let out a cry of help, "Help me".

Not being able to breathe properly, Brune's cry for help could barely be heard. Losing hope and falling back into the dark void, he could feel his life fading away.

"What was that!?" shouted of of the people in the group.

Hearing something strange, the person looked around confused.

"Did y'all hear that too?" asked the person looking around.

"Kiji, you must be going crazy," one of the group members told the confused individual.

"I think there might be a survivor," replied Kiji.

Hearing those words gave Brune hope again. Using all of his strength, Brune used the invisible hand to tug on the cloak of Kiji.

Feeling the pull, Kiji turned towards Brune's direction.

"Help..."

Kiji could hear the voice of a child.

Quickly running over Kiji asked the others to help remove the debris.

Some members of the group quickly followed Kiji over toward Brune while one of the members mocked Kiji, "You're just wasting your time even if you find someone it would just be a dead body. No person could survive six hours in this poison fog without a purifier mask,".

After removing some of the debris the head of Brune could be seen.

Looking at the boy the group could see Brune's eyes scan them one by one.

"Quickly Tu, take out one of the masks from the bag and give it to the boy," one of the members commanded the other.

The anxiety of the group picked up as they quickly secured the mask onto the little boy's body.

"Evacuate the boy and search for more survivors right now!!" yelled out the same person who gave out the command earlier.

Feeling relief Brune's eyes slowly started closing.

"Kid don't fall asleep now, you have to stay up!" yelled out the voice of the person carrying Brune.

Running out of the poison fog the person carrying Brune encouraged him to stay up before finally making it out of the fog and running towards the temporal base set up by the Alchemist guild.

"Make way there is a survivor!"

Quickly putting Brune on the patient beds, the person carrying him took off the mask.

"Kid stay with me now don't fall asleep, we have the antidote here just wait for us to bring it." the person instructed Brune.

Receiving the antidote, Brune was urgently fed the antidote.

The pain and aches slowly subsided and Brune fell into a cold sleep.

( Whoosh! )

( Chatter! )

Still with his eyes closed, Brune could hear voices speaking mixed in with the blow of the wind. Gaining his strength slowly he opened his eyes and got up.

"It's amazing to think the boy was still alive after being exposed to the poison that long." said a voice that could be heard from Brune.

Looking over his right shoulder towards the voices Brune could see three individuals standing around talking. The group consisted of a female elf and two male humans.

"The elves look just like the description and drawing from Heart's book," Brune thought to himself.

Remembering his last memory before the chaos, Brune patted himself down.

( Pat! Pat! )

The noise caught the attention of the female elf.

"Are you looking for this?" said the female elf as she took out the necklace given to his mother by his biological father.

Handing over the necklace she could see the relief in Brune's face.

"I was holding onto it as it seemed important as you wouldn't let it go even while unconscious." the female elf told Brune.

Recognizing the voice Brune expressed his gratitude, "Thank you for saving me,".

( Growl! )

"Hahaha don't sweat it, kid, let's go get something to eat and I could answer any question that you have," she told Brune after hearing the growl of Brune's stomach.

Following the female elf, they made their way out of the medical ward and onto the area where they were serving food.

A huge male tigret covered in silver hair could be seen stirring a huge pot filled with some type of soup.

"Hey Mechi, mind giving us a bowl. Give the kid a little bit extra as he's been asleep for a night and a day." the female elf told the male tigret.

"So KIji, this is the boy who survived in that nasty poison fog huh?" asked Mechi the male tigret

"My name is Brune,"

"Hoo wow, most people are too scared to talk to Mechi as he is big and scary but he's one of the most tame tigrets I know," said Kiji while looking at Brune.

"Most of us tigrets can behave just that the few individuals give us a bad rep," said Mechi as he handed over the bowl of soups to Kiji before sticking pieces of bread into the bowl. In one bowl he put in an extra piece of bread.

Looking at Brune Kiji told him, "Let's go find a place to sit so we could eat,". Walking towards one of the tables, they both sat down.

Starving, Brune quickly eats the food before realizing he ate too fast and couldn't swallow the food properly.

Noticing the look on Brune's face, Kiji handed Brune a container from her side for him to drink from.

The taste of the drink was like a mixture of lemons and oranges. The drink washed down the soup. After getting past almost choking he went back to enjoying his meal, but this time much slower. The soup tasted like chicken and potato soup, which Brune really liked as he mostly ate fish while staying with the Cards family.

"Do you like the luc and pulpin soup or the dibo fruit juice more?" Kiji asked.

"The soup," Brune replied before eating more.

With his last gulp of the soup, Brune gathers enough courage to ask, "So..... Where other people?"

The happy expression left Kiji's face, and she answered the question with her own question, "Do you have any other family members that aren't in the town?".

"No, only uncle family, and dad," answered Brune.

"Your family and the town people went somewhere far away, but they are happy over there so they can't come back," replied Kiji with a sad look on her face.

Sitting there expressionless Brune replied, "Oh ok.....".

The short but eventful memories flooded Brune's mind and the tears started flowing. Kiji went over to hug Brune.

For the first time in his new body, he cried real emotional tears. Crying like a baby for what felt like hours, he eventually got his emotions under control.

"Kiji, I'm tired," said Brune.

The two walked back into the medical ward before Brune laid down to sleep.

Walking out of the medical ward, Kiji took a deep breath before thinking to herself, "This is really too much for a little kid to handle."

( Kahh! Kahh! )

A bird carrying a message could be heard and seen descending down.

"Pip come here!" shouted Kiji.

The bird landed on Kiji's arm, by the bird's leg it carried a letter with the golden turtle seal on it. Seeing the seal, Kiji rushed toward the site leaders' tent.

"Sir! The golden turtle disciples have sent a letter!" yelled Kiji outside the tent.

"Come in" replied a voice inside.

Inside was a male elf sitting behind a desk loaded with paperwork.

Receiving the letter from Kiji, the male elf opens it and reads it before commanding Kiji to go tell the others that they have to wrap everything up in Tep quickly and head back to the guild headquarters.

Hearing the commands Kiji asked, "What about the boy? he has no family left," as she was still concerned about Brune.

"Bring the boy with us and we can solve it later, right now we have to have a meeting and discuss future plans regarding the blood moon!" shouted the male elf.
