Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 12: Rebellion Alliance

"What is this thing?"

On the Moonwatch Tower, the Young Master looked at the cage in Bai's hand and asked curiously.

Inside the cage, the person in fine clothes who had just appeared as majestic as an immortal descending to the mortal world was now crammed into the cage like putty, so much so that the Young Master couldn't even tell it was a person.

"This is a thief. The Evil Ghost needs him, so I captured him."

Bai placed the cage on the ground and immediately started communicating with Richard.

"Evil Ghost, I remember you said your rift can't transmit living beings."

"That's true, so I'm working on a solution."

In the lab, Richard was pondering over a draft paper.

Due to the World Barrier, his current Space Rift couldn't transmit this Third Level creature. So now he must create a Sealing Magic Equipment to completely seal the creature.

Only in this way could he deceive the World Barrier.

"Ah, truly regret having little knowledge when needed."

Richard, looking at the draft paper on the experiment table, complained with a headache.

He had little knowledge in sealing skills; the only two he knew came from a Magic Book and the Self-Sealing Technique of a Physique Crown Throne. Although he had optimized the Magic Chain Sealing Technique later on, it was also learned by observing the completed seal of the Great Wizard Clear Frost.

His own achievements in sealing skills were actually minimal.

"Speaking of which, if sealing skills don't work, invading the world would be a problem."

A World Lord Level creature must seal itself to pass through the World Barrier, reducing its strength from a Fourth Level to a Third Level creature. Otherwise, the World Barrier would react, making the entire process of crossing it extremely dangerous.

"Luckily, there's still nearly five years; I can only hastily study it."

Richard rubbed his temples with some helplessness; other Great Wizards study for hundreds of years after becoming a Great Wizard, getting acquainted with their power and preparing to establish an Academy. But in his case, time was a bit tight.

War waits for no one, and currently, the Wizards aren't at a significant disadvantage. The risk of falling for World Master-level creatures on the frontline is actually low.

But if he returns too late, the battlefield situation may not be as it is now.

Richard hadn't responded for a long time, so Bai had to find a quiet place to place the cage.

At that moment, the mist he summoned was about to dissipate, and while the mist enveloped, the Lu family's Samurai squad, taking advantage of familiar terrain and the assistance of a Dao Artifact, had nearly wiped out all the invading thieves.

The fire was extinguished by the Lu family's Daoist using Dao techniques; this raid was nearing its end.

Da-da-da...

The sound of footsteps came from the wooden stairs, and soon after, Miss Zhen, carrying a medical kit, appeared in front of Bai and the Young Master.

"Miss Zhen, how is it outside?" the Young Master asked anxiously.

Miss Zhen smiled slightly, her tone as gentle as usual.

"The invading thieves have almost been cleaned up, and several clan elders who colluded with outsiders were also beheaded by the Family Head himself. You're safe now, Young Master."

Upon hearing this, the Young Master felt slightly relieved.

As long as the Lu family is unharmed.

"Then you came here to..."

Miss Zhen's gaze passed over the Young Master and looked at Bai, who was calm behind him.

"I originally intended to heal Lord Bai, given the thief was fierce, and among them seemed to be some immortal clan disciples who had cultivated an Immortal Body.

But now it seems I overthought it."

Miss Zhen's gaze lingered on Bai's chest for a moment; although Bai had pulled out the Array Flag, he hadn't changed the clothes with the broken flag handle. And Bai wasn't usually very messy in battle, so the tear on his chest naturally stood out vividly.

Suddenly, a roar not quite human sounded from the side room.

Miss Zhen's expression changed slightly; she turned and drew her sword in one swift motion, and the sharp sword light even made Bai squint a little to avoid its edge.

At the same time, Bai felt his Shura around his waist tremble suddenly.

"Miss Zhen, no need to worry," the Young Master explained with a smile. "A thief Bai captured is inside. I suppose the thief has awakened."

"A thief?"

Miss Zhen sheathed the Karmic Fire, bending slightly to the Young Master to show her apologetic manners.

"Yes, a thief. Would you like to see it, Miss Zhen?"

Miss Zhen gently shook her head. "What do you want the thief for?"

The Young Master's expression slightly stiffened, and his gaze dimmed.

"The family was obliterated; I must know who the enemy is."

Hearing this, a trace of sympathy appeared on Miss Zhen's face as she gently touched the Young Master's head.

"You don't need to do this; if you want to know who the thief behind this is, just ask the Family Head. The Family Head bears you no ill will."

But even so, Miss Zhen herself knew that the Lu family had not taken in the Young Master of the Quan family solely because he was an ally's child.

