This Naruto is A Bit Too Evil

Chapter 14: Chapter 14 Transparent Release

When Naruto returned home, it was already late at night.

He felt a bit guilty toward Teuchi and Ayame. After all, because of his presence at Ichiraku Ramen, the shop had barely any customers all evening.

Originally, he planned to leave after finishing his ramen, but Ayame kept pulling him into conversation, asking about this and that. Since it was a rare opportunity to have a normal chat with someone, Naruto decided to stay, chatting while sampling every type of ramen on the menu.

He hadn't spent any money in over a year, so his wallet was still full.

'What a simple, kind pair of father and daughter.'

Naruto sighed, and as soon as he opened the door, his expression quickly became strange.

The house wasn't exactly clean. After all, it had been over a year since he'd last been here, and dust had settled everywhere.

He didn't bother turning on the lights. Instead, he directly opened the fridge to check its contents. It was filled with milk and instant noodles, all of which had long since expired. These items had been close to expiring when he left, but he'd been too lazy to throw them out.

Naruto pulled out two cups of instant noodles, boiled the water that had been sitting in the kettle for a year and a half, and prepared the noodles. He placed them on the tatami in the living room, then leaned back into the shadows of the couch.

The moonlight illuminated his lower body but left his upper half in darkness.

After over a year of surviving in the wild, a little dust didn't bother him.

"This is just awful."

Naruto suddenly complained, though his voice was low. In the dim light, the three tomoe in his Sharingan spun quietly.

"I'd already started ignoring you all, but why did you have to come and show yourselves in front of me?"

"Huff-"

For a moment, the sound of rapid breathing seemed to echo in the room, but it disappeared just as quickly.

Naruto stopped talking, his expression growing cold as he waited for the noodles to soften and turn mushy.

"Do you like soggy ramen? If it's too mushy, the texture isn't great."

Naruto suddenly spoke, as if talking to himself or perhaps asking someone a question. But there was no response in the room.

"If you don't say something soon, you might starve to death."

Naruto suddenly turned his head, his vertical pupils locking onto a corner of the room.

The Anbu Ninja, who had been using Transparent Release, was startled. He had suspected he might have been discovered, but he hadn't expected it to be true. After all, Naruto was a child under six years old.

A masked Ninja with a cat-like mask suddenly appeared in front of him and asked in surprise: "You know Sensory Jutsu?"

"Is that the legendary Transparent Release?" Naruto didn't answer, but instead looked curiously at the Anbu Ninja who had just revealed himself.

In fact, Naruto didn't know any Sensory Jutsu. And he didn't seem to have the talent to awaken the Uzumaki Clan's Mind's Eye of the Kagura.

It was just that the moment he opened the door, the malice and killing intent in the room had become overwhelming. He was used to sensing all kinds of malice every day, even while training in the wild. But someone radiating such intense killing intent right from the start? That was new.

Naruto opened the lid of the instant noodles, noting that they had indeed turned mushy. He smiled warmly at the Anbu Ninja and said: "Want some? I made it just for you."

The Anbu Ninja's expression under the mask turned grim, his eyes filled with disgust. He answered with a sneer, "Only a beast like you would eat this kind of garbage."

"What a shame." Naruto sighed, poking at the noodles in the paper cup.

"By the way, you still haven't answered my question."

"What question?"

The Anbu Ninja was already preparing to leave. Since he'd been discovered, there was no point staying.

He also knew that Naruto, despite being under six years old, already had the strength of a Chunin. His talent was as astonishing as Kakashi's had been.

But he was a Special Jonin, after all, so he had some confidence. He decided to stay a little longer, wanting to teach this arrogant, disgusting criminal a lesson.

"Is your ability to be invisible just now a Transparent Release?" Naruto asked like a curious little boy.

"..."

"What do you want?" The Anbu Ninja didn't answer but didn't deny it either, and instead countered with a question.

In the darkness, with only a sliver of moonlight filtering through the window, the room's details were hard to make out. The shadows fell across Naruto's body as he suddenly grinned, his lips curling upward to reveal a row of white teeth.

"Nothing much. It just seems fun. Can you lend it to me?"

Seeing Naruto's gleaming teeth, the Anbu Ninja felt a chill run down his spine. For a moment, his limbs turned ice-cold, as if something had locked onto him.

As an experienced Anbu Ninja, he knew exactly what this feeling meant. The last time he'd felt it was when he'd secretly investigated one of the Sannin, Orochimaru, and been discovered.

'This monster wants my Kekkei Genkai!'

Without any hesitation, he immediately threw two kunai, aiming for Naruto's forehead and heart.

At the same time, he bolted for the door, crashing through it in an instant. The impact sent him tumbling several times on the ground outside.

