Transformers Prime: I am Allspark

Chapter 89: The Touch Part 49

Zeta Prime led the group up the floating staircase made of rocks, ascending toward a small star encircled by towering pillars.

Right behind him was Alpha Trion, who glanced down and felt a wave of disorientation at the dizzying height. He was followed by Onyx, who stepped confidently onto the rocks without even looking, trusting his instincts. However, the one who stood out the most was Solus Prime, who sat on Onyx's right shoulder like a child, wiggling her legs as if it was normal to use the Prime of the Beasts as a means of transportation.

Micronus Prime floated in his classic lotus position, utterly indifferent to the height. As one of the few Primes capable of flight, he seemed to defy gravity effortlessly. Bringing up the rear was Liege Maximo, his demeanor cold and detached, more so than even Onyx. His piercing eyes were fixed on Alpha Trion, scrutinizing him from head to toe without a hint of subtlety.

When the six Primes reached the summit of the mystical staircase, they found another Prime already there, surrounded by holographic screens displaying mathematical calculations of such complexity that they would overwhelm even the most brilliant minds.

Alpha Trion immediately recognized the Prime and was stunned to see him within the Allspark, a clear indication that he had died in the mortal realm.

"Alchemist? You're here too?" Alpha Trion asked, genuinely surprised to encounter another of his brethren in this dimension.

Alchemist Prime turned at the sound of a familiar voice, his gaze briefly lingering on Alpha Trion's aged appearance before returning to his calculations. "It's good to see you again. Did you die, by any chance?"

"I'm still alive. I'm here thanks to the temporary Spiritual Gate of the Allspark." Alpha Trion replied.

"I see."

Alpha Trion was puzzled by his brother's question and couldn't help but probe further. "Is there a problem?"

"Yes, your presence here is rather convenient, given recent events." Zeta Prime interjected, his tone grave. "It hasn't been long, but the Alchemist has been defeated."

Alpha Trion's optics widened in shock. Though Alchemist Prime was known more for his scientific prowess than combat, he was far from weak. "You mean you...?"

"Yes, I was murdered." Alchemist admitted, his voice devoid of emotion.

"There aren't many in the universe capable of defeating a Prime." Solus remarked, crossing her arms and glancing at Onyx, who nodded in silent agreement. It was clear they both suspected the same individual.

"That is why we must begin this meeting." Zeta Prime declared, his voice drawing attention, especially from Primes like Liege Maximo, who had a habit of ignoring everything said in meetings.

Zeta Prime nodded to Micronus, signaling him to use his powers to create a more suitable environment for their discussion.

At first, a series of hexagonal metal rocks rose from the ground, forming a circular structure of varying sizes. The center remained flat, resembling an arena, though its purpose was simply to provide a space for conversation.

The Primes took their seats on the rocks, some lounging lazily while others, like Zeta Prime, Alpha Trion, and Alchemist, sat with formal posture.

Alpha Trion looked at his brothers and was flooded with memories. He remembered the times when they met to discuss the security and governance of their planet - a chaotic and stressful time for them, but one that had its good moments.

A mix of emotions stirred within him. He was happy to be reunited with them, yet the circumstances left him with a profound sense of emptiness. Not all of the Primes were present, and the absence weighed heavily on his Spark.

Alpha Trion couldn't help but think of Prima Prime. He noticed the eldest of the Primes was missing and couldn't resist asking, "Where is Prima? Shouldn't he be here?"

"Prima is at the main Spiritual Gate, guiding the souls of the deceased who enter this dimension." Liege Maximo explained, his tone dripping with disdain. "He became a fucking bouncer at the bar."

"Don't say that, Maximus." Solus chided, her voice sharp. "He's helping those souls. Many arrive here frightened and lost. Guiding them is a noble responsibility."

"How long has he been doing this?" Alpha Trion asked, curious about this new role his brother had taken on.

"Since he died. He's been at it ever since." Onyx replied, his voice tinged with exhaustion. "He relinquished the leadership of the Primes and now acts independently."

Alpha Trion's optics widened in disbelief. The idea that Prima had abandoned his role as leader of the Primes was almost inconceivable. "That can't be... Are you serious?" He looked to Alchemist, Micronus, and Zeta for confirmation, as they were the most level-headed among the group.

"He's doing it out of guilt." Solus explained, her expression neutral. She reclined on the rocks, using her hands as a pillow. "He believes he failed as a leader and no longer deserves the role."

"And I have been leading the Primes ever since." Zeta Prime stated, his voice authoritative, though it had little effect on the others.

Everyone present understood the reason behind Prima's decision, but no one dared to mention Megatronus by name. Even Liege Maximo refrained from making his usual sarcastic remarks, as the memories of that night were too painful for them all.

Alpha Trion glanced at Onyx, surprised that the Predacon god seemed unbothered by Zeta's leadership. In the past, the question of who should lead the Thirteen Primes had sparked countless arguments.

Onyx met Alpha Trion's gaze and, without prompting, explained, "I have no interest in leadership anymore. I lost my people and my soldiers. I have no right to consider myself a candidate for leader of the Primes." His words were laced with bitterness, a reflection of the guilt he carried for failing to save his faction from extinction.

Alpha Trion nodded, understanding the weight of Onyx's words. He could feel the bitterness shared between the Primes, though he did not yet understand its individual depth, as each dealt with the aftermath of that battle in their own way.

"Now, it is time to discuss the future of Cybertron." Zeta Prime declared, his blue optics gleaming with intensity as he called the meeting to order. "Alpha Trion, let's begin with you. What did you see in your vision?"
