Uchiha, a new beginning

Chapter 11: Chapter 11 Negotiation

The next day, at the hospital.

"Hey Fuyuko, how are you feeling now?" Kai asked.

"I feel better, I can already feel my toes," he commented, adding a gesture of thanks to me.

"Mr. Isamu, how have you been feeling?" I asked, since after what happened the day before, he collapsed in the middle of the training ground.

As I began to speak, he grabbed my shoulder and said, "Very well, Jomei. Also, I have to thank you for what you did for my daughter."

Hearing that, I smiled. "Mr. Izamu, your daughter is our teammate, and I had to at least try. I honestly didn't know if it would work, but..." Mr. Izamu's strong hug made my lungs exhale all the air I had.

"Dad, you're suffocating him." Fuyuko shouted, seeing my face turn purple.

I also gave him a few light taps on the back. The good thing was that he instantly understood what was happening and stopped hugging me.

I understood at that moment why he was so energetic, but since the day before, I'd noticed that his chakra capacity had increased substantially.

At that moment, a clan member entered through one of the windows. "Lord Izamu, you're required for a clan meeting." His voice was completely expressionless, and his face was half-covered.

"Well, I think I have to go, Fuyuko. See you in the afternoon." He hugged his daughter, and as he was about to leave, the ninja's voice sounded again.

"Kai, Kotetzu, and Jomei, you're also required." With these last words, without another word, he left instantly.

The three of us looked at each other at the same time. We didn't know why we had to attend this meeting, although I sort of imagined it.

Kotetzu approached Fuyoko and said goodbye, with a slightly complex look and a hint of hope. "Hrm."

"Don't worry. From what Jomei told me, I'll recover in a couple of months, so I hope to keep up with you guys in training." He said somewhat haughtily, while his gaze focused on Kai and Kotetzu.

"Hey, just wait. When you get back to training, you won't be able to beat me..." Kai wanted to continue arguing, but Kotetzu pulled him out of the room.

As I headed out the door, I gave him a warning. "Fuyuko, if you feel any discomfort or pain, let me know and we'll analyze the problem. See you soon."

"Of course. I hope the meeting goes well, guys." After we left, his expression changed. He looked a little saddened by the fact that on the day he officially became a ninja, he suffered at the hands of Tobirama.

But the next second, he clenched his fist and turned his gaze to the outside of the room.

...

In the Patriarch's Residence.

Madara, who was reviewing the previous day's casualty report, showed disbelief at what he was reading.

Occasionally, he raised one of his eyebrows slightly, until he lowered the scroll in his hands.

It summarized the actions of Tobirama and the members of the Uchiha clan who had been controlled by the Yamanaka technique.

He also added the actions of Kai, Kotetzu, and me.

Madara turned to look at his brother and nodded. Izuna, for his part, stood up and stood before the clan elders and high-ranking members, after which he began to speak.

"Yesterday." Just mentioning those words disturbed the expressions of many of those present, and some only let out a small snort, outraged by the events.

"As many of you know, our clan suffered an external attack, leaving 240 of our members wounded, and only 15 dead."

Upon hearing the death toll, many were shocked. It's worth noting that among the 20 clan members who attacked their families and friends, only 13 had their three-tomoe sharingan.

"This result is due to the rapid mobility of the clan's military personnel, but even more important is the support we received from these three young men." He was referring to Kai Kotetzu and me.

We were escorted by a clan member. We were placed in front of everyone and between Izuna and Madara.

The vast majority of the ninjas gathered there displayed looks of incomprehension, while others reflected respect and gratitude toward each of us.

Some wanted to ask the others the reason for their looks, but they didn't, out of disrespect to Izuna, who was speaking at that moment.

"Some of you already know them, and for those who don't, I'll give you the details of their actions." At that moment, he even coughed lightly to clear his voice.

"They used a ninjutsu capable of healing wounds. The creator is Jomei, but all three of them know how to use this jutsu perfectly. This is why the deaths of some of our members were minor."

When Izuna finally explained why we were there, and why they were thanking us, three four-year-old children, in a certain way, the eyes of those who were unaware of our actions widened, resembling eggs.

One of those present raised his hand. "How many limbs did they use this jutsu on?" a person asked, seemingly incredulous. Even though Izuna was the one who had mentioned it, Madara hadn't said a word to deny it.

Izuna gave us a look, indicating that we should answer the question.

Kai, a little nervous, as it was the first time he had spoken in front of so many people, began to speak.

"I managed to heal three people with high-level injuries, 49 people with mid-level injuries, and 25 with minor injuries."

After that, it was my turn to speak. This reminded me of when in school, the teachers would make you give a presentation on a topic in front of your classmates.

So, not feeling nervous, I stepped forward and said, "My classmate Kotetzu can't speak, so I'll speak for him."

"Kotetzu healed 8 people with serious injuries, 75 with medium injuries, and 49 low-level injuries." I paused for a moment to begin my count.

Kotetzu, for his part, simply said, "Hmm." He nodded and looked arrogantly at Kai.

"I healed 1 person with fatal injuries, 15 with serious injuries, and 25 with minor injuries." After finishing, I returned to where I was.

The rest of the injured were treated by the hospital staff, as they didn't have any serious injuries, so with sterilization and a few bandages, they would recover quickly.

The same person who had spoken laughed mockingly. "You, the one who created the jutsu, treated fewer people than your classmates?"

At that moment, Kai, Kotetzu, and Izuna became annoyed by that person's comment. But I just nodded.

I didn't care what that person or the others thought about me. Not everyone felt the same way, though.

Lord Isamu stood up and defended me against that ninja's comments. "The person you're referring to with lethal wounds is my daughter, who lost a leg." He looked directly at the ninja angrily and added, "Now not only has her wound healed, but she's managed to get that leg back."

Hearing those words, the ninja lowered his gaze, which showed disbelief and a hint of panic. Izuna interrupted the awkward moment by saying, "Well, now that they know that, Jomei, would you be willing to share that jutsu with the clan?"

What Izuna said didn't matter to Madara, even he wasn't interested in this jutsu, but he let his brother continue with it, since, even if he wasn't interested, in the long run, we could have an advantage against the Senju.
