Chapter 348
Chapter 348: Lin Muxia’s Intuition
Sun Yang also downed his drink, a faint smile on his face. He discreetly distanced himself from the woman, knowing that his target tonight wasn’t her.
If Lin Muxia saw this, she might label him a playboy, which would be counterproductive. Besides, he had seen and played with many such women, and he was already tired of them.
Only a woman like Lin Muxia, with her perfect figure, aura, and appearance, could pique his interest.
The woman, seeing Sun Yang subtly keeping his distance, felt a slight panic. As an ordinary person, she rarely had the chance to interact with someone like Sun Yang. If she couldn’t capture his attention tonight, who knew when the next opportunity would come?
Gritting her teeth, she tried to move closer to Sun Yang again. However, just as she made a move, a burly man standing behind Sun Yang stopped her.
He gave her a warning look, as if to say that if she took another step, he wouldn’t be polite. The man, dressed in black with sunglasses and a serious expression, exuded an intimidating aura.
Standing at over 1.9 meters tall, he looked anything but friendly.
The woman, now frightened, shifted slightly and didn’t dare make any more excessive moves.
After a few rounds of drinks, Sun Yang, under the pretense of getting to know everyone better, moved to sit across from Lin Muxia.
“Lin Muxia, why aren’t you singing with the others?” Sun Yang asked, smiling warmly, showing no signs of the arrogance typical of a wealthy second-generation.
Based on Lin Muxia’s attire today, he also realized that her family background might not be as simple as he thought.
Although she wasn’t wearing any international brands, her outfit probably cost several thousand yuan at least.
If she came from a truly ordinary family, they wouldn’t be able to afford such clothes. She must be at least middle-class.
“I’m not in the mood and I don’t like singing,” Lin Muxia replied, glancing at Sun Yang and shaking her head.
With a woman’s intuition, she felt that this man had ulterior motives. After all, this wasn’t her first time in such a situation. Back in high school, someone had tried to take advantage of her in a similar setting.
If she hadn’t been smart and cautious, she wouldn’t still be a virgin. Moreover, this guy hadn’t approached any other female classmate but went straight to her for a drink. If he wasn’t after her, she wouldn’t believe it.
Who knew if Sun Yang’s current refined demeanor was genuine? She didn’t know him, after all.
“Have you been troubled by something recently?” Sun Yang asked, still smiling.
“Maybe I can help you, whether it’s something emotional or trivial.” He took another sip of his beer.
He could tell that this woman had a strong sense of caution, so he wasn’t in a hurry. He planned to chat with Lin Muxia for a bit to gain her trust.
Moreover, his question was cleverly worded. It would also help him find out if she had a boyfriend. After all, he hadn’t interacted with Lin Muxia for long and didn’t know much about her.
“Thank you for your concern, but I’m not troubled by anything,” Lin Muxia said, smiling slightly and making up an excuse. “It’s just that I’m on my period and not in a good mood.”
“No wonder you haven’t been eating or drinking. It’s because of that,” Sun Yang said, suddenly understanding.
He had been puzzled about why Lin Muxia wasn’t eating or drinking, but now it made sense.
“Waiter,” Sun Yang called out towards the door.
Soon, a young man in a tie walked in.
“Yes, Mr. Sun? How can I help you?” The waiter, recognizing Sun Yang as a black-gold VIP, spoke respectfully.
“Bring some room-temperature Beibingyang and some red dates,” Sun Yang ordered.
“Yes, sir,” the waiter replied, bowing and leaving.
“Miss Lin, I need to use the restroom. Excuse me,” Sun Yang said, standing up.
Lin Muxia nodded, not giving it much thought.

Wherever this guy goes had nothing to do with her, and his temporary absence would give her some peace and quiet.
