Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Your Life and Death Are in Your Own Hands!

"How wonderful!"

Osborn sighed sincerely.

"What?"

Peter didn't understand what he meant.

Osborn looked at him and smiled:

"Youth is so great. Even if you stay up all night, you don't feel tired. Cherish your time now, for youth is priceless, and health is priceless!"

"By the way, what brings you here? Is it a school-organized visit?"

"No, not really," Peter shook his head.

"I'm here to see Dr. Otto Octavius. My teacher asked me to learn some physics from him."

"I see. I'll go with you. With me around, he'll take you more seriously. After all, I'm his benefactor."

Peter nodded without refusing.

He couldn't help but sigh inwardly. He remembered having mixed feelings about this character when he watched the movies in his past life.

Was he evil? Not entirely, since it was the Green Goblin persona that drove him to do evil.

Was he good? What kind of good person throws bombs into crowds?

It seemed that death was his best redemption.

Otherwise, he would be left with the torment of two conflicting personas.

Just then, the system's voice suddenly echoed in his ears.

[The polite entrepreneur before you harbors a demonic persona within.]

[New mission initiated: Punish the Green Goblin!]

[This mission has two interpretations.]

[1. Kill Norman Osborn, and the mission is complete.]

[2. Kill the Green Goblin persona within Norman Osborn.]

[Regardless of the outcome, you will receive a reward.]

[Reward: 20,000 points.]

[Note! Patients with split personalities cannot be completely cured. Even if the Green Goblin is killed, there is a possibility of its rebirth.]

[Good luck!]

Peter scratched his head.

Two conflicting thoughts intertwined, making it hard to decide!

To kill or not to kill?

If he killed Osborn, Peter felt a strange sense of guilt, especially since Osborn was being so kind to him now.

If he didn't kill him, the Green Goblin might return.

In his past life, Peter had watched many Spider-Man movies.

Some details had faded over time, but one scene stood out vividly: the death of Aunt May, killed by the Green Goblin.

Leaving him alive was like keeping a ticking time bomb.

The risk of explosion was always there.

Peter looked at Osborn, who was smiling beside him, and decided to leave the choice to Osborn himself.

Ten days!

If Osborn didn't cause any more trouble within ten days, Peter would find a way to eliminate the Green Goblin within him.

If Osborn killed someone, Peter would take him out, leaving no loose ends.

The elevator door opened.

Osborn led Peter out of the elevator.

As soon as they stepped out, they saw the burly, slightly chubby-faced Otto Octavius.

"Osborn?"

Otto was momentarily surprised by Osborn's presence.

"This is the future Nobel Prize winner," Osborn joked.

"I don't do this research for awards."

"But your research can make the company a lot of money."

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Otto's gaze shifted to Peter.

"And who is this?"

"Oh, let me introduce him. This is Peter, a high school student with excellent grades."

Peter extended his hand.

"Hello, Dr. Octavius."

Their hands shook:

"I know why you're here, but I really don't want to waste time on high school students."

"However, Osborn is my benefactor, and your physics teacher is my classmate."

"So, it's a pleasure, Mr. Parker."

"You two chat," Osborn said, feeling a slight discomfort.

It seemed that the other him, the Green Goblin persona, was about to emerge.

Osborn hurriedly left Otto's office.

Otto looked at Peter with a paternal air.

"I heard from your physics teacher that you're very smart."

"But I want to tell you, being smart isn't enough. You must strive to improve."

"Intelligence isn't a privilege; it's a gift. You should use it to benefit humanity."

Peter nodded.

He agreed with this sentiment. Although he had recently killed many people and accumulated 20,000 points, his goal was to make the world a better place.

Thinking this, he couldn't help but sigh.

What a pity. Even someone like Dr. Octavius eventually became a major villain.

Peter wanted to stop it, to do something to change this outcome.

But it had been too long. After all, he had been in this world for eighteen years, and his memories had become hazy.

He only remembered that Otto was controlled by his mechanical arms.

But the specifics were long forgotten.

"Otto, lunch is ready."

Suddenly, a woman walked over.

Otto smiled and introduced:

"Peter, this is my wife, Rosie."

"This is Peter."

"I know, the brilliant one who won the million-dollar scholarship."

Rosie gave a warm smile.

"Keep it up, kid. Your future will surely surpass Otto's."

Otto shrugged:

"I won a scholarship too, you know, though it was only five hundred dollars."

"By the way, is Stark crazy? Spending so much money on charity."

Peter looked at Rosie, feeling puzzled.

Did Doctor Octopus have a wife in the original Spider-Man storyline?

If only I had known I would crossing, I would have memorized every detail. Otherwise, I wouldn't be so clueless about the plot now.
