Yu-Gi-Oh: Fusion Is the Noblest Summoning Method!

Chapter 390: Another Dimensional Journey

Three days later.

KaibaCorp's various stations had begun gradually restoring transportation.

Because of Jaden's special status, he was required to return to the starting station so that KaibaCorp could negotiate with the Lightsworn.

Of course, that was secondary.

The important part was that, thanks to Jaden and his team's performance this time, KaibaCorp planned to conduct a review and award them extra Star Stamps as a reward.

At the same time, another piece of good news came from KaibaCorp for Hikaru.

Due to his outstanding performance in the recent incident, KaibaCorp's headquarters sent him a message:

Seto Kaiba himself had approved that if Hikaru won the GX Tournament, he would be given a coordinate, one that might lead to the possibility of finding another dimensional Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

The news left Hikaru excited.

After all, in this world, aside from Seto Kaiba himself, there was almost no way to obtain a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. If he wanted to collect Fusion Monsters of the Blue-Eyes, Kaiba was the only source.

Besides Tyranno and Syrus, who would definitely stick with Jaden,Jim and Axel also decided to return to the starting station. Jim simply found following Jaden fun, while Axel planned to go back and rework his tournament strategy.

"Gwah,!"

Jaden's voice rang out in the train car.

"What is it, Jaden? Lost again?"

It had been three days, and Jaden still hadn't beaten the Supreme King. This shocked Jim.

In this world, dueling wasn't purely luck, there were patterns to follow. For Jaden to lose every single afternoon duel for three straight days meant the Supreme King was operating on a level far beyond Jaden's current self.

That said, how was that possible?

Jim had seen Jaden duel before, and honestly, he wasn't confident he could win against him every time.

And now someone was telling him there was another duelist with the same archetype who could consistently beat Jaden?

That was… incredible.

"Damn it… Bubbleman draws two, Pot of Greed draws two, then Fusion straight into Dark Fusion, and then Toxic Bubble draws two more, and after that Mirage of Nightmare and…" Jaden groaned, counting on his fingers as he replayed the duel for his friends.

Hearing those cards, Jim's jaw slowly dropped.

Other than Dark Fusion, which he didn't know well, he could more or less guess Toxic Bubble's effect just from the name, and the rest he recognized. If anyone got to draw that much against him in a duel, he'd be miserable too.

Hikaru listened with amusement.

This was probably the first time the "King of Topdecks" and master of incredible luck, Jaden Yuki, had met an opponent exactly like himself. Just as everyone envied Jaden's Bubbleman for drawing two on summon, all his other high-efficiency draw methods were absurd on their own, never mind banned cards like Mirage of Nightmare.

And the Supreme King wasn't just using the same HERO archetype,it sounded like he had even better HERO cards, Super Polymerization of this world, and luck that was equal to,or even greater than,Jaden's.

Without Super Polymerization, Jaden's power clearly couldn't match the Supreme King's, so being overwhelmed in a duel was only natural.

What surprised Hikaru, though…

After all these days, Jaden showed no signs of mental corruption.

As he listened, Hikaru pondered.

The mirror he'd made didn't have any protective function,it was purely a tool to let someone see into their own mind. Whether talking or dueling with himself, Jaden was doing it entirely through his own spirit's power.

Under those conditions, the fact that the Supreme King had beaten Jaden yet hadn't replaced his consciousness was astonishing.

Honestly, Hikaru had been ready to duel a suddenly awakened Supreme King himself.

Despite that, to his surprise, Jaden had shown no trace of corruption.

It seemed his understanding of "the Supreme King and Jaden" wasn't entirely accurate.

At least in this world, they definitely weren't just a simple past-life/reincarnation relationship.

Of course.

By now, Hikaru had long accepted that things could turn out differently.

Whether it was Professor Banner, Chancellor Kagemaru, Sartorius, or the Light of Destruction, many events in this world differed from the "original" due to multidimensional influence.

So what exactly Jaden's situation was might only be revealed by future developments.

Hikaru had already warned Jaden of the dangers and details, but since Jaden didn't mind, all he could do was keep recording the current state and decide later based on the results.

When they returned to the starting station, he would seek out General Jian. With his victory over Jian and the way he'd performed in their duel, Hikaru believed Jian would at least help shield Jaden from the less extreme Lightsworn challengers.

