Uchiha, a new beginning

Chapter 18: Chapter 18 Fight or Training?

The body of a ninja emerged from that bush, visibly lifeless, even the fluid of blood spilling from his hand to the ground.

Jomei: "Why don't you come out? Show me what you're capable of."

Seconds later, a total of nine ninjas emerged from all directions, unleashing a flurry of shurikens from their positions.

Unfortunately, their bodies were completely covered; they didn't even wear any symbols of their clan.

I managed to evade the first three by jumping. While in the air, my body twisted in a certain way, allowing the remaining projectiles to pass very close to me, but none of them managed to injure me.

Seeing that the ranged attacks wouldn't do anything to me, they looked at each other silently and began to run in my direction, trying to surround me. Unfortunately for them, after taking a few steps, a series of detonations began to erupt, and five of them fell in the wake of these explosions.

A smug laugh escaped me, seeing that they hadn't even properly examined the surroundings before the attack.

Earlier, when I was examining the detention center, I had installed a series of cables, which were found connected to detonating seals.

"Damn it, surround him!" one of the attackers shouted furiously. Immediately, the other three maneuvered to avoid the remaining seals.

I didn't move an inch; I waited until the four of them were around me. "Haha, kid, you shouldn't have left your clan."

After that comment and their behavior, it was clear to me that they weren't wandering ninjas, but rather ninjas from some clan, at least one that was acting against us.

With that clear in mind, I decided to exterminate them all, but I would leave only one alive to extract information.

The confrontation began with taijutsu tactics. One of them performed a series of blows, which at first glance could have been aimed at my chakra points.

At that moment, I thought they were from the Hyuga clan, but after a few moments, I realized otherwise.

These people's eyes aren't white, so they must be from another clan. Not wanting to waste any more time, I jumped back, causing the ninja to do the same. But when my foot touched the ground, I jumped again, quickly spinning, and unleashed a kick, causing the ninja's neck to snap and fall to the ground.

Jomei: "Why don't we make it interesting? Come all together." I provoked them to see what their attitude would be.

Instantly, one of them drew his katana, while the rest grabbed the kunai by the handle.

Having studied their attacks and speed, I didn't think it was necessary to take any weapons, so I continued with my taijutsu defense stance.

"Don't be arrogant. You're probably tired by now, and you still want to continue with taijutsu? Hahaha."

"It's a shame, but this way we'll avenge our comrades."

"Yes, you're making us feel very aes." I was really fed up with listening to them, so I decided to act. Unfortunately, I didn't let the last one finish, but they earned it.

Using the Shunshin no Jutsu, I struck the one who was speaking hard. It didn't kill him, but at least it would stop him from talking for a while. "Will you just stand there, or will we fight?" I said with a sarcastic smile.

Both men began to make precise movements against me, but I easily evaded them all.

"I'm sorry, but I think the games are over. Still, I thank you. You've helped me understand my current level a little."

I punched the one with the katana so hard in the stomach that he was thrown into a tree, where he ended up trapped in the middle.

Meanwhile, the other one swung his right arm, which held the kunai, trying to slash it. However, his fist hit mine, unfortunately, the iron caught his hand in the blow.

The pain he felt caused the kunai to fall. Before it hit the ground, I grabbed it. While the ninja was moaning, I stabbed him in the neck as I quickly turned around.

There in front of me was the last ninja standing, who had crashed into the tree. "Fūton: Shinkūha." He immediately launched an attack, spinning rapidly, followed by a huge wind blade.

After quickly performing the necessary hand seals, I performed the "Katōn: Gōkakyū no Jutsu." I responded to the attack immediately.

My opponent laughed contentedly, as he watched me make the biggest mistake. As the two attacks crossed, the blast of air caused the fire I had thrown to grow rapidly, but at the same time, it pushed it back in the opposite direction.

Seeing how the immense wave of flames was getting closer and closer, I stopped feeding the flames, crossing my arms, hoping that somehow this would stop them from advancing.

When the fire had completely passed where I was standing, the ninja was practically excited by the victory.

"Hahaha, you damn bastard, you finally met your end, ha, that's what happens when you get too confident." He spent a good while rejoicing in his victory, even though it cost him the lives of the rest of his team, though he didn't care too much.

Seeing his mission accomplished, he prepared to retreat, but upon taking his first step, he fell to the ground, his right leg in excruciating pain.

He tried to examine the reason why his leg was in deep pain, but he found something unimaginable: where his leg should have been, only a trace of blood remained.

Jomei: "Lesson learned, never celebrate victory until you're sure your enemy is truly dead."

My gaze was completely fixed on the ninja lying on the ground, reflecting complete coldness.

"No, wait, I didn't mean to go, argh." I didn't care what he had to say; it would probably be a lie. So I stabbed my katana into his remaining leg.

Jomei: "Lord Isamu, I think it's time to put the assessment aside for now." I commented loudly, so he could reach the place where he was guarding.

Isamu: "I think you're right. We need to gather some information first." Lord Isamu's voice was heard, but it sounded somewhat agitated.

Glancing in his direction, I saw that he had blood on most of his clothing, but he appeared to be unharmed.

Isamu's eyes widened in panic. "Get out of there!" I shouted desperately.

Instinctively, I immediately withdrew my sword and began to run quickly, only to hear a frantic laugh from behind me.

The next second, an explosion sounded, which pushed me so hard that Mr. Isamu had to catch me, while he jumped and adjusted his balance to land on his feet.

Once on the ground, objects and liquids fell to the ground.

Isamu: "Are you okay?"

Jomei: "Yes, just a little disoriented."

Isamu: "Perfect. Next time, open your mouth when you find yourself near an explosion."

Jomei: "Damn!" I exclaimed furiously.

Isamu: "What's going on?"

Jomei: "My backpack, I should have been carrying it the whole time. Now Kazuko will kill me." My legs started to shake, imagining what he'd do to me once he came back and found out I hadn't read the books he gave me.

Isamu: "*sigh* Here, and next time, try not to bring too much stuff." From somewhere unknown, Mr. Isamu pulled out my backpack and handed it to me.