The Young Master of the Quan family had awakened a very remarkable bloodline, and if this bloodline could remain in the Lu family, it would be greatly beneficial for the Lu family in the future.

```
After comforting the Young Master, Miss Zhen looked at Bai, who was staring at her from behind the Young Master.
"Lord Bai, is there anything you need?"
"I wanted to ask if the knife in your hand is called Karmic Fire."
Miss Zhen nodded slightly: "Indeed."
Upon receiving confirmation, Bai continued, "The knife in my hand is named Shura. I suppose Miss Zhen has heard of this name. The previous owner of this knife told me that its sister was taken away by his junior sister.
And he instructed me to spare the life of anyone I encounter using Karmic Fire in the future."
Miss Zhen calmly responded after hearing this, "It seems Master has been quite considerate. May I ask how Master has been recently?"
"He appears to be in good health. After saving me, he left his medical clinic in Chengshan."
"Then what do you want to ask?"
Bai drew Shura out, its blood-red blade shimmering with a sinister red glint.
"Ordinary people wouldn't give such precious knife to an injured person picked up from the roadside. I think there's something hidden behind this."
Miss Zhen shook her head slightly, "I haven't seen Master for a long time. I don't know what he is scheming."
"I'm just making an investment."
Before Miss Zhen finished speaking, an elderly voice sounded behind her. Her expression slightly changed, her right hand instinctively pressing on the knife hilt. But before she could draw her knife, a mist-like figure passed through her, appearing in front of the Young Master of the Quan family.
Buzz!
The blood-colored blade pressed against the intruder's neck, a golden thunder circling the blade to ensure that even if this person wasn't corporeal, they would still be hurt by the blade.
"We haven't seen each other for just two months, and already drawn swords?"
The intruder looked at the knife-wielding Bai, his aged face was that of the old werewolf who had taken Bai back to the medical clinic.
Bai said expressionlessly: "I am the Young Master's guard. Kindness and morality are worthless before the Young Master's safety."
The Young Master, seeing this scene, immediately hid behind Bai. Although he didn't know who this suddenly appeared old man was, undoubtedly Bai could be trusted.
"Put down the knife, I have no interest in your Young Master. In fact, I'm much more interested in you."
The old werewolf looked at the array flag inserted in Bai's chest and interestingly asked: "Is this also the power that Evil Ghost gave you?"
"Master, do you have anything to say to me?"
The sound of a long knife being drawn came from behind the old werewolf, Miss Zhen gripped her knife with both hands, a layer of sinister blood fire flickering unsteadily on the blade.
"It's not a good habit to point a knife at your master." The old werewolf calmly turned, "Is my junior sister still alive?"
"Thanks to you, Master is still alive."
The old werewolf was slightly startled. Clearly, this answer was beyond his expectation.
"It seems she has made significant progress in medical skills. Put the knife away, I have already spoken with the Lu Family Head."
Saying this, the old werewolf waved his hand, and the sinister blood fire on the Karmic Fire disappeared without a trace.
"Let me introduce myself, I am Dao name Xuan Qing. You may not know my identity, but that Young Master behind you should know."
The Young Master's surprised voice came from behind Bai: "Daoist Xuan Qing? Aren't you already dead?"
Daoist Xuan Qing laughed slightly: "Almost died, otherwise I wouldn't have been quiet for so many years."
"Since you're not dead, isn't the Rebellion Alliance still around!?"
Daoist Xuan Qing did not answer, instead looking around and locking his gaze on the room where Bai had placed the brocade-clothed person.
"Being able to imprison an Immortal's offspring proves the Evil Ghost behind you indeed comes from beyond the stars."
Bai watched Daoist Xuan Qing vigilantly: "What do you want to do?"
"Nothing much. Just wanted to ascertain your status and incidentally talk to that Evil Ghost behind you."
"Talk?"
"Yes, talk. I suppose that Evil Ghost would be very interested in Immortals. Otherwise, he wouldn't go out of his way to give you things and capture an Immortal's offspring."
"What do you want to discuss?"
Daoist Xuan Qing looked at Bai, more accurately, at Bai's prosthetic eye.
"I want to make a deal, to slaughter the Mad Immortal who fell to the mortal realm."
In the laboratory, Richard listened to Daoist Xuan Qing's request, and a hint of disdainful sneer appeared on his lips.
"A small gain at a great risk, driving wolves to swallow tigers. Schemers always think others are fools. Boy, let him offer a price, and let your Young Master introduce what this Rebellion Alliance is."
Richard's voice sounded in Bai's ear. Bai, while staring at Daoist Xuan Qing, quietly asked the Young Master: "Young Master, what is the Rebellion Alliance?"
The Young Master whispered in reply, "The Rebellion Alliance is a society formed by a bunch of lunatics. And the ultimate goal of this society is to kill the true Immortal in Immortal Country. For this goal, the Rebellion Alliance is willing to go to any lengths. However..."
Miss Zhen stepped past Daoist Xuan Qing, came to Bai's side, and continued the Young Master's words: "Thirty years ago, the Seven Immortal Villages Envoys launched a crusade against the rebels, slaughtering most of the Rebellion Alliance's followers, and the leader of the society, Great Rebel Slayer Immortal, also died in this battle."
"And this Master of mine is the current Society Leader of the Rebellion Alliance."
