After looking at where the Nine Desolation Seed was planted for a bit, Lin Fan decided that there was no point in starting it any longer.

It wasn't as if he would be able to find the answer that he wanted from staring at this seed any longer.

These were the puppets that Greeny controlled that he had been planning on using to scout out the surrounding area.

The problem with using these puppets in this place was the death energy that seemed to be naturally flowing in the ground. The concentration of death energy wasn't that high, but it was high enough that the weak puppets that Greeny used weren't able to survive in this place.

They could only last a few minutes before being worn down by the death energy that naturally lingered in this place. So they weren't able to get far before they were forced back to where Lin Fan was.

He just wasn't able to use the puppets to scout out this place at all like this.

Or at least not the weaker ones.

The ones that were suited for scouting out the area couldn't move far in this place since they didn't have the resistance to the death energy. But there were still some puppets that did have resistance to the death energy.

There were some stronger puppets that could still survey the area.

However, that meant that Lin Fan's area of movement was limited since he wasn't able to use as many puppets to scout out the area.

It was far from being enough to scout out this entire place under Death Valley.

It meant that he would have to choose his targets carefully to find what he was looking for.

After thinking about it, Lin Fan headed off in a certain direction.

The idea that he came up with could be considered a risk, but it was a risk that was worth taking since it would give him the highest chance of obtaining the information that he wanted.

At the same time, there might be something else beneficial to him.

Even the trees in this place were able to release death intent, so if he were to encounter something stronger…

That was why he wanted to see if he could grow the Nine Desolation Tree.

The place that he was heading to was one of the buildings that he saw when he came down from the hole.

This place was a place that only had forest and buildings, so there was only so much that he could explore.

At first, Lin Fan had wanted to avoid the buildings since there was no telling what would be there. But based on how things were arranged, one would assume that the most dangerous things would be inside of those buildings.

It was also the reason why Lin Fan had wanted to avoid those buildings in the first place.

But now that he had a way to deal with the death intent that was here, it was worth taking a risk.

Lin Fan didn't believe that he wouldn't be able to find a way to escape the building if it came to that.

So that was why Lin Fan decided to head towards that building that he saw.

Even before he arrived at the building, he learned something about that place through the puppets.

The death energy that was in this place was far stronger than the death energy anywhere else.

This was something that was expected, but he couldn't help being a bit surprised by just how strong the death energy was. After all, it was so strong that even the puppets couldn't approach the building without being affected.

And this was just the death energy that was leaking out of the building.

This wasn't even the death energy that should have been inside of the building.

It was hard to imagine just how strong the concentration of death energy in the building was if this was what leaked out. It might even be strong enough that Lin Fan wouldn't be able to enter that place.

If that was the case, what would he do?

With this thought in his mind, Lin Fan approached the building and stood there outside looking at it.

Just at this distance, he could feel how strong the death energy leaking out of the building was.

It was bearable for him, but it seemed like it might not be possible for him to resist the death energy that was inside of the building with how concentrated it seemed.

Did he have to give up on going into the building?

Lin Fan couldn't help furrowing his brows as he looked at the building.

There were ways for him to do this, but to use those ways now meant that he would be using up his trump cards. He wanted to save his trump cards just in case something else happened here, he didn't want to use them right away.

As Lin Fan was thinking, there was a glow that suddenly appeared in his eyes.

It was as if he suddenly thought of something.

Lin Fan slowly raised his fist as if he was considering something before suddenly punching out with his hand.

When he did, there was this spatial distortion that appeared in front of him.

This wasn't the surprising thing since Lin Fan had long possessed the power to do this. The surprising thing was that the moment that he created this spatial distortion, the death energy that was coming from inside of the building was being absorbed.

He had only done it on a whim, but he never thought that it would actually work like this.

He thought that the suction force wouldn't be strong enough to absorb this death energy, but that didn't seem to be the case.

The only difference compared to before was that the suction force didn't last as long as before.

Before, the suction force remained even after absorbing all of the death intent released by the trees. With the way that it was sucking before, it was as if it was voraciously looking for more energy to absorb.

This time, it seemed that it had absorbed enough energy and it had been satisfied by the energy that it had been provided with.

Lin Fan was even more certain that this was the case as he could feel the death energy that was inside of his dantian. This death energy was much greater than the death energy that he had absorbed previously from the death intent of the trees.

Only it didn't seem like it made a dent on the death energy that was coming out of the building.

Instead of releasing another punch, Lin Fan actually took a few steps back so that he was hidden by the forest that was near the building.

He was carefully looking at the building, as if he was waiting for something to happen.

After a minute of nothing happening, it seemed like Lin Fan recognized that it was safe and he moved forward again towards the building. However, he still didn't go all the way over to the building and raised his fist to punch out again.

He released several punches this time, creating several spatial distortions.

These punches created suction forces that started absorbing all of the death energy that came from the building in front of him.

It didn't take long before they were satisfied just like the first punch, but this time…

Lin Fan could tell that there was a slight decrease in the amount of death energy that was being released from the building in front of him.

It seemed that he had finally made a dent in the death energy that was gathered inside of the building.

But Lin Fan didn't use the same suction force as he moved behind the trees again as if he was waiting for something.

It was only when nothing came that he started going full force at the building.

In no time at all, Lin Fan had weakened the death energy coming from the building to an extent that not only him, but even the puppets could endure.

That was when he sent the puppets into the building.
