This Naruto is A Bit Too Evil

Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Learning Wind Release

Rip!

As Chakra was infused into the Chakra Test Paper in Naruto's hand, it split cleanly down the middle.

Naruto blinked at the torn paper, then looked up at Hiruzen with curiosity.

The knowledge barrier in the Ninja World was incredibly rigid, with a near-impenetrable divide between the upper and lower ranks. Chakra Nature Transformation was knowledge typically reserved for Jonin-level Ninja, and such advanced knowledge was rarely shared with those below.

This was why, aside from Ninja from great clans, civilian Ninja rarely knew anything about Chakra Nature Transformation. It was also one of the reasons why few civilians ever rose to the rank of Jonin.

Beyond bloodlines, knowledge was also a cornerstone of the great shinobi clans.

Hiruzen chuckled and began to explain: "Since the paper splits cleanly down the middle, it means your Chakra Nature is wind."

"Chakra is generally divided into five natures: Fire, Wind, Lightning, Water, and Earth. Each nature causes a different reaction in the Chakra Test Paper.

Fire: the paper will burn. Wind: the paper will split. Lightning: the paper will wrinkle. Water: the paper will dampen. Earth: the paper will crumble. If you possess all five natures, the paper will show all these reactions in different areas, with one part burning, one part splitting, one part wrinkling, one part dampening, and one part crumbling."

"So, does having more natures make you stronger?" Naruto asked innocently.

"Not necessarily. Chakra Nature is just one way to use Chakra. If you possess a certain Chakra Nature, you can convert your neutral Chakra into that Chakra Nature when you channel it through your body. For example, to use a Fire Release Ninjutsu, you convert neutral Chakra into Fire Chakra. This is Nature Transformation."

"But the most important prerequisite for using elemental Ninjutsu is the amount of Chakra you have. If your Chakra reserves are insufficient, even if you possess all five Chakra Natures, it will be difficult to perform elemental Ninjutsu. Additionally, Chakra Natures can also be developed through training."

"As for Chakra Shape Transformation, it involves releasing Chakra externally and then manipulating its form. The Rasengan you've been practicing is the purest example of Chakra Shape Transformation, compressing Chakra into a rapidly spinning sphere."

"So, Naruto-chan, the most suitable Ninjutsu for you to learn now would be Wind Release Ninjutsu."

"Grandpa Sandaime, how do I transform my Chakra's Nature?"

Naruto asked excitedly.

"Wind Chakra is most notable for its cutting ability, making it extremely powerful for offense."

Hiruzen casually picked up a fallen leaf from the ground. As he channeled his Chakra, the leaf was cleanly sliced in half.

"All you need to do is... first like this... then like that... Once you can easily cut a leaf like this, you'll be ready to learn Wind Release Ninjutsu."

Naruto immediately picked up a leaf and began trying. However, after several attempts, he still hadn't succeeded, and a look of frustration crossed his face.

Hiruzen nodded, as if this were expected. After all, mastering Chakra Nature Transformation was a long and arduous process. Even though he was now known as the 'Professor' and could perform all five element Ninjutsu with ease, it had taken him years to fully master a single Chakra Nature.

"Naruto-chan, there's no need to rush. You're still..."

Before Hiruzen could finish his words of comfort, they caught in his throat.

At this time, Naruto was now holding a leaf that had been cleanly sliced in half, and there's a look of delight on his face as he eagerly looked up at Hiruzen.

'What a joke. System rewards might not always be top-tier, but they're never trash. The reward I received was 'Chakra Mastery,' which essentially saved me years of training and helped me avoid countless pitfalls. Not only do I not have to worry about the Nine-Tails' Chakra interfering, but I can also shape my Chakra however I want.'

The initial failures were just to throw Hiruzen off. Naruto hadn't expected his performance to still come off as too genius. He had thought Chakra Nature Transformation wasn't that difficult, especially since Sasuke in the original work had been able to spit fire at a river by the age of five or six. So, after a few attempts, he decided to show success.

Hiruzen swallowed his saliva with difficulty and forced a smile.

"It seems that Naruto-chan has a pretty good talent."

'Thankfully, Naruto's Will of Fire is pure, and he genuinely cares for the villagers. Otherwise, I wouldn't feel comfortable teaching him shinobi knowledge so quickly.'

Thinking of this, Hiruzen's face broke into a satisfied smile.

Feeling the shift in Hiruzen's underlying malice, Naruto's heart skipped a beat. When it finally settled, he let out a quiet sigh of relief, 'It seemed I wouldn't have to become a Missing-nin at such a young age.'

"Grandpa Sandaime, can you teach me a new Ninjutsu now?"

Naruto blinked his big eyes, looking up at Hiruzen with eager anticipation.

Hiruzen smiled and reached out with his gnarled hand to ruffle Naruto's hair. The calluses on his palm scratched Naruto's scalp.

"Naruto-chan, the Ninjutsu you've mastered so far are all close-range techniques. Since that's the case, step back for now. Today, Grandpa will teach you a long-range Wind Releae Ninjutsu."

Naruto quickly took a few steps back as Hiruzen stood in place, forming three hand seals before facing the gently flowing river.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!"

Chakra quickly gathered in Hiruzen's mouth, and he exhaled a burst of air, firing the accumulated Chakra like bullets toward the river. He followed up with several short bursts, firing them like a machine gun.

The Vacuum Sphere quickly struck the surface of the river, sending large splashes of water into the air. The once calm river was now riddled with holes, and the slow-flowing water suddenly became turbulent. It wasn't until the riverbed's many craters were filled that the water returned to its calm state.

"Wow, that's amazing."

Naruto's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Alright, Naruto-chan, let me explain this Ninjutsu to you now."

Hiruzen explained the three hand seals required for the Ninjutsu in great detail. Although it was a B-Rank Ninjutsu, it wasn't particularly complicated due to the small number of hand seals. The key factors were Chakra Reserves and proficiency.

Naruto quickly grasped the basics of the Ninjutsu and walked to the riverbank, mimicking Hiruzen's stance. He then clumsily formed the three hand seals.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!"

A large amount of Chakra gathered in Naruto's mouth, and he exhaled with great force toward the river.

However, the result was underwhelming. Despite gathering a significant amount of Wind Chakra, the Vacuum Sphere Naruto released was only the size of a marble. It floated lazily toward the river and, upon hitting the water, created only a small ripple.

Naruto's face visibly fell.

"Haha, it's alright, Naruto-chan." Hiruzen said, walking over and placing his hand on Naruto's head again. "Being able to successfully perform a Ninjutsu on your first try is already quite impressive. Just keep practicing."

"I will practice hard." Naruto said with unwavering determination.

"Good. Grandpa believes in you." Hiruzen glanced at the sky, where the sun had fully risen. "In that case, make sure to stay safe while practicing. Grandpa has some things to attend to, so I'll take my leave now."

"Okay, goodbye, Grandpa Sandaime," Naruto said, with a hint of reluctance in his voice.

"Naruto-chan, I'll come visit you again when I have time."

Hiruzen smiled, then used the Body Flicker Technique and disappeared in a flash.

As Naruto watched the spot where Hiruzen had vanished, his smile didn't fade. Sensing the presence of the Anbu hidden in the shadows, his smile grew even brighter.

'Today is a good day.'
