Yaxoc's Adventure: Act 9

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The Strongest Hunter Of Today

As the squad strolled in, the air tense but calm, a swarm of hunters rushed toward them, weapons drawn.

"Oh great, another raid?" Yaxoc sighed, cracking his knuckles before dropping into a fighting stance.

"This'll be fun," Yaxocara murmured, a sly grin forming as she gripped her sword. Beside her, Calamito and Hannah readied themselves.

The hunters charged.

Yaxoc was the first to engage, dashing through them like a blur, striking with blinding speed. Each hunter crumbled under his relentless assault. Yaxocara weaved through the chaos, her sword slicing effortlessly through their ranks. Hannah and Calamito fought side by side, their attacks perfectly synchronized.

"Pretty skilled for someone with just telekinesis," Calamito noted as they impaled a group of hunters with dark blood spears.

Hannah smirked. "Oh, I can do way more than that."

With a mere flick of her fingers, massive chunks of rock rose from the battlefield. She sent them hurtling toward the enemy, obliterating hundreds of hunters in an instant.

"Whoa!" Calamito's eyes widened. "You just wiped out 500 of them—with rocks!?"

Grinning, Calamito finished off the remaining hunters with a flurry of bloody strikes before forming a crimson dagger, draining the last one's blood.

"Ahhh, much better." They sighed in relief.

Before they could celebrate, two figures emerged from the distance—Karie and Urioh.

Yaxoc's eyes narrowed. "You again?!" he barked, immediately stepping forward.

Karie smirked, eyeing him. "Ah, it's great to see you too. Looks like you ditched that crappy sword." Then her gaze shifted. "And I assume she's your twin sister?"

"Twin sister!?" Yaxocara recoiled. "HELL NO! We're not even blood-related!"

Calamito raised an eyebrow. "Actually, your blood is very similar to Yaxoc's."

"Yeah?" Yaxocara growled. "Well, I'm from another universe, you piece of SHIT!"

Before the argument could escalate, Karie ended it with a single devastating slash from her scythe. The sheer force of her attack split the entire building in half.

"Enough talk," she said, resting her scythe on her shoulder. "Let's fight."

Urioh, however, stepped in. "Karie, we're switching targets." His voice was firm as he turned toward Yaxoc and Yaxocara. "I'll handle these two. You take the girl and the creature."

Karie smirked. "Fine by me."

In an instant, she lunged at Hannah and Calamito, slicing through them with brutal precision. Hannah narrowly dodged, but Calamito was cut clean in half—only for their severed body to regenerate, forming two identical clones.

"Big mistake!" Calamito roared, both clones attacking Karie from opposite angles.

But Karie moved like a shadow, effortlessly dodging every strike. She seized both of their heads and smashed them together before delivering a powerful kick that sent them flying.

Hannah capitalized on the opening, unleashing a flurry of telekinetic blows. Karie blocked each strike with her scythe, then swung forward. Hannah sidestepped and extended her hand.

"Telekinesis Magic: CRUSH!"

A massive invisible force slammed Karie into the ground, creating a crater beneath her.

Wasting no time, Hannah lifted every nearby rock with her telekinesis and sent them hurtling down.

But Karie only smirked. "Not so fast."

Her eyes gleamed as she sliced through every single rock, creating a chain explosion that shook the battlefield. The force sent Hannah crashing into a wall.

Before she could recover, Karie appeared before her, scythe poised to strike.

But Calamito intercepted, catching the weapon mid-swing with a blood-formed hand.

"Haha, gotcha." Calamito grinned. "You want this back? You'll have to take it from me."

Karie chuckled. "Oh? Challenge accepted."

She lunged, striking with incredible speed, but Calamito dodged each attack, using their own blood to form a massive hand that tried to crush her. Karie leapt high, dodging it effortlessly before stomping Calamito's head into the ground, reclaiming her scythe.

Calamito recovered, summoning deadly blood spikes from the earth, but Karie flipped into the air and slammed her scythe down, creating a shockwave that sent them skidding backward.

"Pathetic." Karie scoffed. She dashed forward, her scythe aimed to finish the job—

—only for Calamito to land a devastating punch to her face, sending her tumbling. Hannah followed up by launching her with telekinesis across the battlefield.

Meanwhile, on the other side—

Urioh charged at Yaxoc, but Yaxocara stepped in, their essences intertwining.

"Alright! Duality time!" Yaxocara roared.

