A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 234: I’m Here to Join This Family

Although there were quite a few maids in the new home, the task of cooking for Shin was ultimately not left to them. Instead, it was done by Tohru and Sayu Ogiwara together.

Sayu Ogiwara felt that if she let the maids handle all the chores, she would feel a bit out of place staying at Shin's house. So, she preferred to continue doing the tasks she had been doing before.

As for Tohru, she believed that, as the head maid, she was naturally responsible for Shin's diet, so she also intended to take on the cooking duties.

As a result, the two were unwilling to give in to each other. Even someone as gentle as Sayu Ogiwara wasn't willing to back down in this matter.

In the end, after some discussion, they decided to cook together, putting an end to the dispute.

The final meal turned out to be quite delicious. Although it was Tohru's first time using modern kitchen appliances, thanks to the dragons' strong learning ability, she quickly became proficient.

However, it was worth mentioning that during dinner, Sayu Ogiwara complained about Tohru, saying that Tohru had attempted to chop off her own dragon tail to cook for Shin.

It was only after much persuasion from Sayu Ogiwara that Tohru finally gave up on the idea—though judging by her eager expression, Shin had a feeling she would try again in the future.

Perhaps offering her tail meat to others was a way for dragons to express closeness? Shin wasn't entirely sure. In the original work, Tohru did seem very enthusiastic about trying to turn her tail into a dish.

While others seemed to resist eating Tohru's tail, Shin, on the other hand, felt like it wasn't really a big deal.

After all, he had used "Blackbird" to devour all sorts of strange things—Stands, Heroic Spirits, even the First Horn of Apocalypse… Compared to that, dragon tail meat seemed relatively normal.

---

At night, Shin turned on his new computer, downloaded the online game he used to play, and prepared to make full use of the high-end specs of his new setup.

His old computer had also been brought over and was now placed in another corner of the bedroom—thanks to the room being very spacious, even with more items, it didn't feel crowded.

In fact, if there were too few things, the bedroom would feel somewhat empty. This was probably the downside of having too large a room.

Currently, Tohru was using the old computer, continuing to learn about human society through the internet to avoid exposing any abnormalities when going out, even for simple errands like grocery shopping.

Sayu Ogiwara sat beside Tohru, guiding her through social knowledge while also ensuring that Tohru didn't accidentally pick up any strange knowledge from certain "books."

Although the "maid knowledge" Tohru had previously learned from those books had benefited Shin in the end, not all of the content was advantageous for him.

So, it was necessary to prevent Tohru from further exposure to those "common sense" lessons, and Sayu Ogiwara was just the right person to filter them out.

Originally, Irisviel had wanted to join in as well, but Sayu Ogiwara rejected her with, "Miss Iris, you don't even have a solid grasp of modern society yourself."

So now, Irisviel was sitting on the bed, holding a tablet and watching a drama.

Soon, Shin finished downloading the game on his new computer and logged into his account.

Almost the moment he logged in, he received a message from Gabriel.

"Healing Angel":"Why are you logging in so late today!? It's the weekend! Don't tell me you had plans with someone else again?"

Gabriel's tone was filled with grievance, as if she were an abandoned wife complaining about a neglectful husband.

Normally, Shin spent his weekends at home gaming, and Gabriel was the same. The two would often spend an entire day playing together.

Playing games together on weekends had almost become a habit for them, but since last week, Shin's weekend schedule had changed.

Last week, at least, Shin had given a heads-up that he had plans. But this Saturday, he had disappeared without a word.

"Zuke": "I got an unexpected invitation from a friend this morning…"

Shin replied.

Eriri had sent him an invitation early in the morning, so he hadn't known in advance that he'd be going out with her to browse a strange toy store. Naturally, he hadn't been able to inform Gabriel beforehand.

"Healing Angel": "You never used to be like this. Are you seriously turning into a normie!?"

Gabriel seemed somewhat displeased. She used to have Shin all to herself on weekends, but recently, his schedule had suddenly changed.

"Zuke": "I wouldn't go that far… But I won't give up online gaming, that's for sure. You don't have to worry about that."

That was all Shin could say. After all, the number of girls he was interacting with lately had indeed increased.

While he could ignore their invitations, the truth was that most of the time, he found their invitations rather interesting.

"Healing Angel": "Seriously, all I want is to play games with you, but why do so many people keep interrupting?"

Gabriel grumbled in frustration, but in the end, all she could do was send a message to express her displeasure—there was nothing she could actually do about it.

Besides, in a way, Shin had more control over her than she did over him—after all, she still hadn't figured out how he made his money.

Gabriel had already guessed that his money-making method was tied to his mysterious ability, but Shin refused to help her awaken the same power.

So, she could only keep waiting for an opportunity to uncover the secret, hoping that one day she could obtain that "Stand" ability and finally achieve financial freedom.

---

After finishing his gaming session, Shin went to the bathroom, took a shower, and changed into his sleepwear before returning to his room, ready to rest.

But the moment he stepped into the bedroom, he saw three people already sitting on his bed.

Tohru, Sayu Ogiwara, and Irisviel.

Sayu Ogiwara and Irisviel seemed fine, but Tohru's expression was visibly unhappy.

She had always been wary of Sayu Ogiwara and Irisviel because they might steal Shin's attention away from her.

And now, from her perspective, her fears had come true.

"Hmph, I'll just drain all of Shin Kun's energy first so that you two get nothing!"

Tohru made a fierce decision in her heart—though she didn't realize that such a plan was completely futile.

Dragons indeed had immense stamina, but… Shin's current combat power was enough to destroy entire planets with ease. His stamina was far beyond that of an ordinary person.
