Chapter 206: Cracks.
The battle that was supposed to be between Lillith, Nefarath, Kiersha, and Frigna against the Gods of Slavic mythology had turned into Aurea against Volos. Nobody could withstand the destructive power of those two, and even Perun decided to stay away from the battle.
Aurea grabbed Volos' face with her right hand and threw him to the tree so hard that it shook the whole tree. Although it looked painful, Volos was fine, and he immediately pushed himself and flew back to throw a punch at her.
Aurea took the punch and it was enough to knock her down even though she was ten times bigger than Volos. She bled and that surprised Lillith and her sisters because Aurea was supposed to be the strongest of them all.
Volos landed right on top of Aurea's chest and sent her back down to Nav Realm. The moment the battle took place in a different realm, Lillith and the others immediately hunted the Gods.
Nefarath showed her true form and became fifty meters tall with her long spider legs on her back. Kiersha flew toward Svarog with her serpent following her from behind, but dozens of Gods blocked her path. Frigna's skin and flesh were ripped as her bones started to grow bigger and her skull wings appeared and acted like external ribs.
All the Slavic Gods looked at those three and they had never seen something like that all their lives. One of the Gods flew toward Frigna, a demon-like God asked with his red bat wings on his back that had the same color as his skin.
That God used his claws to scratch Frigna's skull wings that protected her. The moment he was done scratching her bone, his claws were the ones that got damaged. He was surprised, but then he saw a long tail made of bone rattle at him and hit him right on the head down to the ground.
Frigna was underwhelmed by how weak a God was, and it was the first time she fought one. When she was about to kill him by impaling the body with her tail, the God stopped her attack. Her tail wouldn't budge, and then she was being pulled toward h.im
She noticed the God had changed his skin color to blue and his wings as well. The power was totally different from before, and then he broke her bones like snapping a twig. Amaryllis informed Frigna that the God she was dealing with was Chernobog and Belobog, a being that had two different personalities, like the moon and the sun.
Chernobog was on the dark side where his strength was unparalleled and during night and winter, he became undefeated. Belobog on the other hand, he was the bright side where his body couldn't be broken and his will unwavering.
"You have forced me to use my other half," Chernobog said and threw the bone away. "I'm done being humiliated," Chernobog added and changed his skin color to purple. Combining both powers, making him the second most powerful being there.
Frigna giggled as she covered her mouth, and then she activated her new skill. Nothing seemed to differ from before, and Chernobog wondered why she looked so confident. He didn't bother thinking about it and went all out to kill her by creating havoc turning the ground upside down with his willpower alone.
Chernobog flew toward Frigna so quickly that he was already right behind her. He was so sure he killed her by destroying her whole chest, but the fact she was still standing surprised him. He could see the big hole in her chest with black blood gushing out.
"Boom," Frigna said, and suddenly Chernobog's chest exploded and he had the same wound as her. "Surprised?" Frigna asked as her chest had fully regenerated.
Chernobog's body couldn't be regenerated and the wound became so severe that it slowly ate his skin, flesh, and bone. His bones started to decompose and fell to the ground, his flesh started to rot, and his blood started to clot like jelly. He finally collapsed and that made Perun and the other Gods look at him with a confused look.
Frigna's new skill was called [Belligerent] which made her couldn't feel any pain and she had instant regeneration. Not only that, whoever touched her body started to decline, the opposite of regeneration. It worked like nuclear radiation but far worse and the skill made regeneration impossible.
Svarog couldn't accept it and so he lifted his giant sword and flew toward Frigna, but before he could even get close to her, Kiersha blocked his path. Svarog didn't have the time to deal with a different one, so he created a sun above his head as big as a colosseum.
He threw the small sun at Nefarath and was prepared to see the explosion that would be enough to destroy a whole country. When the sun got near Nefarath, the sun shrunk rapidly until there was nothing left, only mist and smoke.
"Your opponent is me, and I have been wanting to approach you but these weaklings were bothering me," Nefarath said as she looked at dozens of Gods frozen inside a block of ice and unable to free themselves. "I want to see how good you are at using those flames," Nefarath continued and walked toward Svarog with her snake slithered right behind her feet.
Perun could see that Svarog wouldn't be a good match against Nefarath, so he used his power to defeat her. When he struck a few bolts of lightning at her in a split second, he was shocked when he saw the bolts of lightning were frozen. The bolts of lightning didn't even reach her head, and they were already frozen because of her power.
"What? Do you want to join in as well? I don't mind," Nefarath said as the snake slithered on her leg and up to her waist. "She can join as well if she wants," Nefarath looked at Mara with a smirk.
Lillith alone was already a problem, but then three more came and they were as dangerous as Lillith. Looking at the situation they were in, they didn't think they could win and they started to get tired of losing and being powerless.
Before Perun could decide what to do, the ground exploded again, but this time they were petrified by what they saw. Volos' head was the only thing that came out of the ground, and his eyes and mouth were wide open. Aurea came out of the hole and landed right in front of Perun with the decapitated body of Volos.
"It's over," Aurea said as she threw Volos' body and landed right in front of Perun.
"What have you done?" Perun asked as he stared at Volos' body which was still fresh and the blood spurting out of his neck and slowly looked up at Aurea.
The sky started to make a faint cracking sound, and everyone looked up to see the small crack in the sky like broken glass. They could feel the pressure coming out of the crack and tried to crush them down to their knees. They could also sense someone was glaring at them from the crack, invisible eyes that were enough to make the Gods petrified. All the Gods from all over the Earth could feel it as well, and they were all like puppies staring at their parents who were big and vicious.
Stay connected through empire
Before they could hold themselves together, another pillar had been destroyed, and it came from Mount Olympus. More cracks were created and connected with each other, making the barrier more vulnerable.
"What have I done?" Aurea asked back with her eyebrows raised and a huge smile on her face. "I decided to bring in more Gods to play with," Aurea answered in excitement.
(In France)
Helen was smoking her cigarette outside her new tattoo shop that she had just opened a few days ago. She was unbothered by the chaos and the mess that happened there because she didn't care about anything anymore.
"Are you free?" Elena asked.
Helen was startled and almost dropped her cigarette, and then she looked at Elena with a surprised expression.
"Elena? How are you here?" Helen asked.
"There's something that you need to know. So, do you have time?" Elena replied as she put her hands in her trousers' pockets.
"Come in," Helen smiled gently and then flicked the cigarette.
