Yu-Gi-Oh!: Transformed into a Girl, Starting with Trickstar

Chapter 22: TST [22]

Only to see [Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior] thrust its electricity-charged lance straight at Morgan.

But right then, a warped space appeared in front of Morgan, dark and deep like a void.

In that instant, Zion felt a chill in his heart—but it was too late to retract the attack command.

The electromagnetic lance vanished into the distortion, then reappeared behind Zion, delivering a shockingly crisp jolt of electricity.

Zion's Life Points dropped by a full 3000!

Thanks to the virtual tech, his entire body turned charred, with smoke curling from his sleeves and hair.

"The effect of [Dimension Wall]."

"This time, the Battle Damage I would take is instead inflicted on you."

"You... you actually had that card?!"

Zion hadn't expected such a counter from Morgan. Furious, he raised his eyes, determined to retaliate with a devastating attack next turn and reclaim his lost Life Points.

But just then, when he saw the other four face-down cards being revealed one after another, he froze. A cold bead of sweat slid down his temple.

'W-Why are they all Trap Cards?'

"Activate [Ojama Trio]'s effect!"

"Summon three Ojama Tokens to your field. These Tokens cannot be Tributed!"

Before Zion could even react, three hideous tokens appeared on his field, wriggling around in their briefs.

"What are these things?!"

Zion recoiled in disgust as the tokens swarmed his Monster Zones.

The crowd watching was equally stunned.

"She dodged Zion's attack and dealt damage to him?! Morgan's actually pulling it off!"

"So those five cards weren't just random sets!"

"What do you think the remaining ones do... Could Morgan really win this?!"

"Get real. She just used all her set cards this turn. If she can't finish off Zion now, she's definitely going to lose next turn."

Many nodded in agreement. Morgan had emptied her entire arsenal. How was she supposed to stop Zion's next attack?

Isla also watched curiously, but unlike the others, she couldn't figure out why Morgan would give her opponent three tokens.

Was it to clog up his Monster Zones?

However, those tokens were so ugly, she was starting to doubt Morgan's taste.

Jade, however, shivered at the sight of the tokens. She didn't even need to guess what Morgan was about to do next.

From the podium, Milo watched as the five Trap Cards continued flipping. His interest was piqued. In all his professional career, such a sight was a rare spectacle.

This student was intriguing.

Not only had she dodged the attack, she had successfully counterattacked.

That said, without any monsters on the field, how was she planning to win?

Morgan answered that question right away, as the third Trap Card lit up.

"Activate Trap Card, [Just Desserts]!"

"For every monster on your field, you take 500 damage."

Zion blinked in surprise.

'500 damage per monster…'

He looked at his field: two Magnet Warriors and three Ojama Tokens—the full five!

Only now did he realize Morgan gave him those Tokens just to maximize the damage.

"So that was your plan all along...?"

Zion stared at Morgan in shock. He never imagined a top student like him would get completely outplayed by a bottom-ranked duelist.

Moments later, the accumulated damage from his own field monsters slammed into Zion's Life Points, dropping them by 2500.

A chill ran down his spine. He had a bad feeling that he might actually lose to Morgan...

"Holy crap! Just like that, Zion's Life Points are down to 2500?!"

"This is nuts. I didn't even catch what happened!"

"That card seems to deal more damage the more monsters the opponent has!"

"No wonder Morgan gave him those Tokens!"

The students in the stands were dumbfounded. The Duel they had written off was now turning into a shocking reversal.

Morgan might end up being the biggest dark horse of this midterm exam!

Anyhow, now a new question filled their minds:

What were Morgan's last two set cards? Could they finish Zion off?

With bated breath, everyone turned toward the final two Trap Cards.

And at that moment, both of them activated simultaneously.

"Activate [Secret Barrel]!"

"Inflict damage equal to 200 times the total number of cards in your hand and on your field!"

"And the final card, [Chain Strike]!"

"Inflict damage equal to 400 times the number of Chains built up when this card was activated!"

Zion's face turned deathly pale. He had seven cards total between his field and hand, meaning 1400 damage.

Morgan had already built up four Chains, meaning 1600 more.

Added together, he was about to take 3000 damage—more than his remaining Life Points!

...

PS: The Chain rule follows a last-in, first-out sequence. The order was slightly adjusted here for dramatic purposes. Future Duels will aim to adhere more closely to official logic for better accuracy.
