The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Chapter 340: Just like old times.

Zhang Xian continued to hold his head down, saying nothing in response.

"I hope you know what you have done because when you come to your senses i am certain that you will come to regret that decision. I know that you feel entitled to pay back Nana but let me ask this, all through your marriage did you not work and provide as the head of the family?"

"I did." he responded softly.

"Did you put food on the table?" grandpa Zhang asked him.

"I did." he answered.

"Did you pay for your sons education and school materials?"

Again, Zhang Xian nodded and he answered, "I did."

It was true that he had provided the best he could by working in factories. His health condition in the beginning had not been the best so there were days when he had to miss work, sometimes a month or two. Nana's earnings had carried them through those days.

What he earned was never enough to cater to all their needs so Nana had covered the gaps. It was safe to say that they both worked to keep the family afloat. He couldn't keep all the credit to himself.

"You were not an irresponsible father or husband. You don't owe that foul mouthed woman anything my son. Someday, after you regain your old self and the feelings of entitlement are gone, you will realize that she is not worthy of you.

That she disrespects you in private and public and her greed is a danger to you, your son and the family.

You will begin to see that sometimes, you can lead a horse to water but cannot force it to drink. You will stay up at night, listening to her snore while thinking about what might have been if you had chosen a different path. That is when you will regret letting Yura go the most."

Grandpa Zhang had heard Nana mentioning that she wanted to invite some relatives from her family to the mansion. If they were as greedy as her, people like that would not hesitate to steal and take advantage of their Zhang family.

Grandpa Zhang was making preparations for when this happened. It would be a teaching moment for his son as well, an opportunity to learn how to keep his guard up again.

"Xian," he said frigidly.

"Yes father." Zhang Xian answered.

"I don't know how much longer your mother and i can endure to watch you act meek and stupid. Even your oldest sons are disappointed but doing their best to endure. This is why i have decided to reenroll you into the old Zhang Family way of life. Apart from work, you are going to learn etiquette, business knowledge, self defense and other things. I will see to it that you are sharpened into your old self again."

He pointed to the door with his walking cane and said, "Behind this door, your life will start again. The first rule here is that your...that woman must never step foot in here."

The door was opened and grandpa Zhang gestured to Zhang Xian with his head.

"Go in." he ordered.

Before Zhang Xian could take a step, two men in black appeared from behind and grabbed him on both sides. He was confused and his eyes trembled as he sought for direction from his father.

"If i hear that anyone is taking it easy on him, i will send them packing."

"Yes elder." the men answered.

Zhang Xian was dragged inside while grandpa Zhang walked away. Just as his son would begin training to return to his peak, he would tell his wife to go all out with Nana. A woman that had no respect for the parents of the man she loved didn't deserve to be treated gently.

At Yura's condo meanwhile, she was all smiles and joy with none of the misery Nana was experiencing.

Despite her many objections, Yura's wishes were not respected. One by one, her children showed up to her house with smiles and food or drinks of some sort, eager to keep her company.

Caishen and Bo set up the camping tents. They including everything including a fake camp fire props to make the experience authentic. The living room, where they set up was big enough for three tents that could accommodate two people each.

Xiaobo was helping, or trying to help as much as he could. Bo was planning to send him into the tent to sleep after thirty minutes.

Out of the blue, Bo told Caishen, "I know we said just like old times but it's not going to be like that. Your wife and Xiaobo are new additions to the camping, home edition experience."

"It's more lively." Caishen replied.

"You two didn't have to bring your cats though. I swear, you are the most weird couple i know." Bo muttered.

The two cats were watching an action animation on the television. One would think they were children with the way they were focused and meowing occasionally as if they were conversing.

"We are cat parents, not weird people." Caishen replied.

"Have you heard from him yet, father?" Bo asked him.

"Another apology." Caishen answered.

Bo sighed. He was tired of the apologies their father continued making everyday. The brothers arranged the cooking area in front of the tents. They would be having hotpot for dinner, that was also a tradition during camping.

While they did that, she was in the kitchen with Alix and Zhang An, preparing snacks and drinks. Alix's stomach kept rumbling every few minutes, sharing the news of her hunger.

Unable to hold herself back, she grabbed a roasted sausage and bit off half of it.

Yura giggled and shook her head. "I knew she would not back."

Zhang An pouted and complained, "Oooh, sister, if you had held yourself back for five more minutes i would have won something from mom."

Alix swallowed and told her, "I haven't eaten anything since we ate porridge. I am starving, you have no idea how much."

Zhang An had not eaten anything since the porridge and neither had Yura. While they could both eat right now, they were not as ravenous as Alix. One would assume that she had not eaten all day if they didn't know better.

"Your metabolism is really extreme. It's not just fast but harsh and brutal. No wonder you eat every two hours or so." Yura told her.

Alix sighed pitifully. She had exhausted energy in the gaming world and she had not eaten the snacks she prepared because she was distracted by the conversation with Caishen. After the conversation, they had set off for this place.

She couldn't explain how the gaming world worked to them so she just shrugged.

"I will take these out." She picked up another sausage with a fork and bit off half before carrying the rest of the platter out to the living room.

While she was walking, she heard Zhang An asking Yura, "Mother, are you sure you won't regret it?"

"What?" Yura replied.

"The divorce. Are you sure that you will not regret letting our father go? I want a more honest answer from you, woman to woman. I don't want any of the perfunctory replies that you give our brothers because you are trying to ensure that they remain on good terms with dad."

Alix put down the sausages next to the sandwiches while listening as she wanted to hear Yura's response. She was curious as well to know if Yura had any regrets.
