As a Symbiote in Marvel multiverse

Chapter 60: A Villain’s Justification

**Earth-2149z, Nexus Earth – Former Avengers Building Rooftop**

The rooftop was eerily silent, the tension palpable as Archoid knelt beside Peter, his six arms folded respectfully. "My Liege," Archoid said, his deep voice resonating with loyalty. "I've caught the individuals who sought to cause trouble."

Peter smiled, his expression calm but commanding. "Good job, Arch."

Archoid's transformation was a testament to Peter's ingenuity. Originally known as Techno, the Spider-Man of this world, he had been given a new purpose. Peter had infused him with the DNA of various spider-people, guiding his evolution toward the pinnacle of spider-like abilities.

The result was Archoid—a being with six powerful arms, strength and speed that rivaled Asgardian physiology, and reflexes that defied comprehension.

He was the embodiment of an almost perfect Archoid being, a fusion of spider DNA and advanced symbiote technology. Hence, the name change from Techno to Archoid—or Arch for short.

Cindy who had been silent until now finally spoke up and her voice is trembling slightly. "Is that…?"

Peter cut her off, "Yes. He was previously the Spider-Man of this world. I've changed him into this."

Petra's eyes widened in horror and her fists clenching as she stepped forward. "What the hell is wrong with you?" she shouted with her voice filled with anger. "You turned normal people into monsters so they can serve you? There's something seriously wrong with your head!"

She turned to the others looking for support. America who had been quietly observing wore a complicated expression. "This guy… he's like a villain who's taken complete control of the world," she said to America.

Before she could say anything else, Peter's voice came out low, but chillingly clear. "Stop it."

The command wasn't directed at Petra but at his legion of soldiers.

Petra barely had time to process this before she felt something cold at her neck.

Archoid, who had been kneeling beside Peter, was now standing in front of her with his fingers inches from her eyes. Her spider-sense which is usually so reliable had failed her completely.

She froze as a new presence made her skin crawl.

Petra's breath hitched as she slowly turned her head to see Phantom, one of Peter's elite symbiote soldiers, standing beside her.

His energy sword glowed faintly as it rested against her neck and his narrowed eyes locked onto hers.

But that wasn't the worst of it.

The entire rooftop was now surrounded.

A sea of Symbiote soldiers—his Obsidian Legion—stood at attention and their presence is suffocating.

Their sheer numbers made it clear: Peter wasn't just playing king—he was one.

The girls felt the overwhelming pressure of the legion's presence.

Peter's voice cut through the silence. "Everyone should leave. Our meeting isn't over yet."

In an instant, every soldier—every figure—vanished in a swirl of blue smoke.

The suffocating pressure lifted, but Petra was still breathing heavily, sweat dripping down her brow.

Archoid knelt beside Peter once more, and Phantom teleported away and the energy sword dissipating into nothingness.

Petra stood frozen and her mind is racing. "How… how did my spider-sense not warn me?" she whispered more to herself than to Peter.

Peter's voice was calm, "I can block the spider-sense of every spider-person. So, don't be surprised."

The revelation stunned her further. Peter's control over their abilities was far more extensive than she had imagined.

Peter rose from his seat. "But your earlier statement isn't entirely wrong," he admitted and his expression softened as he began to explain. "But let me tell you the full story."

He gestured to the world around them. "This world, before I arrived, was on the brink of collapse. It was overrun by chaos, by zombies and there are no living beings present here. I needed a world to build an army, and this one was suitable."

He let the words settle before continuing. "The canon events of this world dictated that it must have zombies. So, I turned them into my minions—not as mindless slaves, but as empowered beings with freedom and purpose. I gave them power, stability, and a chance to thrive."

Petra's anger wavered and was replaced by confusion and a flicker of understanding. "You… you could cure them? Turn them back into humans?"

Peter nodded. "Yes, I could. But doing so would mean allowing the world to fall back into chaos. We can't change the Canon events, though I can change them I can't do it carelessly, otherwise the entire world may end. The zombies are a part of this world's destiny. By transforming them, I've given them a new path—one where they can live with dignity and strength."

The rooftop fell silent as Petra processed his words. Her initial anger had given way to a more complicated mix of emotions. She looked at Archoid, who knelt silently beside Peter. He didn't look like a monster—he looked like a soldier.

Peter's voice softened further. "I'm not a villain, Petra. I'm just trying to do what's necessary to protect my world and the people in it. For that I need lots of Power. Sometimes, that means making hard choices."

