The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Chapter 263: Zhang Bo's last farewell to his fans___3

Backstage, after the first performance Alix quickly changed out of the white dress into something warmer. This time around, she put on the coat to stave off the cold.

Just as she finished changing, Yura dashed into the dressing room with Tai Change on her heels.

Alix noticed that her mother-in-law was all smiles. She even hugged her and poked her cheeks with a doting smile on her face. "Great job, great job absolutely splendid job both of you."

Then she moved on to Chan Ki and hugged her. "I knew that I made the right choice when I put you two together. You both create magic. Seriously, you should collaborate and create an entire classic music album."

She was way too chatty, offering advise to the two women.

Tai Change did not feel the mood to stick around and listen. He could see that Alix didn't want to do the same either. Her eyes were so intently focused on the door.

He moved closer and handed her the jacket.

"Sister, I brought you a jacket but you are all covered I see. But, I brought a sock hat and gloves as well. If you return to that stage in an open dress our grandmother might have a heart attack."

"A heart attack brother, really!" It was a gross exaggeration.

Change smiled and shrugged, "Fine, I am exaggerating a little but she is very worried. The entire time when you were performing all she could think about was the weather and your choice of outfit." He leaned forward and whispered, "She is blaming your mother-in-law already."

He laughed because truly, their grandmother had said something along the lines of the Zhang's not appreciating their Tai family's precious child.

"It was my fault first brother, I wanted to look beautiful and forgot about the weather. Anyway, I won't be making that mistake again." She explained.

A loud noise that was the cheering of audience outside distracted Alix. Her head moved, peeking over his shoulder and she stood on the tips of the toes, curious to know what was going on outside.

"I am missing it all, I can't believe that I am missing it all." She whined.

Change looked out briefly and then back to her. "You are Zhang Bo's fan?"

She nodded.

"You can go out and take a look for yourself." he told her.

"She can't, she must prepare for the next performance." Yura yelled, loudly at the beginning and then softly towards the end. She had two phones with her, one to her left ear and she was talking to someone, another was in her right hand and she was scrolling through comments and posts about the performance. "What's this? People are bashing your performance online. Ha! Who is daring me this early in the night? Do they think that I am so foolish not to see that this is a coordinated attack?

Hey, what is the PR department good for if you cannot do such a small job? Do I need to teach you about water armies? We prepared for this scenario so get rid of those haters immediately."

She briefly put the phone away from her ear and looked at her PA that was following around like a little chick. "Where is Zhang An? Does she think that she has the day off just because her brother is performing? Get her to supervise the team which is handling PR right now."

Then she snapped her fingers at the make-up artists. "What the hell are you doing to Chan Ki's eyebrows? Get rid of that glittery stuff."

Alix was watching her mother-in-law at work in fascination. How was she juggling all these things at the same time?

Change shook his head in wonder and he told Alix. "Your mother-in-law is like a machine. How is she shuffling all these things at the same time? I have seen multi taskers but she is something else."

"She scares me." Alix whispered to Change.

"Me too, a little bit." He admitted.

They laughed a little bit and then stopped when Yura cleared her throat.

"Mr. Tai, I hope I do not offend you but I must ask you to leave right now. Chan Ki needs to change and Alix must go and join the cello players in a few minutes. She is your sister so I am sure that you can find her later for any personal chitchat."

Change waved at Alix and he smiled. "Good luck."

"Change your hair and make-up." Yura reminded Alix and she left.

Her PA, like a bunny, hopped after her. As soon as the door closed, Chan Ki jumped from her chair, and dove for Alix's bag like a starved woman. She searched Alix's bag for the biscuits which Yura had forbidden her from eating before concert started.

"No, you can't. The president will kill me if she finds out." Her manager fought her for the biscuits.

"Just let her have some. Do you have any idea what it's like to perform on an empty stomach?" Alix asked.

"The president..." The manager started to say.

Alix went to the door and locked it. "The president won't know about it." She even got a flask of milk and poured some into a cup for Chan Ki. "Biscuits and milk are always a great combination. You can work off the calories later in a gym."

Chan Ki happily accepted the milk but her manager, like a worried mother hen hovered and clucked. "Miss, the president won't like this."

"The president also won't like it if her star musician faints on the stage. She is basically running on empty fumes. Here, eat this and relax." She shoved a bar of chocolate into the hands of the manager.

Helpless, the manager could only watch as Chan Ki stuffed herself with things that definitely were not good for her diet plan.

Another helpless individual was the make-up artiste that had been pushed to the side because Chan Ki wanted to eat.

She sighed and moved over to Alix. If Yura returned and both of them were not ready, someone would be receiving a tongue lashing and she really didn't want it to be her.

More loud cheering was heard from the crowd in the stadium and Alix looked at the door which she had locked with sad eyes. Her feet started carrying her it's way but she the make-up artist stopped her.

She pulled Alix gently by the arm and sat her down in a chair. "Teacher Xi Xi, let's begin with your hair. The president will not be pleased if she returns and no one is ready."

Alix lowered her head and sighed. "I can't believe that I am missing it."

She couldn't help thinking that she was the saddest fan in the concert venue. All the others were watching their idol and she was stuck backstage.

She sighed again like a lost puppy and whispered to herself. "How sad."

Apparently, the system elf did not appreciate her silly self pity and it complained. "Cut it out, you see him all the time. You are married to his brother. He is always popping in and out of your house so why the over reaction?"

"You won't understand." She answered. "I...."
