God of Money: Reincarnated as the Weakest SSS Rank

Chapter 112: I need your help

The cost of housing has been rising in big cities, especially in Velharthe, for various reasons.

From more general reasons, such as the increase in population and the advancement in architecture, which has greatly improved the infrastructure of most buildings, to the need to create an independent business because of the large amount of resources coming out of the Tower, have sent prices skyrocketing.

The divisions between districts in Velharthe have also caused prices to skyrocket, as small wars are taking place in slightly more remote regions that have displaced people.

Not to mention beasts and so on.

In the end, it all added up to increased housing prices, which drove up the price of all types of construction. Starting a business is more complicated, but there's also more money being produced, so it's offset that somewhat.

So Dimash looked at the blank paper and frowned.

He was letting him free to choose whatever number he gave and said he could give it.

His insistence showed that he had money, but it spoke volumes. It could be a test, but with what intention?

And it could also be that he really didn't care about money. But then, who was he?

'Carwine... I have a feeling I've heard that recently, but I don't remember.' He thought.

In the end, he sighed and mentally calculated the price. If it were someone else, he would try to raise the price a little more, but he wouldn't.

He grabbed the paper and wrote down a number.

"7.5 million is the current price of the building. I don't need more. If you give me that, the building is yours, and you don't need to spend more on the other two, if you don't want it."

Louis stared at him for several seconds and smiled.

'Shit, I thought these things were going to cost 20 million each or something. How could they be so cheap? Even my dilapidated mansion cost me quite a bit more. Tsk, maybe I'll become a long-term investor in real estate too.' He thought with a smile.

"Then it would be 22.5 between the three of them." he said, pulling out a card. He took the excess money from it and left the rest there. "I'll pay for the three of them."

Dimash looked at him, stunned. He grabbed the card and checked. Sure enough, there were 22.5 million Jens.

'He's rich.' He thought. 'No, he's powerful.'

Not that it was too much money. Honestly, even he could replicate what this young man just did, and it wouldn't hurt if it were clear where he wanted to invest.

But the gesture in doing so and his absolute calmness without waves revealed much more than he realized.

He had learned to differentiate someone who just squandered money from someone who actually spent it because he was simply powerful.

He had inherited a share of Lord Zhani's enormous fortune, a man who had many children but only five heirs. That meant he had passed the test of his father, who was very demanding.

From then until now, he has grown that inheritance impressively, thanks to his good judgment and the good connections he has made along the way.

Right now, that judgment told him that the man before him wasn't just anything. He had a plan and knew what he was doing; he wasn't squandering.

Dimash said nothing. He stood up, grabbed several documents, and then sat down and laid them on the table.

"Ownership and property transfer documents I always have them ready. We can sign any time." He was blunt.

Louis nodded and looked at Jessy. "Go ahead and sign."

"But..." She hesitated. He had just bought it for a very high price. Why should she sign?

It didn't feel right to take advantage like that, but Louis simply shrugged.

"It's for you, anyway. Just sign and the deal is done. We came here to make your business great." He replied.

Anyway, he currently controls this whole area and is sure that one day he will control the whole district and even more.

And he wanted to see how far she could grow with her unique and interesting ideals and designs.

Supporting her was the normal thing to do.

Although she hesitated a little longer, she finally moved to sign it, and in a matter of several minutes, both of them signed all the documents, transferring the three five-story buildings for 22.5 million Jens.

All that remained was to take this to the government-designated registry for the paperwork to be done.

Once completed, Louis spoke.

"Mr. Dimash, I see that you are a great businessman who does not inflate the price despite having the opportunity to do so. With that, you have already earned a little bit of my respect. Since you own real estate companies, do you do remodeling? If Jessy needs it and it can work under her designs, I'd like to hire you for a high price."

Dimash nodded. "I can do it. I have a department that specializes in it. Would that be okay? They can create their own designs or stick to the clients'."

"Then, if you need it, just hire him, and I'll take care of the rest." He said, looking at Jessy.

She nodded. "But remodeling three buildings could be pretty expensive." She spoke.

Dimash spoke quickly. "Calculating, it's possible it could be 1 million on average. Maybe it could be a little more, depending on how much time they have to do it and whether we will use Ascended or normal people."

"It's okay, the price is the least of it. I want things done right, so you'll just have to put effort into the job."

Dimash nodded and stood thoughtfully. A moment later, he spoke. "I could do the remodeling for free." He said suddenly, catching Louis' attention.

He clearly wasn't interested in it, but he was curious as to why he had said it.

"What do you mean? Do you have any requests about that?" He asked.

"Mr. Carwine, I don't know if you are someone of amazing status, but seeing how you are, I think I can see the kind of young man you are; you are an Ascended, right?" he asked.

Louis raised his eyebrows slightly. That was what they called people who had Awakened their abilities and were heading down one of the magical paths, to distinguish the magicians from the rest.

He nodded. "I am. Why?"

"A young man promoted and with so much money surely belongs to a rich or powerful family. You may be able to help me with some problems I've been going through recently in the district, with my new company."

"Oh? Go ahead. Maybe I can help you."

Dimash nodded. "One of the reasons I agreed to rent the building next door to Miss Jessy is because I saw her potential and understood that maybe she can be part of my new contacts, in the face of an event I'm going through recently."

"I have created a new company, with the idea of entering a new market." He said. "It is a textile company creating classic or antique fabrics. The company was doing well, but recently, I had some problems with a well-known entrepreneur who had just entered the market. He's one of the 12 with a strong connection to the Northern White Lotus House."

He sighed visibly and pulled out a document.

"I was finding out the background of this House, and it has strong connections with the Revolutionaries and the Churches of the Industrial God of Steam. Their power is great, and they are one of those who control the northern part of the district. I couldn't compete with them, so in the end I had to terminate several contracts and pay expensive fines and resign myself to finding new allies."

He looked at Louis carefully, as if thinking, -"Maybe you could help me with this one?"-

"That 1 million you were going to pay me, you don't need to; I can even pay you if you help me, and I will owe you several favors." He added at last.

Louis frowned.

"I want to know one thing: have you sought help with any local Houses? I'm sure the Ancient Moon House would want to help you, considering the White Lotus is just their greatest enemy."

Dimash smiled helplessly. "Ancient Moon recently seems to be having more problems than successes. I called some contacts there, but they seem to have no intention of moving. They're turning a blind eye, maybe because they're making some profit."

'Hmm.' Louis suddenly felt annoyed.

He knew White Lotus' intentions at this time. It wanted to take advantage of moments of weakness; they must have found something.

And since he knew, he understood that Ancient Moon and the House of Shadows also knew. They were not stupid.

So, they would let someone else's dog poke around inside the territory they dominate?

'Looks like they need a few lessons in authority, these guys.' He thought, slightly annoyed, and smiled.

"Very well, Mr. Dimash. Don't worry. I'll help you personally. In return, you don't need to owe me many favors, just fulfill a request I'll make soon. Don't worry, it won't harm you. On the contrary, I am sure it will please you."