Their fists clashed with Urioh's, sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

Yaxoc lunged in, aiming a powerful blow, but Urioh dodged with inhuman reflexes and struck both of them, sending them crashing through buildings.

"He's gotten stronger…" Yaxoc muttered, standing up, his golden aura flaring. "But I'm not backing down!"

He launched forward, unleashing a flurry of attacks. Urioh dodged with ease and countered with a gut kick, but Yaxoc teleported behind him, striking his back and sending him stumbling.

Yaxoc then teleported again, appearing above Urioh, and sledgehammered him into the ground.

Urioh grinned as he rose, his own essence flaring violently. "Now, let's get serious."

Yaxocara stepped up beside Yaxoc. "We need a plan," she muttered. "Restricted Chromatic Presence puts us at a disadvantage."

"Wait, what?" Yaxoc frowned. "You mean we can't damage this guy?"

"Not with raw strength alone," Yaxocara explained. "Rebooted Chromatic energy doesn't affect him. We need to hit him with something outside its influence." She lifted her sword. "This should work—unless it's made of rebooted chromatic shards."

Yaxoc smirked. "Alright, I'll blindside him with my flashes. You go for the kill."

"WAIT—" Yaxocara groaned. "Ugh! You're way too reckless!"

But Yaxoc had already launched himself at Urioh, bombarding him with attacks to keep him distracted.

Urioh countered with an elbow strike, but Yaxoc sidestepped, his aura glowing.

"ANGELIC FLASH!"

Yaxoc's fist collided with Urioh's ribs, sending him crashing through multiple buildings.

Yaxocara teleported behind Urioh, slashing him multiple times before chanting:

"DUALITY BLOW!"

A massive explosion erupted, sending Urioh skidding across the battlefield. He crashed against a massive tree, but still stood.

"They're strong…" Urioh admitted. His eyes flickered. "But Marcus… he's not here."

Yaxoc suddenly teleported behind him.

"ANGELIC FLASH!"

His blow landed clean, sending Urioh soaring through the air.

Yaxocara appeared above him, her sword poised.

"EAT THIS!" she roared, firing a massive energy blast straight at Urioh, sending him plummeting into the ground with a thunderous impact.

The battlefield fell silent.

Urioh stood up, his power surging.

"Damn it... not again," he muttered. "If I focus on strength, my defenses will weaken."

Yaxoc and Yaxocara watched him carefully, their eyes narrowing as they sensed the shift in his presence.

"Do you think he's about to make a move?" Yaxocara whispered.

"You tell me," Yaxoc replied, keeping his gaze locked on Urioh.

A smirk crept onto Urioh's face as he finally seized control of the essence. "Perfection."

A powerful aura exploded around him, sending Yaxoc and Yaxocara crashing into the wall.

"What the hell was that!?" Yaxoc groaned, adjusting his tin pot helmet.

"No idea! But I can feel it—he's stronger than before!" Yaxocara said, gritting her teeth.

"Then we take him down. No matter what it takes!" Yaxoc declared.

The aura faded, revealing Urioh standing there with a sinister smirk. "This restricted presence... it's overwhelming, don't you agree? That fool Yercop could never reach this level."

Yaxoc's eyes widened. "I've heard that myth before!"

"What myth?" Yaxocara asked.

"Yercop—the god who created the Rebooted Chromatic Shard and the Ruby to limit his own power. Legends say Yeoric users weren't just powerful—they were real mages, wielding magic beyond comprehension. They fought against Masoquest's slaughter, but even among them, Yercop was an exception, transcending the cosmos itself! Is Urioh seriously claiming to be stronger than them!?"

"Only one way to find out!" Yaxocara said, gripping her sword.

Urioh lunged, striking at Yaxoc with incredible speed, but Yaxoc dodged, countering with a leg kick. Urioh leaped, delivering a double kick, but Yaxoc blocked it and slammed him into the ground, disrupting his momentum.

"I GOT YOU NOW!" Yaxoc roared, unleashing a brutal beatdown, each strike more lethal than the last. The final blow sent Urioh crashing through multiple buildings.

Yaxocara teleported behind him, swinging her sword, but Urioh dodged and countered with a powerful kick. Yaxocara barely blocked in time, retaliating with a series of rapid slashes. Urioh weaved through them effortlessly, grabbing her sword mid-swing.

