Destroying My Own World

Chapter 201: Ymir.

Jeanne and Brynhilde looked at each other after they heard Elena's voice in their heads. They both had been staying in the mountain near the gate, and nobody dared to approach them because they had tried to assassinate them but failed. They both then went to where the gate was, but they realized Magnus and the others were still guarding the gate.

Magnus heard rustling sounds in the distance, and he with everyone immediately stood up and grabbed their weapons. The moment they saw Jeanne and Brynhilde, they felt anxious and scared because they saw those two holding their swords indicating that they were there not to talk.

"What are you doing?" Magnus asked as he held his spear.

"Move. We are here not for you," Jeanne said as she kept walking toward the gate.

"We won't let you get any further than this!" Magnus shouted and charged toward Jeanne with a spear in his hand.

Brynhilde swung her sword so fast that Magnus didn't realize that the spear had been cut in half. The moment Magnus looked down at his spear, Jeanne grabbed his face and threw him off the mountain. The others who watched Magnus fall off the mountain immediately charged at those two, but they died before they knew it.

Magnus hit a sharp rock right on his back on his fall, and it messed with his spine that it was so painful. He groaned as he tried to stand up, but he was barely able to move his shaking legs. He wasn't concerned about his condition, he was more concerned about what Jeanne and Brynhilde were planning to do.

"(Stand up)" Odin's voice could be heard inside Magnus' head. "(Believe in me and you will receive my power)" Odin continued.

Magnus took a deep breath with his eyes closed, and then he heard a notification sound. When he opened his eyes, he was baffled when he saw a lot of notifications before his eyes.

[You have attained (6) skills!]

[You have learned the [Raven's Wings] skill!]

[You have learned the [Raven's Eyes] skill!]

[You have learned the [Raven's Sense] skill!]

[You have learned the [Swap] skill!]

[You have learned the [Summon Raven] skill!]

[You have learned the [Shapeshift: Raven] skill!]

[You have learned the [Odin's Blessing] skills!]

Magnus didn't need to read the description of his newly attained skills because of the [Odin's Blessing] skill. He knew everything since he was blessed by Odin's knowledge, and so he summoned raven wings on his back.

He flew at the speed of sound and reached the peak of the mountain in just a few seconds. When he landed, he saw his friends and members bathed in their own blood. He was furious and then he looked at the gate where Jeanne and Brynhilde should be.

The moment he entered the gate, he was welcomed by a fierce earthquake in Midgard. He was surprised at what had happened, but then he saw something moving above the sky, a serpent that covered the space with its massive body, Jormungandr.

He flew up to Asgard because he believed that was where Jeanne and Brynhilde went to. But he wondered if that would be possible because nobody could go up there without Heimdall's power. He then decided to stay in the sky and looked down at Midgard, making sure that he didn't miss anything.

When he was looking around, he then heard Jormungandr growl which created a massive tsunami in the God realm. He realized that Jormungandr was fighting something above the clouds, above Midgard.

The moment he went beyond the clouds, he was speechless when he saw hundreds of Gods flying down from Asgard. He wondered what had happened until he saw Brynhilde, on her own challenging Jormungandr. That was when he got petrified when Jormungandr, the being that could swallow mountains with its mouth was badly injured.

"How is that even possible?!" Magnus asked in disbelief. He then looked around Brynhilde, but he couldn't find Jeanne anywhere. "Where's she? Why the Gods and Jormungandr are only focusing on her?" Magnus asked.

"(Join them, Magnus. We will help them defeat her)" Odin said.

Magnus nodded his head and flew toward the battle where Brynhilde got surrounded by dozens of Gods including Thor and Freyja. He still couldn't believe that Brynhilde had wings, a pair of beautiful and translucent wings.

(Somewhere below Midgard)

Jeanne landed on a massively wide paved road with people walking toward the gate that was covered in cold mist. She walked among them and it was somehow familiar and unknown at the same time.

"He's down here?" Jeanne asked as he looked at a person shrouded in a worn-out cloak.

The person chuckled and it was a woman, and then the woman removed the cloak, showing who she was.

"I was going to surprise you, but the fact you noticed me immediately is not fun," Loki said with his hands resting on his waist. "But yes, Ymir is down here, hiding himself, doing what he's told by The Lord, and becoming a pillar to shoulder Earth," Loki answered as he walked next to Jeanne.

"Are you sure you're ready to face him? Even Odin himself doesn't want to get near him even though Odin once killed him to shape the six of the nine realms," Loki asked and looked at Jeanne in her full plate armor that fit with her body.

"I wouldn't wear this armor if I'm not ready," Jeanne answered as she looked at the gauntlet she wore that felt like her own skin, flesh, and bones.

The armor was specially made by Amaryllis, and everyone had a different model and size since they were made to be fit, not too small or too big on their bodies. Amaryllis was confident that the armor would be as strong as Mykel's body, and that the armor itself could regenerate, and so their weapons as well.

The moment they passed the gate, the mist started to cover everyone and it magically separated one from the others. Jeanne couldn't sense any presence around her as if she was alone in the thick mist. She then heard a deep growl in front of her, and then she could see a big mouth with a blazing blue flame inside it and glowing dark blue eyes behind the thick mist.

Jeanne walked toward it since she knew who it was, and that was Fenrir, Hel's brother, and Loki's son. When she was right in front of the giant wolf, she could see someone was riding Fenrir, a woman with half of her face missing.

"You retained your old face back," Jeanne said and stared into Hel's eyes.

"This has always been my face ever since I was born," Hel answered. "Follow me, I'll show you where Ymir is," Hel said and then Fenrir started running into the thick mist.

Jeanne spread her wings and followed those two from behind, and the moment the mist had thinned, she could see the two worlds standing side by side, the Helheim and the Muspelheim. She watched Fenrir jump from one root to another, and she kept following those two until they reached the edge. The edge was a vast empty space that had no end to it, even Jeanne didn't want to go beyond that.

Jeanne landed right next to Hel and Fenrir, and then Loki appeared out of thin air and stood next to her. They looked around and Jeanne couldn't see anything but mountains next to her.

"So? Where's he?" Jeanne asked and looked at Loki and Hel.

They both looked at each other for a moment and then they both pointed at the mountains on their sides. Jeanne looked at the mountains on her left and right, and she was confused as to what they were trying to show her.

"I see nothing but mountains. Is he hiding in one of those mountains?" Jeanne asked again with furrowed eyebrows.

"No Jeanne," Loki paused to shake his head. "Those mountains are parts of his body, or should I say, those mountains are his fingers," Loki continued and stared Jeanne in the eye.

The moment Loki said that the mountains started to shake and move that was enough to shake the whole Yggdrasil Tree from the roots all the way to the top. They then started to see a massive head that blocked the empty space in front of them. A pair of light blue eyes started to rise, and its eyes were as big as the moon. All this time, Ymir had been hanging on the edge, protecting it from the threats below the nine realms.

"Now I understand why Odin doesn't want to get near him anymore," Jeanne said as she watched Ymir rise from his slumber.