"Huff- huff- huff-"

"It seems the Jinchuriki isn't all that..."

Before the Anbu Ninja could catch his breath, his mocking words caught in his throat. He suddenly saw Naruto sitting on the couch, backlit by the moonlight, with kunai sticking out of his forehead and chest, grinning at him.

'Something was off. That spot had been in shadow just moments ago. How could it suddenly be backlit?'

'This is a Genjutsu!' The Anbu Ninja immediately realized what was happening and made a hand seal to dispel the illusion. But all he felt was a brief disturbance in his Chakra, and nothing changed.

"How disappointing. I thought we could play a bit longer."

The Anbu Ninja couldn't see Naruto's expression clearly, but from his tone, he could tell the boy was deeply disappointed.

"Uzumaki Naruto! Are you planning to betray the village?"

"Don't forget, it was the village that raised you, an orphan. Are you going to repay kindness with betrayal?"

The Anbu Ninja suddenly spoke with a threatening tone, though his voice trembled slightly. He drew the short sword from his back, staying fully alert.

'Why is this Jinchuriki's Genjutsu so strong?'

Seeing the Anbu Ninja tense up, Naruto suddenly wanted to ask a question.

"Before today, I've never done anything to wrong the village, right?"

"What?"

"As an Anbu Ninja, you should know I'm the Jinchuriki, and even the child of Yondaime Hokage. So why do you hate me so much?" Naruto sounded genuinely puzzled. If the Anbu Ninja hadn't been hiding in the corner with such intense killing intent, he wouldn't have bothered with him.

The Anbu Ninja pursed his lips, his grip on the short sword tightening. His voice was hoarse as he said: "My parents died during the Nine-Tails attack!"

Naruto frowned and said puzzledly: "So what does that have to do with me? I'm just the Jinchuriki."

The Anbu Ninja said viciously: "If you hadn't been born, the Nine-Tails attack would never have happened! Your parents weren't heroes of Konoha… they were the village's true criminals!"

The Anbu Ninja's expression twisted into a snarl.

"Someone like you shouldn't have been born in this world!"

"?"

"How arrogant, even though you are so weak."

Naruto was stunned, his expression shifting to one of disbelief. He had never considered things from this angle.

'It's true that if Kushina hadn't gotten pregnant, the Nine-Tails attack might not have happened. But this line of thinking was incredibly self-centered.'

"Go to hell!"

While Naruto was still pondering the logic, a short sword glinting in the moonlight shot straight toward his heart. The Anbu Ninja had seized the opportunity.

Every day, he had dreamed of killing the person responsible for his parents' death. But as a Konoha Ninja, he had to suppress his hatred. Now, he could finally avenge his parents.

'Even if Sandaime-sama punished me, I would have no regrets. I just hoped my actions wouldn't affect Hayate.'

Puff-

The sound of the blade piercing flesh echoed. The Anbu Ninja's lips curled into a triumphant smile under his mask, and he couldn't help but sneer inwardly.

'Hmph, no matter how talented the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is, what does it matter? Real Ninja grow through battle. A genius who's never experienced war dies easily.'

"You... gurgle..."

The Anbu Ninja wanted to mock Naruto, but thick liquid filled his mouth, making it impossible to speak. The searing pain in his chest turned his smug expression into one of terror.

He suddenly realized that Naruto's face, with the kunai sticking out of it, was as terrifying as a demon.

"Gurgle..."

The Anbu Ninja let out a pained groan, and his vision suddenly became blurred. When his vision became clear again, he was sitting on the couch, with a short sword piercing his chest.

He looked at the owner of the sword with difficulty. It was a figure wearing an animal mask. The Anbu Ninja could almost see the disdain beneath that mask. Finally, it dawned on him.

'I... killed myself?'

Naruto sat quietly on the opposite couch. Ever since he returned, he had been sitting there, calmly and delightedly watching the Anbu Ninja stab himself in the heart.

Looking at the twitching corpse on the couch, Naruto felt no discomfort. After all, he had spent over a year processing wild game in the wilderness. It was hard to feel sympathy for food.

Naruto walked over and removed the Anbu Ninja's mask, revealing a young, determined face…

'Probably in his early twenties, so it wasn't Hayate.'

"How ugly."

He glanced at the mask in his hand, hesitated for a moment, then tucked it into his pocket. The vertical pupil in his right eye trembled slightly, and a vortex appeared in Naruto's hand. The Anbu Ninja's body and the bloodstains on the couch were all absorbed into the vortex.

Naruto felt his Chakra increase slightly, and a strange energy suddenly appeared in his body. Following his body's natural instincts, he formed a hand seal.

His body gradually disappeared from sight.