As for the ones more extreme than Jian, those fanatics beyond negotiation, even KaibaCorp wouldn't be able to intervene. Jaden would have to face them himself.

As for Hikaru, he finally had time to rest, and to embark on a long-awaited dimensional journey.

It had been a long time since Hikaru's last dimensional trip.

Only about two months, but in that time, he'd wasted several opportunities. Now, with free time and no need to worry about classmates or qualifying for the GX Tournament finals, he could travel properly.

First, though, he had to decide where to go.

Truth be told, Hikaru had quite a few coordinates on hand.

The first was for the Grand Spellbook Tower, extremely important to him personally. Visiting there could not only lead to more Invoked possibilities, but also to coordinates for two other "Three Sages' Emblem" dimensions. It was crucial for finding the Realm of the Spellcasters and the card-spirit form of Professor Banner.

The second was the Frightfur Sanctuary. Hikaru had wanted Frightfur Patchwork for a while now, and for someone lacking steady resource replenishment, that archetype was an excellent source of continuous resources.

The third…

Hikaru raised an eyebrow as he looked at his notes.

[DT Dimension].

Currently, among countless spirit dimensions, it was the most complete and vast Spirit World, practically a unique dimension separate from the standard Spirit World.

It housed countless archetypes and cards, including more Shaddoll cards and Gem-Knight cards, making it one of the most valuable dimensions for his current Deck.

It was also the one Tierra most wanted to visit.

In fact, since their duel with the Light of Destruction, when Tierra had willingly spent her hard-earned strength to help Hikaru fuse, his guard against her had lessened. If they were to travel, going to this long-desired dimension wasn't out of the question.

After all, cards like El Shaddoll Shekhinaga, El Shaddoll Anoyatyllis, or Infernoid Devyaty couldn't be obtained through normal means,he'd have to check the DT Dimension.

But there was a problem,

It was a dangerous dimension, not to be taken lightly.

Especially with Tierra traveling alongside him,it would be even riskier.

In the DT Dimension, Tierra's legend was ten, even a hundred times more terrifying than the Supreme King's in the Spirit World. Even if high-level spirits like El Shaddoll Construct no longer remembered her story, the implication was there.

"This is tough..." Hikaru put down his pen, folding his hands behind his head as he thought on the train.

Aside from those three, there were plenty of other places to go,like The Mountain, or the Secret Village of the Spellcasters. Especially the latter,it had been so long since he'd visited the Magical Scientist. What if it had obtained another powerful Fusion Monster?

He'd have to challenge one of its leftover fields.

As for The Mountain, Baby Thunder Dragon had been missing its kin lately, so it was time to check in and maybe find another Thunder Dragon Fusion…

There were other destinations too, like Predaplant World…

While everyone was lost in their own thoughts, Celina, seeing that no one else was paying attention, looked curiously at the mirror in front of Jaden.

Truth was…

She'd been curious for days, albeit since it concerned Jaden-senpai's "life and death" and "personal will," she hadn't asked.

Today, sitting across from him and seeing him sorting through his Deck again, she reached out and asked if she could look. After a nod of permission, she picked up the mirror.

When Tyranno and Syrus had looked into it, there'd been nothing. For Jaden, however, it showed the Supreme King within.

So she was curious, and… a little afraid.

Days ago, in a fleeting glance, she had seen a girl with a long braid and faint purple highlights in her hair.

Now, looking again, it was clear it hadn't been her imagination.

She saw a girl identical to herself, however, with eyes completely shut, utterly unresponsive.

Around the girl was something very familiar, something she had seen many times before.

Strange… culture fluid.

She carefully flipped the mirror over, placing it face down on the table, suppressing her shock and doubt as she asked in as steady a voice as she could, "Master, can you teach me how to make this?"

"Hm? What? You mean the mirror?" Hikaru, having just decided to visit each location in order, looked up at her words. After thinking for a moment, he said, "The principle's still a bit advanced for you, but as for the basic construction, if you've got the steps and materials right, you can do it. I don't have the materials on hand, that said, I'll be heading back to the workshop soon,so sure."

It was rare to see Celina take such interest in an alchemic item, so Hikaru wasn't about to refuse.

After all, this was just an observation tool he'd made to extract the "Wicked Rune Creature - Dark," and it had originally been created for Celina. If she wanted to learn, he'd teach her.

"Thank you, Master!" Celina beamed, swinging her legs happily.
