Chapter 95: Revelations and Dining
Exiting the aquarium with a limp in my step, I tried my best not to damage my women's purchases. Susan had loved the plushies present in many of the stalls and wished to keep them. I had told her we couldn't take items outside but she still insisted that we could come them in our penthouse apartment in this district.
'She's definitely going to start collecting plushies from everywhere...Cute...' I was hopeless myself, how could I resist my women?
Finally getting onto the side-walk I deposited all of my women's toys, Susan sweeping me away towards a nearby hotdog stand as her casual red dress hung itself over her form. Artoria dragged me over as well, her blue dress just as beautiful, my attention being drawn to the pieces of clothing as they shimmered slightly in the hundreds of refracted light sources that beamed down from above.
As I was pulled to them I asked a harmful question to my system sub-vocally, the answer shocking me.
'System, how much to bring the plushies out to the real world?'
{0 Points}
'W-what do you mean... wait, the reality engine, it...'
{The Reality Engine makes everything within you games real. All powers, items, destinations and universal dynamics are now technically linked to the actual multiverse that you reside within, with the stipulation that you are its' over-god.}
'That means I control the lives of all of these former NPCs now... Doe-' I couldn't even finish the framing of the question as the system interrupted me simultaneously with Susan handing me a shredded beef hotdog with hot sauce and grated cheese.
"Freya! Try this!"
{They are all worshipers of yourself. The more Games you make, the more power you gain.}
"Thanks honey!" I bit down on the hotdog as my sub-vocalisation resembled none of the decorum and loving attitude of outside.
'DOESN'T THAT MEAN I CAN PULL ENTIRE SHIPS FROM SWTOR!?!?'
{Yes. So long as your inventory could store them and you had somewhere to place them.}
'Wait, this also means that I can make Warframe and simply bring Margulis's daughter with me.'
{Indeed. Welcome to Godhood.}
The voice was slowly becoming more masculine sounding, like my father... It sounded just like him after he explained the purpose of Loki within the Norse Pantheon during one of our long philosophical discussions. Disturbing was the least potent word I would use to describe this situation, but there were none others that fully encompassed all of my emotions.
{If the host dislikes my auto-engineering personality, then please select a character from anywhere to represent who you would wish me to be.}
'It's fine... I'll make the choice soon.' Sadness clutched at my heart as I ate the hotdog, my eyes tracking my women giggling to one another as they discussed how I was eating. They were cute, but reality was just unfair, why did it have to be my dad's voice?
"My love, what is our next destination?" Artoria cocked her head to the side as the sun slowly dipped in the distance, the sunlight shining through the golden locks distracting me from my inner turmoil.
"Ahum-" I coughed to regain control of myself, "we have a dinner reservation at the best restaurant in the city!" Chipper though my voice may have sounded, my emotions were chaotic at best... The reminder of my father and mother stabbing into my soul in the one place it hurt, my memories of a place I could not go back to.
Susan smiled and took my offered arm in hers whilst my queen, or king should I say, took the other. The date was going so well and I didn't wish to hurt them over the fuckery of my system... It had already effected all of our lives massively, it couldn't take this away as well.
...
The restaurant itself was moderately busy on the its first floor, normal high-end customers conversing with business partners, wives, husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends... They were all ignorant to our importance however and merely continued their nights. That was until we started ascending the stairs to the second floor, where many muttered under their breath and gestured to us.
Some were in scorn, others in shock and worry. Moving through this mire of human stupidity I simply reached the top of the stairs and flashed my eyes at the guards, their entire stature shifting to that of deference. In moments we passed by them, my women awkwardly following me as they grimaced at all of the attention we received.
"Freya... what was all of that about?" Susan was whisper shouting as we passed by several booths, the entire restaurant carved from the finest polished woods, having carved dragons, phoenixes and kami that were lacquered and painted to look as realistic as possible.
Chuckling we moved past a Yakuza man, his samurai clothing shuffling as he felt a predatorial threat direct itself towards him. He ducked back inside of his stall as we reached a golden plated door at the end of the long hallway.
It was immaculately carved to depict the Torri gates of the Emperor's royal garden in actual Japan. Gold coiled around mildly burnt cheddar wood that merged with a bright pink cherry wood used to depict the reflections of a cherry tree upon a surface of water.
"We're having dinner of course! How could I let my women have anything less than absolute luxury?" As I finished my rhetorical question I pushed through the door and revealed an open balcony.
Lit by fairy lights and draped with luscious vines over a canopy of wooden architecture the entire setting dripped with romance. Candles glowed incandescently amidst the fluttering swells of cherry blossom leaves, three chair arranged around a circular table that itself was carved to perfection once again.
