Aiden's leap into the portal felt like an eternity of agony. His body stretched endlessly, his senses warping, his mind barely clinging to consciousness. A sharp, splitting pain carved through his skull, like someone driving a molten-hot needle into his brain. He tried to focus, tried to keep his thoughts together, but the sheer force of the transition made it impossible.

'So this is what interdimensional travel feels like? Yeah… definitely not doing this again.'

Then, suddenly, it was over. The crushing pressure vanished, and he was violently ejected from the swirling vortex, flung through the air like a ragdoll before smashing into a nearby wall. The impact rattled his bones, forcing the air from his lungs as he collapsed onto the cold, metal floor.

Groaning, he forced himself up, muttering, "Fucking hell..." His body still felt disoriented, like parts of him hadn't fully caught up with reality. He took a deep breath, focusing his mind.

'Alright, one week. That's all I have. I need to figure out where the hell I am and find Dad before time runs out.'

His surroundings were dimly lit, a long-abandoned underground bunker. The portal behind him still shimmered with an eerie glow, casting flickering shadows across the walls. He had no idea who built this place or why it existed, but one thing was clear—he was deep underground.

He scanned the room, quickly spotting a broken elevator. Figures. With no other choice, he took the stairs, bolting up them two at a time. But as he climbed, he realized just how deep this bunker truly was.

'How far underground am I?!'

Level after level, step after step, he pushed forward, his breathing steady despite the long ascent. His body was strong, enhanced by his Dragon Slayer abilities, but even he found it ridiculous how buried this place was. Finally, after what felt like forever, he reached the top.

A massive reinforced bunker door blocked his way.

Aiden exhaled sharply, weighing his options. 'I could blast my way through… but that might draw attention. And I need this place to stay hidden, just in case I need to retreat back to the portal.'

Thinking quickly, he activated Shadow Mode, his body dissolving into darkness. Slipping beneath the door like living smoke, he reemerged on the other side, taking a moment to reorient himself.

The moment he stepped outside, he knew something was off.

The air felt… different. There was a strange static in the atmosphere, a hum of technology far beyond anything he was used to. He was in a dense forest, but the sounds of nature were overshadowed by a distant mechanical whirring. He took off running, scanning for any signs of civilization.

Minutes later, he found it.

His feet came to a stop at the edge of a hill, and below him stretched a city unlike anything he had ever seen.

Towering skyscrapers floated mid-air, their surfaces sleek and pulsating with neon-blue energy. Gigantic holo-screens displayed alien symbols, flickering between propaganda-like images. Flying ships zipped through the sky in organized formations, darting between massive, gravity-defying structures. The city was a strange fusion of breathtaking advancement and tragic decay—some buildings were pristine and glowing, while others lay in ruins, half-destroyed and crumbling. Fires smoldered in the distance, and the streets were eerily quiet despite the presence of so many people.

Aiden narrowed his eyes. 'Futuristic… but broken. This place is advanced, sure, but something's wrong. It looks like a city still in the middle of a war'

He muttered to himself, "Yeah… definitely not my Earth."

Shaking his head, he pushed forward, slipping into the shadows and making his way into the city. He needed information. Fast.

As he wandered the streets, he soon noticed a long line of people gathered outside what looked like a ration distribution center. The people looked ragged, their faces weary and starved. Yet, the city around them gleamed with wealth and power.

'This doesn't add up. If they have tech like this, why the hell are people starving?'

Curious, he joined the line, blending in as he approached an older man. "Hey," he whispered. "Why is food being rationed? This place looks rich enough."

The man gave him a bewildered look, then turned away, ignoring him completely.

Aiden frowned. 'Weird'

He tried again with another person. Same result.

'Okay… that's not normal. Either they're scared, or they think I'm an idiot'

Before he could try again, a hooded woman stepped beside him, eyeing him up and down. "Are you an idiot or something?" she asked bluntly.

Aiden sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Somewhat."

She scoffed, crossing her arms. "This is where the Supreme God's lieutenants distribute food to the 'peasants' so they can keep working for him."

'Supreme God? That's a new one.'

He raised an eyebrow. "And who exactly is this 'Supreme God'?"

The woman's expression darkened, her gaze sharp with suspicion. She said nothing and turned away as the line moved forward.

Aiden pursed his lips. 'Great. Now I'm even more confused.'

As they reached the front, Aiden finally got a clear look at the distributors. They were women clad in dark, angular armor, their backs adorned with small, shadowy angel-like wings.

He leaned in toward the hooded woman again. "Who are they?"

She snorted. "You really don't know shit, huh? The Dark Valkyries. If you don't even know about them, you're dead meat in this world."

'Dark Valkyries? That's a name I don't like the sound of'

It was the woman's turn. She stepped forward and handed over her plate. One of the Valkyries, looking down at her with disdain, scooped a small portion of soup into it. "Praise the Supreme God Thor" the Valkyrie said coldly.

Aiden's mind stalled. 'Wait. Thor?'

Before he could process it, the hooded woman grinned.

"Yeah? Fuck Thor."

In a blur, she whipped out two pistols and fired, her bullets punching through the Valkyrie's skull in an instant.

"ATTACK!" she roared.

The line exploded into chaos. Dozens of people, hidden rebels, yanked out weapons and opened fire. The Valkyries retaliated immediately, dark wings flaring as they unsheathed spears and energy blades.

The hooded woman threw off her cloak, revealing a stunning redhead clad in a tight, orange-and-black combat suit. She swung a massive guitar case over her shoulder, flipping it open—and instead of a guitar, it was loaded with weapons.

With a manic grin, she pulled out a shotgun and blasted another Valkyrie point-blank.

Then, from above, a darker figure descended, landing with a crushing impact. Unlike the rest, this Valkyrie's armor was sleeker, more refined, her presence exuding raw authority. She twirled a spear effortlessly, a smirk on her lips.

"Elsa Bloodstone," she called out. "We knew the Resistance scum would come. Today, you die."

Aiden, meanwhile, remained on the sidelines, arms crossed as he watched the chaos unfold.

His mind raced.

'I could step in. I could probably turn the tide in an instant… But should I?

I don't know the full picture yet. I don't know who's right or wrong.

And more importantly—I haven't found Dad yet.'

He exhaled slowly, stepping back as the battle raged on.

'For now… I Should....Probably...Maybe.... help that woman'
