Uma Musume: Mirror Team

Mama Blues POV:

Recently, since we arrived, I was assigned the Vice Captain of our little group of 15. They liked my patience and kindness, which I had honed dealing with my own kids. I was a mother of 5 before coming here, all my kids reaching adulthood, some better off than others. Now I have 14 new ones to care for, I got to know all of them, it seems only I, Norn Valkyrie, Great Wonder, and Sweet Pollen were women before this, and Wonder being a mom as well. It seems almost everyone kept the same attraction to the same gender, with the once who were originally girls staying straight, except Norn Valkyrie and Sweet Pollen who were both already bisexual, and all the former guys becoming straight to lesbians except for Tactical Gray and Black Diamond who are Bisexual and Steel Valkyrie who is a transgendered gay man who now became the woman he always wanted to transition into who is now straight because of the transformation, which when finding out shocked everyone, but we accepted her and anyone who had a problem with that well they dealt with me.

Everyone was also a runner, like me, before retiring from the sport from old age. I even ran when I had kids, and I missed daily. I used to be a sprinter in track and dabbled in free running as well, and I was good. I broke many speed records, being addicted to breaking them, and not only the women's record, but the men's records as well. I wanted to be the fastest period, not the fastest woman, the fastest. I failed, but now you're telling me I'm in a body where being the fastest is a possibility because I'm now a race called Uma Musume, but also I have my youth back, and I'm allowed to chase it once again, how could I not be ecstatic? 

I wanted to, no I couldn't wait to compete again, and this time all the speed records in this world will be mine. We began to search for a way for that to happen, as everyone had wanted to run again. I was working with Victory Gate or Vic as Team Captain, Tactical Gray or Gray as Team Strategist, Tyrant Rose or Rose as Team Negotiator, and Great Wonder or GW as Assistant Officer. Gray went to research what we can do as a group in the future, while we all did our best to help the group, and now it seems he has found it.

Vic soon called a meeting with us arriving first with Gray, who was carrying a lot of paperwork and setting up a whiteboard he got from King Wild or KiWi for short. Soon, everyone started coming in, the first group, which had just come from showering after working out. There was Imperial Punk or ImP for short, High Slice or Spice for short, Edged Lily or Lily for short, Steel Valkyrie or Steel for short, and Enduring Rain or Rain for short. Then came the group who decided to rest and explore the city today, coming in carrying bags of stuff we told them to get. First came KiWi rushing in full speed, then Norn Viking or Norn for short, then Endless Journey or Jo for short, then Black Diamond or BlaD for short, and finally Sweet Pollen or Sweets for short.

"Hey Mama, what's this meeting about," Kiwi yelled out as soon as everyone sat down? Yes, that's what everyone called me; it was the short version of my name, Mama Blues. I then told everyone," It seems that Gray has finally found what we've all been looking for, and meets all the requirements." "Wait, Seriously!" ImP asked excitedly, surprised by the news. I nodded in confirmation, making everyone in the room excited. 

Gray began his explanation, since I had already looked over everything, I barely listened and began watching everyone's expressions. I wanted to see if anyone was just agreeing because of group mentality and is actually against it, or if anyone is unsure about anything. I'm a caretaker by heart after all, and I've been put in charge of 14 new kids, whom, after getting to know and hanging out with, I began to start caring about. I was looking around and saw everyone was excited from what they're hearing and asking questions to Gray if they were confused about anything, or just random ones for fun. That's when I saw our leader, Vic, showing signs of an anxiety attack and not paying attention to anything at all. 

I already knew what was happening in the presentation, and when we put it to a vote, I voted yes to doing it, and saw everyone agreed, except for Vic, who was out of it, and had to be asked again if he agreed to it or not. She snapped out of her trance and agreed that if everyone did, I needed to speak with her. Once we all dispersed, after being assigned by Gray what we're going to do, I chased after Vic with the paperwork I still had in my hands. I then saw she was having another anxiety attack, and I put my hand on her to snap her out of it. She turned around, and I told her calmly," Vic, I know something's wrong with you, let's go talk somewhere private."

We walked into the hotel's never-used gym, which everyone knew was complete garbage. I then asked her gently," Vic, are you okay, I saw you having 2 mini anxiety attacks in there while pretending to have heard the entire conversation you were too in your head to have heard." That's when I saw she was about to have another anxiety attack, and I pulled her into my bosom. "It's okay Vic, I'm here, so tell Mama what's wrong," I gently told her as I caressed her. She then broke down, telling me her worries about being good at leadership, keeping respect from others, and having no one to rely on anymore for help.

I then stood her up and slapped her across the face. That's when I scolded her saying," Fool, who do you think we are? You're a great leader who's always keeping us in line and managing the team greatly, and if you need any help, you can always rely on us. Finally, respect, we see how hard you work, and how much you do for us while caring about everyone, you being replaced by anyone else is an unacceptable reality. We respect everything you've ever done to the point that if anyone disrespects you within or outside this team, they deal with me and the rest of us."

She then began to cry as I held her in my bosom again, saying," Now let's get you familiarized with what you missed while you were lost in that head of yours." "Yes," she responded while still sobbing.
