Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

Chapter 615: Void vs. Chaos (IV)

--

The Divine Celestial Chancellor made the next move...

With his divine armament gleaming in gold and killing intent, he punched the Void Prince.

And as if the world was ending, everything around him caved in. Space and time twisted, reality groaned in pain, the earth was sundered, and the skies lit up.

The Void Prince's pupils shrank as he felt the momentum of this punch; he hurriedly called out to his power, encasing himself with his wings and summoning a thick cocoon of void for protection.

As the blow landed, the entirety of the northwestern camp quaked. The aftermath could be felt from light-years away. The impact was so horrible that some people thought that the Chancellor was trying to take everyone out with the Void Prince.

However, it was only the aftermath that they felt. In truth, the damage was contained through the assistance of Silas and Cedric. They're not mad enough to destroy everything with the Void Prince, but they can't afford to hold back either.

The smoke and aftermath haven't even ended yet, but the follow-up was already launched. The Primal Beast Chancellor had the Void Prince's scent memorized, and he knew that, while the punch of his comrade was strong, it didn't cause too much damage to the prince. At most, he was in pain, but far from dying, and that just won't do...

So, with his fangs bared in animosity, he disappeared from his location, ripping apart the distance with his claws, appearing right on top of the cracked cocoon of the Void Prince.

He stretched out his claws, which contained endless destructive might, and tore apart the cocoon. He felt his claws sinking into the flesh of the Void Prince, but this didn't bring him joy or thrill. Instead, he heard his instincts blaring, so he quickly retracted his claws and retreated from his spot.

The Heavenly Star Wolf dodged just in time before an eruption of abyssal void occurred right under where he previously stood. Then, under his solemn gaze, that eruption's shape shifted into one massive tentacle dotted with dilated eyes and maws, a soul-chilling sight that nobody was prepared to see.

But that tentacle didn't exist for long. Mere seconds after it appeared, a pillar of annihilating flame torched it to nothingness, courtesy of the Wise Dragon Chancellor, who just belched it.

The heat scalded the wings of the Void Prince, causing him to feel disbelief. The pain made him unable to understand just how in the world he was affected by these flames when the void should've neutralized it, including the heat.

Unfortunately for him, Cedric and the Chancellors didn't give him too much time to think.

His slight pause, where he's in disbelief, was taken advantage of. The Holy Spirit Chancellor sang, and they watched as the Void Prince's eyes turned dull.

The Holy Spirit Chancellor was stunned; he didn't think that it'd actually work. He just managed to pull the Void Prince into the illusion.

In this illusion, the Void Prince heard the voice of his creator, telling him how proud it was of his actions and decisions. It showered him with praises and validations with the intent to lower his guard down completely. However, it didn't last long.

The void's innate resistance towards the creatures of the Primordial Chaos roared in defiance, shaking him to wakefulness. That's when he saw the illusionary world crumbling into pieces around him and knew what happened to him.

Alas, his pause had given Silas enough time to prepare.

The Void Prince woke up just in time to see Silas hovering in the air, looking down at him with his arms stretched out, covered with layers of complex magical arrays. Before he could even move, Silas had already released his spell and blown a hole straight through him, distorting his expression in pain and misery.

Seeing their Void Prince being teamed up with and severely hurt, the few remaining Royal Guards who were still alive went hysterical. The ordinary void creatures were the same as well.

They tried their best to go to their prince to help him do something. They're even willing to use their own lives to heal him if needed. Alas, the army wouldn't let them do what they wanted. They were restricted and prohibited from interfering. And no matter how berserk they got, none of them escaped or even got close to the battlefield of the Chancellors.

Pain seared into the flesh and mind of the Void Prince. His expression twisted in disbelief as he stared at the gaping hole in his chest.

That hole didn't stay for long. It shrank into nothingness within the next few seconds and looked as if it was never there, but the pain was a sharp reminder to him.

The Void Prince couldn't believe it. How did these lesser creatures manage to hurt him this badly? Since when did they have the ability to do that?

He could remember these people's faces except for one. Weren't these the same people who used to be unable to stand up to him without wearing that ridiculous armor of theirs made from the stones at his home?

Weren't these the same people who were driven into a corner by him and barely able to endure his light effort? How did they get so strong and capable so fast? It hasn't been that long since the last time he personally invaded, has it?

Doubt crept into his heart and threatened to swallow him. He truly couldn't wrap his head around the idea that the creatures he used to treat as a joke had now grown into serious threats to his life.

What made him blank out was the idea that he might fail the expectations of his creator. That concept alone was enough to fry all remaining reason his brain had left and turn him completely insane.

'Uh oh...' Cedric muttered to himself as he saw how the Void Prince's expression twisted.

Before anything could even happen, Cedric already made a move. With a slight hum from him, which sounds like he's preaching the concept laws of Primordial Chaos, the presence of the laws thrummed majestically around him as if summoned by his voice.

This was him reinforcing the concept of laws around this area. This was an essential move because Cedric knew that what's about to happen will be devastating if he didn't do this.

And he was right...

ROOOAAARR!!!

Losing all sense of logic and intelligence, the Void Prince let out a soul-shaking roar, one that was loud and strong enough to cause weak-willed people to die instantly. The effects were, of course, contained to their battlefield, but it's horrible nonetheless.

Accompanied by his roar was the unwavering support of the void for its prince. Instantly, the entire battlefield was dyed with abyssal black. Gigantic tentacles erupted from its depths, each one lined with hundreds of eyes and maws that flailed around like salted worms.

The eruption of the abyss sent Cedric and the Chancellors on the move. Using their own methods, they began clearing out the abominations, preventing them from causing more harm and potentially spreading outside of this battlefield.

The Void Prince wasn't idle either. With all of his remaining inhibitions lost, he raved like a maddened fool and turned absolutely feral. All of the grace and pride he usually exuded were gone completely.

He flew like an ominous star towards the Chancellors with claws stretched out, exuding clear intent to rip them apart one by one, and maybe even chew on their flesh and drink their blood.

They repelled him, of course. They won't just stand there and let him do as he pleases. And since he was outnumbered and outclassed, the Void Prince was unilaterally bullied by Cedric and the Chancellors.

He was being passed around like a ball. Each hit he suffered made him madder and even more insulted, yet no matter how angry he got, nothing changed. He was still being hit and bullied.

While he was distracted, he failed to notice how the abyssal eruption was being cleared out.

It was Cedric who largely took care of it. When the Void Prince wasn't looking, he summoned hundreds of swords that turned into streaks of light, piercing and eradicating the forest of nightmare tentacles. They are even eradicating the pool of abyssal void that stained the battlefield, all while the Void Prince remains distracted.

Classic misdirection. A small trick that's not really that special to living beings but one that Void Creatures will never understand or grasp their entire lives. It's these mundane tricks that prevented the whole camp from sinking into the abyss...that, and Cedric's clever thinking as always.

The Void Prince didn't notice, and even if he did, he wouldn't have cared too much because he's more focused on desperately trying to catch his breath from all the bullying he's receiving.

He's being abused in all aspects, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. The pain, humiliation, and his creeping desperation to succeed in his task were slowly but surely swarming his remaining consciousness.

It wouldn't be long before he turns into a mindless beast completely. And when that happens, he can truly die.