"Oh no, you don't!" she snarled, forcing the blade back. She landed a few clean hits, but Urioh blocked and slashed her arm, sending her crashing to the ground. She quickly healed herself with essence, eyes burning with determination.

"Damn you!" Yaxocara shouted. "You're not walking away from this!"

Urioh dashed forward, gripping her throat. "What was that? I couldn't hear you."

Yaxoc, seeing this, surged forward and drove a fist into Urioh's gut, forcing him to drop her.

"Yaxocara! You okay!?"

"Yeah! But he's even stronger now!"

"No kidding," Yaxoc said. "Forget him. Help Hannah and that blood freak with Karie—I'LL handle Urioh."

Yaxocara's eyes widened. "Are you insane!? He'll kill you!"

"I DON'T CARE!" Yaxoc shouted, his aura flaring. "I'M BUYING TIME SO YOU CAN FIGHT ANOTHER DAY! JUST GO!"

"YAXOC! DON'T DO THIS!"

Ignoring her plea, Yaxoc charged Urioh, landing a powerful punch that sent him flying.

"I'll take him somewhere else. You deal with Karie," Yaxoc said, flashing a smile. "And don't worry about me—I've got this freak handled."

With that, he teleported away, leaving Yaxocara kneeling in frustration.

"Damn you, Yaxoc..." she muttered before standing up and walking away, sword resting on her shoulder.

Meanwhile, Urioh crashed onto a desolate island, Yaxoc appearing before him.

Urioh stood, scanning the area. "No backup? I like that."

Yaxoc didn't respond. He only glared.

"You're gonna die here," Yaxoc said coldly, his aura crackling with energy.

Urioh smirked. "Lucky me."

He charged, fist crackling with dark energy, but Yaxoc caught it effortlessly. A shockwave erupted from the impact.

"That all you got?" Yaxoc taunted before delivering a lightning-fast kick, sending Urioh skidding across the ocean's surface.

"AGH!" Urioh groaned, leaping back—only for Yaxoc to appear midair, launching a brutal combo. Urioh barely blocked before countering, but Yaxoc retaliated with a devastating manji kick, sending him plummeting into a deep cave.

Before Urioh could react, a minecart—moving faster than light—slammed into him, launching him back to the surface and into the snowy mountains of Masoquest.

"Damn it... he sent me here?"

Yaxoc appeared behind him. "Did you pray today?"

Urioh spun, kicking at Yaxoc, but in an instant, Yaxoc was behind him again, fist glowing.

"ANGELIC FLASH 200%!"

The punch detonated on impact, blinding Urioh and sending him crashing through mountains before tumbling back to United Chronic, where he slammed into a wall.

Urioh wiped the blood from his nose. "This kid is strong..."

As Yaxoc teleported next to him, he attacked, but Urioh grabbed his leg and slammed him repeatedly into the ground before hurling him into a car. He charged like a bull, striking Yaxoc over and over, finishing with a brutal series of stabs before causing an explosion of blood.

Yaxoc lay motionless, coughing up blood. But then... he laughed weakly.

"You... are... an... idiot..."

Urioh froze. "What?"

"Look... behind you..."

A sword slashed clean through Urioh's neck.

Yaxocara appeared, catching her sword as Urioh's lifeless body hit the ground. She turned to Yaxoc, concern in her eyes.

"Damn... you look terrible. But I'm glad you're alive."

"Yeah... I know," Yaxoc coughed.

"You need medical help."

"For once... I won't argue."

He teleported away, leaving Yaxocara alone—until another presence arrived.

Brock.

"Another hunter?" she asked, gripping her sword.

Brock looked unimpressed. "So, you killed him, huh?"

"All thanks to that idiot." She spun her sword.

"Watch your mouth, kid." Brock smirked. "I'm the adult here."

"Says who? Children know better than you."

"Inaccurate. Statistically, kids have lower IQs. And since you're a child... you deserve punishment."

"That sounds freaky as hell..." Yaxocara muttered. "But whatever. I'll take you down."

Brock lunged, but she dodged effortlessly, countering with rapid strikes. He barely reacted as she pummeled him, finishing with a spinning kick that sent him airborne. She struck again, slamming him into the ground.

Brock smirked, pinning her with his boot. "Slow. And this gun—" he raised it "—will erase you."

Before he could fire, a red dagger pierced his chest.

"Hey, girl!" Calamito called. "You alright?"

"For the last time, we're NOT related!"

"No time for this! We need to leave!" Hannah shouted as they all ran back to base.