Bowls and plates were arrayed on the table, the first meal already prepared and ready upon their arrival to the room. Servants stood at either end with a dedicated barwoman cleaning glasses at a refined but modest bar space. A zither played in the background, a small room off to the side vaguely covered in rice-paper concealing a Geisha who was no doubt their most experienced in the venue, or, quite possibly, this entire district. I grinned at the perfection before me, turning my head just enough to visually see my two women openly gape at the luxury of it all.
Walking over to the head of the table I looked off the balcony and witnessed the bustling city below, the lights mixing into an intoxicating display of futuristic hubbub and the energy of mortality. Looking up also I spotted hundreds of flying cars dash past upon designated lanes in the sky, the air space quite sparse in comparison to the population that resided within the city.
"G-god! Freya! Th-this is wonderful..." Susan's voice trailed off as she stepped closer to the table, noting the platinum-gold alloyed cutlery that just loosely sat at specific locations upon the table. They too were imprinted with cloud patterns and the artistic style of shogunate Japan.
Artoria followed up behind her, looking at the people along the sides of the room, her eyes hazing over as if she were in another place at another time... 'Can't have that.' Snapping my fingers in front of my king's face I cupped her cheeks and drew her into a delicate kiss.
"Leave your loneliness behind, love, tonight we are together." Blushing she pecked my lips back as I soon moved to the side, letting her get in position to sit before pushing in her seat. Doing the same for Susan I now fully took my place at the table, the waiter at the side stepping forwards.
Dressed in pure black clothing with as modest an appearance as one could expect, the waiter leaned down and placed three menus.
"Good evening, my fair ladies. This evening we have Sukiyabashi Jiro, a three Michelin star dish containing a melt-in-your-mouth, fatty tuna sushi, aged and cut to perfection, Lightly marinated gizzard shad, a signature of Edomae sushi and Sweet, creamy Hokkaido sea urchin on perfectly seasoned rice."
"Alternatively we have Kikunoi, a seasonal platter of small delicacies, such as grilled ayu and mountain vegetables... A clear broth steamed in a teapot with matsutake mushrooms and seafood. Finished with thinly sliced premium wagyu beef simmered in a soy-based sauce, served with raw egg."
"Or, if you are specifically wishing for a fusion dish... There is always Hajime, a stunning plate with over 110 different vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers. Lightly grilled langoustine with a citrus-spicy yuzu kosho sauce. And a delicate white chocolate sphere filled with matcha mousse and yuzu gel."
Artoria was the first to choose the latter of the options, her tastes centering around French and English cuisine more than Japanese. Her menu was taken as the kind gentleman smiled and awaited mine and Susan's choices.
"I-i'll take the Sukiyabashi Jiro." She looked at me with mild confusion, the man's introduction frightening her ever so slightly as she wasn't used to this level of service. This did subside however as Artoria grabbed her hand for comfort, the two of them meeting each other's gazes lovingly, though shyly.
Watching this distracted me from ordering, making the man cough lightly into his gloved hand. I scoffed but quickly chose the one dish that sounded appealing to me. "Get me the Kikunoi and also if you would be as king to bring wine glasses and a bottle of your best Sake?"
"Of course madam." The man took my menu finally, stepping away as silently as an owl in hunt, whilst my women broke eye contact and looked towards me. Red as roses, their cheeks revealed all of their emotions without me needing to gaze at their auras.
Leaning forwards on my hands I stared at the two of them, love flooding from my soul as I watched their slightly awkward but provoking movements below their stunning dresses. Though plainly dressed, they carried the clothing in a way that they managed to outshine even the most gratuitous of stars from Hollywood. 'I have to keep them away from anyone who may wish to soil them...'
Desire to protect them swept me along for a while until my mood suddenly shifted as Artoria reached out for my hand, her eyes not moving from mine despite the shyness I could see filling her aura.
"I am glad you two are getting along so well~!" I took Artoria's hand and took Susan's also, both of them staring straight at me with pink fringed slowly seeping into the greater whole of their emotional aura.
"After this dinner, why don't we just have a night in? Watch a movie or three and simply enjoy our night." The two glanced at each other as if asking a mental question that I could not perceive. This communication didn't last long however as they brightly beamed at me.
"I'd love to honey~..."
"A wonderful idea."
The two women giggled at answering at the same time. They were so stricken with damage from real life and relationships in their lives, yet for all of that, they were the most illustrious flowers in the garden. Pain turned to glee, happiness and love, a cycle that was beautiful to understand and hear about, but even more intoxicating to witness in those you are infatuated with and cherish more deeply than anything else.
'System, purchase those engagement rings.'
{Done. It is suggested-}
'I know. Not tonight... But, in the near future, I will have what i need when it is ready.'
{Understood. Do you wish for me to stop the flow of information from your clones for now?}
'No. It will be fine.'
{ok}
