Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas

Chapter 249: Don't worry, we won't stay long

Seo-Jun pulled away from the kiss and dropped his forehead on mine, breathing steadily and watching me as I panted softly.

He loved this, I could tell.

And I... I didn't hate it.

"I'm so thankful for so many things." He suddenly said, and I raised my gaze to meet his, but he didn't say anything else and smiled. "Come on, we still have to watch the dolphin show before we head to our next destination."

He pulled me by the hand and sometimes glanced over his shoulder to see how I was doing. I was still dazed with a little flushed cheek but I was alright.

But something was bugging me.

When he said he was thankful for so many things. Just what... Did he mean? What were the things he was thankful for?

I got curious and planned to ask him about it later.

We got to where the dolphin show was being heard and I saw a dolphin for the first time in my life.

Wait, maybe I saw a dolphin when I was swept away by the ocean at that time, lol. Just kidding.

Anyway, I had fun and was even given the privilege to toss a fish at the dolphin.

I was hesitant at first, since it was my first time and a bit scared but Seo-Jun stood behind me, held my hand, and said,

"If you don't throw the fish, I'll throw you into the water as well so I can see you soaked."

Okay, I don't know if that was a threat but it most definitely sounded like a threat because Seo-Jun must know that I'm scared of the water.

Still, he said that, hoping I'd hurry up and throw the fish before I become one with the water.

And I did.

Like a cat on high alert, I threw the fish towards the water, and the dolphin hopped out, catching it mid-air.

It was amazing.

"See, it wasn't so hard, was it?"

Yeah, it wasn't hard in the slightest so I laughed, wondering what I had been so reluctant about.

"Then, shall we head to the next dating spot?" He asked and it made me wonder just where the next spot was.

First, an aquarium. We weren't going to an amusement park, were we?

I mean, I can't rule it out but whatever... Let's just have fun.

Contrary to my thoughts, the next spot was quite the opposite.

Instead of the fun, exciting, and loud amusement park, we went to a bookstore.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the book shop isn't fun and exciting, especially with words that were yet to be explored in black and white, or grey and white since some pages weren't white, haha, but you get what I mean, right?

It was nothing like the amusement park.

"Are you disappointed?" Seo-Jun asked in whispers as if we were in a library and I looked up at him.

I didn't seem disappointed, did I?

I was just thinking how I had imagined going to an amusement park, only for it to be wrong. I wasn't disappointed in his choice, but my own wrong thoughts, and I didn't want to guess anymore.

But Seo-Jun might've suspected that I was disappointed for me to look that way.

"No, I'm not." I simply said. "I could never be disappointed at a bookstore."

Though I said this, he still looked at me with a skeptical gaze like he was trying to read if I was just covering up my disappointment with my love for books.

"Don't worry, we won't stay long." He said.

"Why?" I asked, looking shocked. I was worried he was planning to leave because of my mood but he suddenly flicked my forehead and said,

"The way you look makes it seem like I want to leave because of you." He said while I whimpered for my bruised forehead.

Wasn't it, though?

"Not everything revolves around you, bunny." He suddenly said and I pouted my lips.

I feel like I should be telling him that, Mr Narcissist.

"This wasn't a planned place for the date. But a new volume of the novel I'm following just came out so I need to grab a copy." He said and I blinked, watching him as he went ahead to search the shelves.

Right. He was a hard-core reader.

And he had money so he could get all the copies he wanted.

Gosh. I was envious.

Still, I admired his determination.

"What book is it?" I asked him and he glanced at me. "Have I read it before?"

"That's for you to know." He said and then told me the name. Hm, it sounded like a book I had read but at the same time, a book I hadn't read.

"You know what. I'll just get the copies from scratch." I said to him. "I'll buy volumes one to four that just came out and then read them later."

I had all the time in the world, anyway, so who was going to stop me if I wanted to read the entire bookstore?

Seo-Jun looked at me and then smiled.

"Sure. I'll get them for you."

He had the volumes in his Library but he got me mine since it felt more fun to get books together.

I also picked out a few other books with interesting titles, and like a child that had been well fed, I burped with satisfaction, holding the bag of books in my hand.

This is the life I envied so much.

Being able to get as many books as I want, and disregarding price, haha.

"Was that fun?" He asked and I turned my head.

Yeah, somewhat.

He didn't wait for my reply and nodded his head. It was as if he read my mind. It rather still, read my smile.

"Come on, let's grab a treat before heading to the next location." He said, taking the bag of books from my hand. "Let's leave this here. Someone will come pick them up."

I nodded and watched as he walked towards the salesperson, who blushed.

He was wearing a nose mask and a hat. He had flung his shades somewhere a while ago. Wait, did he even wear it?

Anyway, the sales guy was able to tell who he was and blushed in excitement. Was he an Omega? Hm, he was pretty decent looking but he was probably recessive.

But why were they talking for so long?

I felt a little unsettled.
