Yu-Gi-Oh!: Transformed into a Girl, Starting with Trickstar

Chapter 24: TST [24]

The audience stands immediately erupted in an uproar.

The punishment truly was severe. After all, Morgan had just defeated Zion and was likely to become the top scorer in the exam—especially considering she may have beaten Isla as well.

In that case, Morgan had essentially climbed to the peak of Duel Academy's Middle Division.

Despite all that, who would've thought that her prior infraction would be exposed at this moment, rendering all her efforts meaningless.

Everyone felt a wave of regret. They could only sigh that Morgan had been born under the wrong star.

"Unbelievable! She was about to be number one, and now she's getting expelled!"

"If she hadn't failed those earlier assessments, maybe it wouldn't have come to this. Look at Isla."

"Come on, Isla's parents are famous Duelists. Would the school dare offend them?"

"Just goes to show—life is unpredictable, like sausage wrapped in sausage..."

While the students were still murmuring in disbelief, Zion's face brightened with joy. He had thought he was doomed on this exam, but it turned out there was still a twist of fate.

Morgan's result was voided, which meant the win was his.

Even if the match had to be redone… how many students in the Middle Division had a bizarre Deck like Morgan's?

Wouldn't they all be easy prey?

A grin spread across Zion's face, and he straightened his posture.

Hearing the school's decision, Isla frowned. She could unquestionably tell the punishment was biased.

She was about to stand up and argue with the school when a sudden thought made her freeze.

Wait a second!

…If Morgan gets expelled and cuts ties with her classmates, wouldn't that give her a chance to have Morgan all to herself?

The idea made Isla increasingly excited. She gracefully sat back down and began to fantasize about her two-person world with Morgan.

Jade, naturally, didn't want Morgan to leave either. That would mean less time spent with her, and without Morgan to "grip," she'd go insane.

Yet, Jade wasn't too worried. So what if Morgan got expelled?

It's not like there's only one Duel Academy in the world!

As soon as Morgan got expelled, Jade could enroll her into a new school without missing a beat.

If one place doesn't keep her, another surely will!

And if they transferred together, they could even ditch that bitch Isla!

In just a few short moments, both girls had already mapped out Morgan's future escape route—each with a few private agendas.

On the podium, Milo looked at Morgan with a touch of regret, lamenting how the school had wasted a promising talent.

Still, he wasn't surprised by the punishment. As a native of Solmere City and a former graduate of this very academy, he knew full well how the school operated.

It was part of why he had turned down their offers to return.

However, if this girl was willing, he could offer her something better: an opportunity to join the Haisen Club.

Meanwhile, Morgan stood firm on the field, completely unfazed by the expulsion.

She knew that Riding Duels left behind data records. If the school investigated, they were bound to uncover it.

That said, she just hadn't expected them to announce it during the exam.

Ultimately, that, too, was an opportunity!

With all eyes watching, the school couldn't and wouldn't be able to hide anything!

After all, in a world where Duels decide everything, there was a very simple way to overturn a punishment: Duel!

At that thought, Morgan flashed her usual grin and spoke to Mr. Grant:

"Mr. Grant, I accept the school's punishment..."

"But at the same time, I wish to issue a Duel challenge to the school!"

"If I lose, I will withdraw of my own accord..."

"But if I win, I ask that my punishment be revoked!"

The moment Morgan spoke, the entire arena erupted!

The school's regulations did include a rule allowing students to challenge teachers; even so, no one had ever used it.

Most teachers were retired pro Duelists. What chance did a student with no outside experience have against them?

And so, the rule had faded into obscurity.

Yet now, Morgan had invoked it… publicly, in front of the entire crowd.

"This is insane! Beating Zion wasn't enough, now she wants to challenge a teacher?!"

"She must be full of herself after beating the top student. Teachers are on a whole different level!"

"By the rules, Mr. Grant has to accept the challenge, right?"

"That's bad news... Before retiring, Mr. Grant was Platinum tier. There's no way Morgan can win!"

Mr. Grant himself looked astonished. He stared at Morgan, uncertain.

"You really want to challenge me? Even if you beat Zion, that doesn't prove anything. It just means you got lucky."

"Your Deck is strange, sure, but to a pro Duelist, it's completely unviable."

"Especially now that your tactics have been exposed."

Morgan understood exactly what he meant.

The key to Underworld Decks was surprise and unpredictability. Once revealed, their effectiveness plummeted.

And her Trickstar Deck couldn't be used in public.

Which meant she was stuck in a tight spot—no Deck available.

Fortunately, after the Duel with Zion, she finally had enough Duel Points to redeem a new Deck.

And this time, she picked something perfect for a girl like her.
