This Naruto is A Bit Too Evil

Chapter 29: Chapter 29 Hiruzen's Suspicion

Naruto looked at Kakashi and Guy standing outside his door, his face showing a hint of surprise.

"Uncle Guy, One-Eyed Uncle, what brings you here?"

Kakashi, as usual, had his dead-fish eyes and remained silent, leaving the talking to Guy.

Guy, full of enthusiasm, bent down and slung an arm around Naruto's neck, then said: "Young man, are you ready to burn your Youth with us today?"

Naruto felt a bit awkward. He hadn't expected Guy and Kakashi to show up at his house directly. He had initially thought that Kakashi and Guy were assigned by Hiruzen to both monitor and protect him.

After all, for so many years, Hiruzen had never allowed anyone other than himself to get close to Naruto. And with Kakashi being one of Konoha's top Elite Jonin and Guy capable of unleashing Kage-level power at any moment, they were more than capable of protecting the Jinchuriki.

But now, Naruto realized that while Kakashi might have been specifically assigned by Hiruzen, Guy's presence was likely a coincidence… a chance encounter on the street that Hiruzen had tacitly allowed to continue.

'Perhaps it was because of Guy's pure personality and the fact that he had no ulterior motives or political ties.'

"It's surprising that after all these years, Guy is still the same. He really takes after his father, Might Duy. But Kakashi... he still hasn't moved on from the shadows of the past."

Inside the seal space, Minato watched his former student and the son of an old friend, feeling a sense of nostalgia, 'They say that times change, but after all these years, it seemed more like the people had stayed the same while the village had changed.'

Naruto ignored Minato's musings and smiled at the two, stepping aside to let them in: "Uncle Guy, One-Eyed Uncle, come on in first."

Guy and Kakashi entered with curiosity.

Since Naruto lived alone, his house was simple, small, and somewhat cold, giving off a cramped feeling. The furnishings were minimal, with just a table and a sofa in the living room. However, the place was spotlessly clean, though the trash bin was filled with empty instant noodle cups.

Kakashi remained silent after entering, his head slightly lowered, making it hard to see his expression. Perhaps he felt a bit guilty.

If Kakashi was a stagnant pool of water, then Guy was a volcano on the verge of eruption.

Tears streamed down Guy's face as he suddenly hugged Naruto, who was hesitating whether to prepare tea.

"Young man..."

Naruto, who was caught off guard by the sudden embrace from a grown man, couldn't help but twitch his lips. In just a moment, he felt his shoulder dampen.

They say women are made of water, but Naruto realized Guy was the real waterworks. 'What man cries this much?'

'It is still difficult for me to be like Lee. Perhaps only Lee can truly become Guy's disciple.'

Naruto struggled out of Might Guy's embrace, and said with some shame: "Uncle Guy, you and One-Eyed Uncle should sit down first. I'll explain in a bit."

Naruto poured each of them a glass of water… plain water, since he didn't have tea at home. He wasn't a tea drinker, and he rarely had guests over. Aside from instant noodles, plain water was all he had.

Naruto briefly explained why he hadn't been to the training ground recently. Of course, he couldn't tell them the real reason. He simply said he was developing a powerful new Jutsu at home and wanted to keep it as his secret weapon. Once it was complete, he would challenge them to a match, and he was confident he would win.

Kakashi's deadpan expression returned. He assumed Naruto was just being a competitive kid, trying to find a way to beat them. But 'guaranteed victory' was impossible. While Kakashi often seemed strained during their spars, that was only because he wasn't taking them seriously. No matter what, Kakashi always won.

Guy, however, took it seriously. With a determined expression, he declared that he would never lose and vowed to train even harder before their next match. Aside from his eternal rival Kakashi, he wouldn't lose to anyone.

With that, the two left Naruto's house, each with their own thoughts.

---

"Developing a new Jutsu? Truly, he's Minato's child!"

Hiruzen couldn't help but feel a sense of pride upon receiving Kakashi's report. Naruto had brought him so many surprises, almost to the point of being alarming.

'Not only was Naruto rapidly improving his mastery of existing Jutsu, but he had even begun developing his own Jutsu. The student was surpassing the master.'

'However, since the incident with Danzo's scheme, Naruto's personality had shown some troubling signs. Perhaps it was time to call Jiraiya back.'

As Hiruzen pondered this, the door suddenly swung open without a knock or greeting.

"Huruzen, is there still no information about the mysterious intruder?"

The person who came was Danzo. Hiruzen didn't even flinch at Danzo's rudeness. After decades, he was used to it.

He shook his head and said with some disappointment: "Hiashi says the Byakugan hasn't detected anything suspicious. The Inuzuka and Aburame Clans haven't found anything either."

When Danzo heard the news, his expression darkened, and he said angrily: "Then it seems this is all the evil Uchiha's doing!"

Hiruzen's brow furrowed. "Danzo, don't speak nonsense!"

Danzo stared straight at Hiruzen.

"This is the Uchiha Clan's conspiracy. Otherwise, an outsider who came to steal Kekkei Genkai wouldn't have gone unnoticed for so long."

"Danzo, I believe in Shisui!" Hiruzen said firmly.

"Huruzen, have you forgotten sensei's words?" Danzo's gaze was equally resolute.

"Any Uchiha who awakens the Mangekyo Sharingan becomes twisted and extreme. Uchiha Shisui is likely no longer the same person who once had the village's best interests at heart."

"That intruder is a smokescreen released by the Uchiha to divert our attention. Their goal is to have Shisui use his Mangekyo's ability to control you, then seize the opportunity to launch a coup against the village! To this end, they've already killed one of Konoha's Anbu members."

"That's impossible!" Hiruzen instinctively rejected Danzo's theory. His expression became very ugly, and then he said: "I believe in Shisui's Will of Fire! And I believe the Uchiha would never do anything to harm the village!"

"Hiruzen! Are you going to endanger the village because of your own stubbornness?" Danzo looked at his old friend with disappointment. 'The once-mighty Ninja Hero hid become so weak.'

"Enough, Danzo. I am the Hokage, and I will make the decision on this matter!"

Hiruzen unleashed his ultimate move, dealing 100,000 true damage to Danzo.

"Huruzen, you... you'll regret this!"

Bang!

After throwing down his usual ultimatum, Danzo stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

Hiruzen sat in his chair, smoking his pipe alone. His thin frame looked somewhat desolate.

He had also suspected this for a while now. After all, it had been over a month, and the village had been eerily quiet. More importantly, aside from Shisui, there had been no other witnesses to that night's events. And it had happened at such a critical time.

'Although Shisui had informed me about the Uchiha's plans for a coup and the abilities of his Mangekyo Sharingan, sometimes the real lie was hidden among nine truths. The power of that Mangekyo was something we couldn't afford to ignore.'

"Shisui..."

Hiruzen lowered his head and muttered to himself, his expression became more bitter and his eyes became darker.
