A Cultivator in the World Dominated By Awakeners

Chapter 70: World of Shadows

The Prime Minister initially looked curious about what was happening, then was stunned to see two figures in black cloaks and masks.

Oliver and Rebecca already had a plan: to capture the Prime Minister directly, relying solely on their strength.

Oliver could sense the aura of cultivation emanating from him, but as Rebecca had said, he seemed to have only a single drop of energy left, barely enough to move normally.

When the two of them moved together, capturing him was too easy, like catching a kitten that couldn't walk.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?" The Prime Minister spoke in a trembling voice as he began to be bound.

Previously, Oliver and Rebecca had agreed that they wouldn't speak to the Prime Minister, so they remained silent.

Rebecca went further, forcibly taking the ring from the Prime Minister's hand—a ring with a black orb-shaped gem, similar to the artifact itself.

The Prime Minister was completely powerless.

Once the ring was in Rebecca's hand, she could summon a portal to freely enter and exit the artifact.

She then sent the Prime Minister out.

"World of Shadows, so that's its name," she said.

"Rebecca, where are his other treasures?" Oliver asked.

"They're in this ring. Let's go first and take the artifact to a safe location," she replied.

"Alright," Oliver nodded.

They both exited through the portal at the same time. Upon returning to the basement, Oliver saw that the hole he had made had already healed. The artifact had returned to its original form.

Whoosh!

Rebecca then absorbed it into the ring with the black gem she had taken from the Prime Minister.

Aside from controlling the World of Shadows, the ring also seemed to function as a storage ring.

"You two, how dare you!" the Prime Minister, who had been sent out earlier, began to show his anger.

He looked breathless from rage.

But Rebecca ignored him.

She quickly moved to leave, and Oliver followed beside her.

As they started running across the ground, their speed exceeded 300 KM/h.

They left the village, took another road, and eventually returned to their car, which resumed its journey toward Manchester.

"Oliver, even though the Prime Minister has lost his artifact, his manifestations won't disappear. At least that's what I've heard. They only vanish if destroyed because they're essentially real clones," Rebecca said.

"I don't think they're a threat as long as he doesn't know who we are," Oliver replied.

"True, but if he finds out, he'll definitely use all his manifestations to their fullest extent."

"No need to talk about things that won't happen. Do you know why there were so many skulls in that world?"

"They were probably for experimentation," Rebecca answered.

"Ohh..." Oliver showed an intrigued expression.

"As far as I know, he couldn't directly create treasures that boost cultivation. They're often imperfect. He wouldn't dare try them himself, so he used them on others."

"I see..." Oliver finally understood.

He then glanced at the ring with the black gem on Rebecca's finger.

"I think my contribution was greater—so why is the artifact still in your hand now?" he asked.

The treasure capable of boosting cultivation, and the method to create it—he wanted both. As for the other items the Prime Minister had, he wasn't interested.

But the World of Shadows—he couldn't rest easy without obtaining it.

After all, it was a very useful artifact. He could reside inside it while sending manifestations on adventures, eliminating the risk of death.

"Ehmm..." Rebecca cleared her throat as she looked back at him.

"You're right, this was all thanks to you. I basically just had the intel. Without you, this plan couldn't have been executed," she said with a cautious smile.

"Wait a moment!" After that, she appeared to be transferring the contents of the ring's space to her Storage Ring.

Oliver wasn't sure what exactly she transferred—perhaps some of the Prime Minister's most prized treasures, other than the artifact.

After she was done, she removed the ring with the black gem.

"We got this together, so of course we'll manage it together. But since you contributed more and you're stronger, naturally you should hold it," she said with a soft laugh.

After saying that, she truly handed him the ring.

Even Oliver was quite surprised by this.

Was she truly so rational that she could easily overcome her greed and ego?

"As far as I know, the owner of the World of Shadows can create manifestations, and they won't disappear even if the artifact changes ownership," she said, and Oliver nodded.

"I only hope you'll lend me the World of Shadows to create my own manifestations—and again when mine are destroyed."

Oliver took the ring from her before replying, "No problem. You're free to come anytime you want..."

He was aware that he couldn't afford to be stingy with Rebecca. If she got upset, she might leak this secret to the entire world.

If the whole world knew, he wasn't sure he could keep it—there might be someone out there capable of breaching the artifact.

He then peeked into the ring's storage space, seeing the large World of Shadows, a spiritual book titled Path of Alchemy, a bottle filled with transparent liquid that actually contained images of various types of living-looking monsters, several strange plants from the Chaotic World, and a decent amount of Monster Cores.

There were no weapons or similar items. Rebecca had probably taken those.

Oliver pulled out the Path of Alchemy book.

He believed it was a spiritual book because it wasn't made of paper or leather, but condensed spiritual energy.

Of course, it was still a book and could be opened.

Oliver flipped to a random page and found strange writing he didn't understand—until suddenly, the writing became clear to him.

(Spiritual Blood Potion – can boost cultivation from Stage Three of Earth Master Realm to Sky Master Realm!)

Ingredients:

Blood of a Level 30 Bird-type Monster

Seed of a Sunflower King

Root of a Black Banana Tree

Giant Dragonfruit

Beneath the text, Oliver saw instructions on how to combine the above ingredients to create the Spiritual Blood Potion.

Compared to the ingredients, the crafting method was even more difficult and still wasn't guaranteed to succeed, as it had to be done perfectly.

Any small mistake could result in negative effects.

One couldn't be sure whether their potion was truly perfect.

To verify it, trials were needed—specifically, testing it on another human with at least Stage Ten of the Spiritual Master Realm by having them drink a small amount of the potion.

'This is too high level,' Oliver thought, flipping to earlier pages and finally deciding to start from page one.
