Jellal took the initiative, his body enveloped in a golden glow.

Like a true meteor, he shot forward, attacking with incredible speed—just slightly slower than Noel at full power.

Noel was slightly surprised but not to the point of being unable to react.

With a step of his right foot, he shifted to the left, narrowly dodging Jellal's punch from behind.

His body turned into a streak of white light, cutting through the air as he reappeared on the other side.

However, Jellal simply stepped forward, his body still glowing gold, and soared into the sky, avoiding the attack with ease.

As if he had already anticipated Jellal's movement, Noel appeared behind him in midair and launched a powerful punch.

Jellal spun around, raising his right arm to block, intercepting Noel's strike.

At the same time, their other arms glowed with white and gold light.

The explosion echoed like a cannon blast, sending up a massive cloud of dust that momentarily obscured them.

Voices echoed through the sky as the two clashed, fighting for their beliefs and pride.

The scattered light from their collisions and the continuous resounding booms bore witness to the strength of these two prodigies.

"[Seven-Star Sword – Grand Chariot!]"

A pattern of the Big Dipper formed in the sky, and seven beams of magical light rained down, aiming straight for Noel, who had just stepped out of the shattered crystal.

"[Holy Light Magic – Ultimate Defense: Wall of Sighs.]"

Noel uttered calmly, and a massive golden wall, intricately carved with ancient patterns, rose before him, intercepting the descending beams.

At the point where the two magics clashed, a thunderous sound, as if space itself were being torn apart, erupted.

Before the echoes of the explosion even faded, Noel had already appeared in front of the stunned Jellal, delivering a powerful punch straight to his face.

Jellal's body plummeted downward, crashing violently into a massive magic crystal, shattering it on impact.

"The one who is shackled by Zeref can never defeat me, Jellal," Noel stated calmly, his voice void of emotion, as if merely stating a fact.

"Shut up!! I am invincible!"

Hearing Noel's words, Jellal, lying on the ground, let out a beast-like roar.

The blood smeared across his face made him look like a vengeful demon from the depths of hell.

He crossed his hands above him, and at the point where they met, a black sphere began to form.

As the sphere grew, the surrounding shadows seemed to be pulled into it, stretching toward Jellal in reverse.

The massive black hole looked as if it would devour everything in its path.

"Take this—[Celestial Magic – Dark Paradise]!"

Jellal hurled the black sphere toward Noel with terrifying speed.

Facing the approaching sphere, Noel merely stretched out both hands.

"[Holy Light Magic – Helios' Wrath!]"

As Noel's words fell, a white sphere gradually formed between his hands.

The sphere, roughly the size of a person, crackled with platinum-colored flames, radiating an aura of both divinity and terror.

With a simple push, Noel sent the white sphere hurtling toward Jellal's black sphere.

Under Jellal's disbelieving gaze, the black sphere was instantly swallowed by the white one.

Then, the white sphere ignited into a raging blaze before finally exploding into countless white fragments that scattered upon the ground.

"Impossible!"

Jellal's eyes widened in shock, unable to believe that his magic had been so easily countered.

But the undeniable truth lay before him.

"Damn it, I'm not done yet!"

Unwilling to accept defeat, Jellal slashed both hands through the air, forming a towering magic circle as tall as a person.

"Noel, if you have the guts, take this—[Purgatory Shatter]!"

"[Purgatory Shatter]? Are you planning to destroy the entire tower?"

From the sidelines, Erza spoke in shock as she saw the massive magic circle before Jellal.

"I won't wait eight more years—no, this time, I'll finish it in five! Zeref, wait for me!!"

Jellal's expression twisted into one of sheer madness.

"Too bad—you won't get the chance."

Suspended high in the air, Noel responded calmly to Jellal's reckless desperation.

Above him, a colossal magic circle—over thirty meters in diameter—had fully formed, blanketing the entire sky.

At that moment, time itself seemed to come to a halt.

The entire world was silent, with only the massive magic circle in the sky and the divine light cascading down like a torrent from the heavens.

His expression remained composed.

Jellal glared at him with eyes full of hatred but remained silent.

Seeing this, Noel slowly raised his sword.

"Wait…!"

A sudden voice from the side made Noel pause.

He turned his head to see Erza standing there.

"Noel, don't kill him… Hand him over to the Magic Council."

There was a trace of hesitation and pity on Erza's face.

"But—"

Before Noel could finish speaking, Erza interrupted, "Jellal was deceived by Zeref's darkness. At least spare his life and let him atone for his crimes in the Council's prison. Please, Noel."

Noel remained silent, gazing at Erza.

He seemed as if he wanted to say something but ultimately held back.

After a barely audible sigh, he finally spoke.

"I understand… If that's what you want, Erza—"

"Noel, watch out!"

Before Noel could finish his sentence, Erza suddenly shouted a warning.

Noel hadn't even had time to react.

All he felt was a sharp pain in his chest.

Struggling to turn his head, his gaze fell upon Jellal's twisted grin—

—and the longsword, which had been dropped during Erza and Jellal's battle, now impaled deep into his chest.
