Chapter 11: Chapter 10 Malfoy and His Lackeys
"Come on, don't be so surprised. We're wizards. Isn't it normal to know Spells?"
Light looked at the four surprised people, a black line seemingly appearing on his forehead.
"I know this Spell. I haven't learned it yet, but I'll be able to learn it soon."
Hermione snapped out of it and said defiantly.
Hearing Hermione say this, Light didn't refute. Instead, he said modestly:
"This is a basic Spell. You'll basically be able to learn it after enrolling in school."
"So stop standing there and sit down! Otherwise, I'll be the only one sitting, and that would be really embarrassing." Light said helplessly.
"Forget it. We've brought you trouble, so we won't bother you anymore." Neville, holding his toad, said falteringly.
"It's okay, it's a small matter. Although we haven't reached Hogwarts yet, we can already be considered classmates.
So let's get to know each other. My name is 'Light Rogers'. Nice to meet you." Light had a kind face.
"My name is 'Neville Longbottom'. Nice to meet you too."
"My name is 'Hermione Granger'. What about you two?" After introducing herself, Hermione turned her gaze to Harry Potter and Ron.
"'Ron Weasley. Nice to meet you all.'" After Ron introduced himself in the same manner, Harry Potter continued, "My name is 'Harry Potter. Nic...'"
Before Harry Potter could finish his sentence, Hermione suddenly became excited. Her voice clearly rose several degrees, which sounding a bit shrill.
"Is it really you? I mean, I know all about you. In the few magic books I bought, History of Modern Magic, The Rise and Fall of Dark Magic, Important Magic Events of the 20th Century, all of these books mentioned that you defeated the Dark Lord."
"They mentioned me and who did I defeat? I have absolutely no idea."
Harry Potter, who knew he was famous but not this famous, had an expression of complete disbelief on his face.
Seeing the expression of complete disbelief on Harry Potter's face, Hermione also realized that the person concerned had absolutely no idea about his magnificent deeds. So she changed the subject.
"I heard that we'll be sorted into houses when we get to Hogwarts. I really want to go to 'Gryffindor'. After all, the greatest wizards had studied there. I hope we'll be in the same house. Neville and I will go back to our compartment first. Goodbye!" After saying that, she tugged at Neville's sleeve and left the compartment first.
Then Neville said goodbye to the three people in the compartment and followed suit.
After Neville left the compartment with his toad and casually closed the compartment door behind him.
Behind the compartment door, Harry Potter and Ron, who were originally standing, slumped down on the chairs all of a sudden. The change happened so suddenly that it was a bit dizzying.
After a long while, Ron scratched his head painfully, with a somewhat complicated expression: "If I could, I don't really want to be in the same house as her."
Harry Potter also nodded wearily.
Seeing Harry Potter and Ron's actions, Light couldn't help but grin and thought to himself:
"Not only will you be in the same house, but later you'll develop into the 'Golden Trio', and even later it'll be 'Hermione and Her Two Good-for-Nothing Guys'!"
Just then, Harry Potter asked Ron, "Which house were your elder brothers in?"
Which house would you like to go to if you were in my shoes!"
"They're in Gryffindor. I don't really have any particular thoughts. But it should be Gryffindor! My family members all graduated from this house. As long as it's not 'Slytherin', any of the houses will do. So, which house do you guys want to go to?"
Harry Potter thought for a while and said, "I want to go to 'Gryffindor'. Hagrid told me that my parents both graduated from this house, so I want to be in this house."
"I'm fine with any. There's not much difference to me." Light said nonchalantly.
Seeing that Light was so casual, Ron began to brainwash Harry Potter and Light in a mysterious manner:
"Actually, any house is okay, but definitely don't go to 'Slytherin'. The Dark Lord used to be there. There might well be some kind of curse left behind..."
Hearing Ron's enthusiastic recommendation, Light couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. In a sense, there is a curse, but it's not aimed at 'Slytherin', but at the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. The professor changes every year, and the teachers are practically consumables.
Ron, who had opened up the conversation, talked from the school to the time when he and his family went to watch a game. Then, once again, the carriage door was opened.
Three boys walked into the carriage. The leading boy had white hair and a pale face.
Following closely behind him were two stocky and ordinary-looking boys, one on either side, looking just like bodyguards.
The leading boy scanned the carriage and looked at Harry Potter:
"It seems to be true! Those two idiots from the Weasley family have been spreading the word everywhere that the legendary 'Harry Potter' is on the train. Now everyone on the whole train is talking about it." While saying this, he stared at Harry Potter.
Harry Potter also stared at the three in front of him and replied fearlessly, "I am 'Harry Potter'."
Seeing that Harry Potter had admitted his identity, the leading boy began to introduce himself: "I'm 'Draco Malfoy'. This is Crabbe, and this is Goyle."
Malfoy introduced his lackeys in a casual manner.
Seeing Harry Potter's performance, Light couldn't help but admire him. He was brave enough to strike back in the face of provocation. Comparing this with how I was when I was a child, I probably wouldn't have been this brave.
At this time, Malfoy inspected the carriage again and said in an arrogant tone:
"Look, a mudblood and a declining pure - blood who can scarcely afford to raise his own children."
"Potter, you should associate with pure - blood wizards who have more resources. Making friends with these people from the lower classes won't do you much good."
"Come on, Potter. My family is ranked among the Sacred Twenty - Eight. I can be your friend, and only I can help you."
After saying that, Malfoy haughtily stretched out his right hand, waiting for Harry Potter's response.
"No need. It's my freedom to choose who to be friends with. And as for you, I don't want to be friends with you."
Harry Potter replied firmly, his tone full of annoyance.
Malfoy's face turned red as if he had been insulted. He slowly retracted his hand and threatened in a strange voice:
"You should be more polite to me, otherwise, you'll end up just like your parents."
"They don't know what's good for them, just like you are now, hanging around with losers like the Weasleys and Hagrid. If I were you, it'd be better to choose your real friends earlier."
Malfoy's eyes scanned Ron, whose face was red with rage, and finally settled on Light, who was scowling at him:
"Mudbloods don't deserve to be at Hogwarts. You lot should get on your knees and offer everything to us pure - bloods."
"What did you just say! I'm not gonna let you insult my friends, Harry Potter and Ron."
Harry Potter and Ron shot to their feet, glaring at Malfoy like two feisty cubs.
"So what are you gonna do?"
Malfoy sneered.
Suddenly, a black cloth popped up above the three of them and dropped down fast, covering their heads. The three of them immediately started struggling and making a racket.
Harry Potter and Ron were taken aback. Right then, they felt a weight on their shoulders. They saw Light spring out from between them, hands on their shoulders, and with a Flying Kick, nail Malfoy right in the head, which was covered by the black cloth.
Malfoy went down like a sack of potatoes, along with his two lackeys.
Light kept after the fallen trio, kicking them and saying, "You're such a big mouth. You're such a big mouth."
Suddenly, Malfoy's and the other two's screams rang out through the whole carriage.
