Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 11 The Immortal's Heritage

Boom!

Scarlet flames surged toward Bai like a tidal wave.

After the transformation, the man in brocade could mobilize the free elements of heaven and earth with every gesture. These elements, under his command, were like his third hand, changing at his will.

Facing the sea of fire, Bai remained calm.

The next moment, the fire was upon him.

An invisible barrier suddenly appeared in front of Bai, splitting the fire into two like a reef.

The man in brocade acted again, this time summoning the wind elements in the air, forming countless wind blades that surrounded Bai.

But it was still in vain.

"Even such an idiot can become a pure energy being?"

Richard's mockery echoed in Bai's ears, yet the invisible barrier around him was not Richard's work. This barrier was merely a crude energy vortex Bai created by relying on the innate control over energy of a Third Level being, enhanced by the Qi Men Array.

This vortex was quite effective against mass attacks like sea of fire and wind blades. But breaking this barrier was also quite simple.

All it took was a concentrated attack strong enough.

If Richard had replaced the man in brocade with equal strength, Bai would have already turned to ashes by now.

Bai ignored Richard's sarcasm and instead quietly calmed his mind, sensing the state of his body.

Under the enhancement of the Qi Men Array, Bai's energy could be said to be virtually limitless. Moreover, by manipulating the ancient seals on the array flags, Bai could use some of the means preset by Richard. For example...

"Cloud Summoning."

Bai waved his hand, and the next moment, dense mist began to precipitate in the air. This mist spread from Bai, expanding like a flood. In just a moment, more than half of Lu Family Mountain City was shrouded in mist.

Faced with this sudden fog, the man in brocade immediately sensed danger.

Even with his Immortal Body, he couldn't achieve such a feat.

"The Quan family can't have such Dao Techniques, it seems someone else is eyeing the Quan family's brat."

Thoughts racing, the man in brocade quickly made a decision.

"Quick battle, the longer it drags, the more dangerous it becomes."

With that, he gritted his teeth and pulled a small silver sword from his sleeve. The small sword was engraved with intricate patterns, looking like a piece of art. But as soon as it appeared, the mist around the man in brocade was shredded like a meat grinder.

And as the Summoner of the mist, Bai could clearly see the man's every move.

"Dao Artifact?"

Cautiously, Bai waved his hand, and with a "boom", a Heavenly Thunder descended from the sky, striking straight toward the man in brocade.

But just as the thunder was about to reach him, the silver sword suddenly moved, and a sharp sword Qi flew out from the blade, dispersing the thunder in midair.

After dispersing the thunder, the small sword rapidly expanded, gradually elongating to the length of an adult's arm.

The man in brocade formed a hand seal, and the silver sword darted into the mist like a swimming fish, heading straight for Bai.

"It can actually ignore the mist's effects?"

Bai was slightly surprised. According to Richard, this mist should limit even top experts to sensing only within a meter around them. Yet this Dao Artifact seemed to have sniffed out Bai's position, heading directly for him without detours.

Clang!

Bai raised his blade to block, but the tremendous power behind the flying sword forced Bai to retreat three steps. The scattered sword Qi left several deep wounds on his body, revealing the bone.

Though the flying sword was merely deflected. In Bai's observation, the sword spun in the air and returned to a controllable state.

"Oh? A nifty little thing."

Richard noticed Bai's situation. To Bai, the flying sword was a mysterious Dao Artifact, but to Richard, it was merely an Immortal's Magic Equipment.

"Don't block the next sword; I'll open a Space Rift to bring it to me."

Before Richard's words had even finished, the flying sword emerged from the mist, heading straight for Bai's heart. Bai instinctively wanted to block, but Richard's command froze him in place.

"Don't move."

The next moment, a pitch-black Space Rift appeared at Bai's chest, swallowing the flying sword whole like a giant mouth.

On the other side of the Space Rift, as soon as the sword entered the laboratory, Richard caught it between his fingers. As the Space Rift closed, the sword seemed to lose its power source, instantly stopping its tremble.

Almost simultaneously, the Miracle Furnace provided information.

[Material: Immortal Country Flying Sword]

[Extractable Information: Flying Sword Design]

[Extraction Consumption: 5 spiritual power]

[Extractable Technique: Immortal Village Refining Technique (moderately incomplete)]

[Extraction Consumption: 10 spiritual power]

Seeing the information from the Miracle Furnace, Richard paused slightly, then became overjoyed.

After becoming a Great Wizard, the quality of his spiritual power had increased tenfold, correspondingly reducing the numerical cost of extracting items to one-tenth of the original.

Converting this number into Three Rings Wizard, that's fifty spiritual power and one hundred spiritual power.

"Refine."

With the decision made, the flying sword disappeared from Richard's hand for a moment. When it reappeared, Richard had already started receiving the design blueprints and methods for crafting this flying sword.

After a long time, Richard opened his eyes, his tone full of admiration.

"The world is truly full of wonders, yet another technique completely different from Alchemy."

