Transformed into Kanna in Terra

Chapter 41: A rare moment of peace and skill improvement

While chatting, the group arrived at Lena's greenhouse.

At first, Lena was a bit nervous seeing so many children coming into her greenhouse, worried they might trample the flowers. However, once she saw Amiya leading them, she relaxed.

After all, as Rhodes Island's leader, Amiya had earned a great reputation among the people on the island, thanks to Kal'tsit's teachings. Her mind-reading ability, along with her kind nature and gentle appearance, made her highly respected by many.

After a brief discussion with Lena, she gladly agreed to let the children play in the greenhouse.

For Rosmontis, who had only ever seen the barren wastelands outside or the dull metallic interior of landships, the explosion of colors—red, blue, green, purple, and countless exotic flowers—felt like stepping into another world.

Moreover, many of the flowers in Lena's greenhouse had calming properties, and their fragrance, mixed with the scent of soil, brought an unexpected sense of peace. Any lingering hesitation she had about joining Rhodes Island disappeared in that moment.

The group ended up sitting there until evening. When Outcast noticed that Kanna hadn't shown up at the cafeteria on time, she came to check on them, which made them realize how long they had been lost in the greenhouse.

Before they left, Lena brought out several freshly made scent pouches.

She distributed them to the four girls, and when she reached Kanna, she gently patted her horns and whispered, "I know Kanna is a good girl, so if you ever want to come play in the greenhouse, feel free to visit anytime!"

She even winked playfully.

After leaving the greenhouse, Kanna patted her stomach.

Following Outcast, the group arrived at the cafeteria, where most people had already finished eating, leaving only a few still lingering.

When Kanna entered, a few operators who were about to leave stopped and went back to their seats. One of them, Yunlong, even started placing bets on how much Kanna would eat today.

Hearing their discussion, Kanna glanced over. Yunlong, sitting at the center of the group, noticed her looking and waved with a grin. Realizing that Kanna had caught on to their little gambling game, he didn't look the least bit embarrassed. Instead, he cheerfully gave her a thumbs-up, encouraging her to eat as much as possible.

For a moment, Kanna had the urge to go all-in and finish every last bit of food in the cafeteria. Unfortunately, she didn't have money, as her last mission's paycheck had been confiscated by Kal'tsit and handed to Outcast for "safekeeping."

At the time, Kanna hadn't argued, thinking that since food was free anyway, she didn't really need the money. Now, however, watching others bet on her without being able to participate was frustrating.

With that thought, she turned her frustration into appetite, devouring plate after plate at an astonishing speed, leaving the spectators in shock.

For Rosmontis, it was the first time seeing Kanna eating at full power. The sheer speed and efficiency of her eating left her wide-eyed, staring in a daze as plate after plate was brought in, only to vanish just as quickly into Kanna's mouth. She was so mesmerized that she almost forgot to eat herself.

After returning to her room, Rosmontis remained dazed for a while. Then, suddenly, she began to laugh. As she laughed, tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.

Eventually, she lay back on the bed, exhausted but smiling.

The fear and anxiety that had plagued her eyes were gone. Though the experiments had left her with poor memory, she would never forget the names of the two people who had brought her comfort—Amiya and Kanna.

And so, for a while, Kanna's days on Rhodes Island remained peaceful.

As for missions, after completing her last one, she had gained an entire set of Lightning Taijutsu techniques from Naruto, including related skills.

However, Kanna was not satisfied.

After all, Lightning Taijutsu was just using lightning to enhance one's body and then relying on extreme physical ability to execute attacks. Even without gaining the skill, Kanna could have trained it herself.

The reason she hadn't trained in it before? She was lazy.

This particular Taijutsu style required constant training, like rowing against the current—stop practicing, and you lose your edge. Kanna had zero interest in such a tedious and repetitive training regimen.

She also didn't want to turn into a muscle-bound monster.

The thought of her small frame suddenly developing absurd amounts of muscle—of pulling off her shirt only to reveal a JoJo-style physique—was horrifying.

Still, she copied the Lightning Taijutsu techniques down and handed them to Kal'tsit.

After reading through it, Kal'tsit acknowledged that it looked impressive—but was ultimately useless.

For one, Chakra didn't exist in this world.

And even though some Rhodes Island operators could use lightning-based Originium Arts, forcing them to train like this would either kill them from exhaustion or cause their blood Originium levels to spike, triggering immediate Oripathy outbreaks before they could even finish the training.

That said, some of the combat techniques in the Taijutsu manual were useful.

Kal'tsit called in ACE and Yunlong, and after reviewing the material, they extracted the only viable martial arts techniques from the book.

As for Kanna's original handwritten manual, titled "Ultra Divine Lightning Body Refinement Secret Technique", it was stuffed under Kal'tsit's desk as a makeshift paperweight.

Kal'tsit didn't dare throw it away—but she also didn't want some idiot stumbling upon it and trying to train in it.

After all, unlike Kanna, a freak of nature, a normal person attempting this would just die faster.

Meanwhile, Kanna had given up on her mission system. The latest missions were nearly impossible to complete without leaving Rhodes Island, and she refused to even look at them.

Instead, she focused on perfecting her own abilities—specifically, Palm Lightning and Stellar Alignment.

Her Palm Lightning had evolved to the point where she could release it from anywhere on her body and adjust its range and power as needed.

Currently, she could focus and fire a precise bolt from the top of the ship's observation deck and hit a ten-centimeter-wide target at the front of the ship.

And its power was no joke.

Calculations showed that if an operator didn't properly guard against it, a single shot could severely injure them.

Her accuracy, precision, and power had earned high praise from Outcast, who had assisted in her training.

As for Stellar Alignment, an idea had suddenly popped into Kanna's mind during training—

She recalled the "Barrel Chain" combo from Gangplank in League of Legends.

Gangplank would set up explosive barrels and chain them together to create a devastating chain reaction.

Kanna realized that her Thunder Wedges could do the same thing.
