Tears began to stream down her cheeks as she buried her face against his chest.

"You were zoning out back there," she said, reaching up to place her hand on his forehead. "You feeling okay? You don't seem injured or overheated."

"I'm fine," Li Shen replied with a small smile. "My master just praised me for choosing a suitable person for the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline and rewarded me with two new techniques."

Ling Yuan's eyes lit up. Bai Xue also perked up with curiosity. She remembered — the Blue Silver Emperor was a reward from this mysterious master… then if these techniques were also from the young master, they must be good. No, great.

"Wait… can you share it with me too?" Ling Yuan asked eagerly.

Li Shen smiled faintly. "It was meant for Bai Xue, but there's no harm in you using it as well, Sister Yuan."

"What's your spirit ring skill?" he asked.

Bai Xue handed the two technique books back to him carefully.

"Young master, can you hold onto these for me? I… I don't have a storage-type soul guide yet," she said, a bit embarrassed.

Li Shen took them without hesitation. "It's alright. You can ask for them from me anytime."

"Thank you," she said softly, her eyes filled with gratitude.