The Immortal Village Refining Technique seems like a very simple technique, and creating a Dao Artifact with this technique only requires three steps. First, refining the rough blanks of the Dao Artifact, then inscribing it with "Daoist Text," and lastly nurturing it with innate pure qi from the Immortal Body.

But although these three steps sound simple, each step possesses almost terrifying depth.

Refining the rough blanks of the Dao Artifact requires alloy technology, as well as a more mystical Spirit Melt Technology. The former is not much different from the Wizard's alloy technology, but the latter is as incredible as Alchemy.

Utilizing Spirit Melt Technology, Immortals can fuse materials of different compositions together, thereby creating some extraordinary materials.

For instance, making this flying sword requires merging Mithril with a type of demonized plant, a branch that Immortals call spirit wood. Once fused, the branch simultaneously possesses Mithril's magic conduction properties and the lightness of spirit wood.

Even within Alchemy, this technique is an absolute overscale existence.

And this is just the simplest step of refining rough blanks.

After refining rough blanks, it's time to inscribe "Daoist Text." Daoist Text is the Immortal's runes, its structure equivalent to directly merging runes with a Magic Array. It seems more complex but also more compact, very suitable for making small items. At first glance, it doesn't seem like a big deal. But what if these Daoist Texts can connect rules?

Immortals refer to rules as Dao, and Daoist Texts are the writings that describe Dao. Apart from simple runes that describe the appearance of rules, Daoist Texts also contain the essence-describing Daoist Texts.

This Daoist Text is different from the runes transmuted from rule fragments by Wizards; merely writing it enables the object to directly possess rule capabilities.

This is another overscale technique.

Lastly, there is innate pure qi nurture, which seems somewhat inferior compared to the previous two. This technique utilizes a special energy unique to Immortals, modifying the properties of the object.

A sturdy item becomes more durable after nurturing, a sharp item becomes sharper.

Though simple in effect, this technique remains useful throughout all stages. Whether for mortals or World Masters, this technique finds application.

Honestly, after studying the Immortal Refining Technique, Richard suddenly felt that attacking the Immortal Country was not a good idea.

Even if these powerful Immortals are likened to stray dogs, to Richard they would be as savage wolves.

Richard muttered to himself: "Preparation for summoning allies must be made. The Immortal Village Refining Technique is so advanced, the Alchemy Crown is bound to be very interested. No matter how strong this Immortal's foundation is, unless he hides a Star Realm Master in the Immortal Country, the Crown's descent will be absolutely sufficient."

But despite these words, unless absolutely necessary, Richard does not want to involve the Truth Wizard.

People are greedy, and if the Crown is summoned, he'd at most get a taste of soup from the Immortal Country. So if he can resolve it himself, it's best to do so.

Setting aside the Dao Artifact matter for now, Richard begins to continue crafting the cage.

Dao Artifacts may be good, but he also wants that transformative being.

...

The thunder-infused blade directly cleaves the ice spear, sharp Sword Qi slicing through the mist like a knife.

White holds the long blade, walking toward the man in brocade like taking a stroll.

After losing the silver flying sword, the man in brocade posed no threat to White anymore. The flames capable of melting gold and refining iron had no effect on White, nor could the sharp wind blade storm penetrate his energy vortex.

Ice spear, stone spur, freezing wind, burning wind... All sorts of Dao Techniques that could slaughter ordinary Samurai a hundred times over, were utterly useless against White.

The blood-colored long blade wrapped in thunder could cut through any attack or obstacle, and the energy vortex surrounding White was an insurmountable barrier.

"Impossible, how can it be!"

The man in brocade backed away, somewhat panicked. He couldn't understand why White, a mere ordinary warrior lacking an Immortal Body, could be so strong.

The Dao Technique that summoned mist, the impenetrable Heavenly Gang Qi Shield, the Heavenly Thunder he controlled, and the strange rift that swallowed his flying sword.

He had never heard of any of these Dao Techniques.

Could it be that the Peng Family has taken a liking to that kid?

As one of the Immortal Village Envoys, it's reasonable for the Peng Family to possess so many Dao Techniques. But if the Peng Family liked that kid, why wouldn't they take him away?

The man in brocade was in a mental jumble, sharply sensing that this situation surely hid some conspiracy. They were unaware only because they were blinded by the status of Immortal Village Envoys.

Suddenly, the man in brocade noticed something strange in White's hand.

That rift which swallowed his flying sword appeared again, but this time, the rift grew larger and spat out something resembling a cage.

The cage was entirely silver-white, inscribed with countless tiny runes.

"A cage? Dao Artifact!"

Instantly understanding White's intent, the man in brocade realized but it was too late.

A light net was expelled from White's hand, attempting to use Teleportation to dodge, but found that the surrounding space seemed solidified, unable to move regardless of how he manipulated the talismans.

The light net surged over him, delaying the man in brocade for a moment.

But that moment was enough.

The next instant, White's figure appeared beside the man in brocade, placing the trapped "prey" into the cage.