Petra's fists unclenched, her shoulders slumping as the weight of his words settled over her. She didn't agree with his methods, but she couldn't deny the logic behind them. "I… I don't know what to think," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Peter smiled faintly. "You don't have to decide right now. But know this—I'm not your enemy here."

The group fell silent.

America stared at him with a mix of wariness and curiosity. Cindy looked troubled. Petra clenched her fists again, her emotions in turmoil.

Finally, Susan spoke. "And you think that justifies all of this?"

Peter tilted his head. "Would you rather they be mindless monsters or something greater?"

Silence.

For better or worse, Peter Parker had become something else entirely. And whether they could accept that or not… was a question none of them were ready to answer.

Peter turned to Petra, then to the rest of the group. His expression remained calm as he spoke. "You may think I'm a villain… but remember this—I'm not your enemy."

With a simple gesture, the unconscious men lying before them suddenly had their masks disintegrated into dust.

The girls' eyes widened in shock.

Their expressions turned from confusion to outright horror as they recognized the faces underneath.

Each and every one of them had the same face.

A face they knew all too well.

"Reed…?" Susan's voice trembled with disbelief. "How is this possible?"

Her mind raced. Reed Richards. Her friend. Her ex-boyfriend. They had dated back in college, but eventually, Susan realized that Reed valued his research and experiments more than their relationship. They had parted on civil terms, but never—never—did she expect to see this.

Peter's expression darkened as he reached into their minds, his psychic abilities easily piercing through their subconscious thoughts. There was only one command burned into their minds. "Obey the order of the Maker."

Peter exhaled deeply and sat down, lost in thought.

"The Maker…" he murmured while piecing together what he knew.

The Maker—Reed Richards of Earth-1610

Peter began to recall what he knew.

In another universe—Earth-1610, the Ultimate Universe—Reed Richards had once been a brilliant hero, much like his mainstream counterpart. But after the destruction of his world, something inside him snapped. No longer burdened by the need to be a hero, Reed abandoned morality in pursuit of absolute knowledge and power.

He evolved, reshaping his very body into something more… inhuman. His mind became sharper, his ambitions grander, and his morals nonexistent.

He took the name "The Maker."

A genius beyond comprehension. A manipulator of worlds. A man who no longer saw people—only variables to be controlled.

And now… he was here.

Peter turned to the group, his tone serious. "I've read their minds. The guy behind all this… he's called the Maker. He's a version of Reed Richards from another universe—Earth-1610. After his world was destroyed, he became obsessed with creating a new, 'perfect' reality. He's the one pulling the strings."

Susan's face paled, her hands trembling. "The Maker… Reed? But why? How could he do something like this?"

Peter sighed, "The Maker isn't the Reed you know. He's… different. Broken. And now, he's after you."

Susan sat frozen and the weight of Peter's words crushing her. America and Petra moved beside her, their expressions just as grim.

Peter let out a small breath. So that's the enemy we're dealing with…

He snapped his fingers.

Instantly, the device the girls had used to come here appeared in his hand.

Petra narrowed her eyes and her muscles tensing. She didn't like this.

"I'll study how the Space Stone interacts across different universes," Peter said casually, as if he wasn't holding a device powered by two Infinity Stones. "For now, you guys should rest. Don't worry—I'll help you on this one."

Petra wanted to protest. Leaving a device containing two Infinity Stones in Peter's hands was beyond reckless.

But… she also knew she didn't have the power to stop him.

She had seen what he was capable of.

Her fists clenched, but she said nothing.

Peter smirked. "I'll teleport you to your rooms. A single room—separate beds for each of you."

The girls exchanged glances. They still had plenty of questions—but right now, they needed to talk among themselves.

With a snap of Peter's fingers, they vanished.

Then Peter's gaze fell upon the device in his hands.

Then, without hesitation—

He devoured it.

A surge of pure energy exploded within him.

Six different lightning bolts of distinct colors crackled around his body, tearing through the air. His entire being trembled as his power underwent a massive transformation.

Inside his mind, Raphael's voice echoed.

"Mind Stone and Space Stone successfully devoured."

"Space-time manipulation has been strengthened further."

"Mind Stone has drastically increased Telepathy and Telekinesis levels."

"New skill acquired—Illusion Projection."

Peter exhaled slowly, feeling the limitless potential surging through him.

The new skill, Illusion Projection, would allow him to create lifelike illusions, a powerful tool in both combat and strategy.

This power…

This was just the beginning.

He'll grow more powerful in the future.
