A Silent Escape

It was past ten o'clock at night, and the other students in the dormitory were already fast asleep.

The quiet sound of deep breathing and occasional snores filled the room, but David was still awake.

Sitting up slowly, he reached for his wand and gently tapped his pillow.

A second later, the pillow shifted and transformed—taking on his own sleeping form.

This way, even if someone woke up in the middle of the night, they wouldn't notice that he was gone.

Satisfied, he then reached under his bed and retrieved a medium-sized suitcase.

Thanks to the Undetectable Extension Charm, the suitcase could hold far more than it appeared to.

With a swift flick of his wand, he muttered, "Reducio."

The suitcase shrunk instantly, and he slipped it into his robe pocket.

Then, preparing for his journey, he cast two essential spells:

"Silencio." – A Silencing Charm to muffle his footsteps.

"Disillusionment." – A charm that made his body blend into the surroundings, much like an invisibility cloak.

His preparations were complete.

David opened the door of his dormitory and stepped into the quiet common room.

The Tradition of the Night Tour

As expected, the Ravenclaw common room was empty.

The enchanted blue flames in the fireplace flickered softly, casting eerie shadows on the high walls.

David walked past the grand bookshelves and out through the common room entrance, his movements swift and silent.

Now, the most difficult part was avoiding the professors, ghosts, and Filch—Hogwarts' infamous caretaker.

But truthfully?

The school didn't strictly enforce the rule against night explorations.

Hogwarts had an unspoken understanding:

If you don't get caught, it doesn't count as breaking the rules.

If Dumbledore truly wanted to stop night tours, he could have done it easily.

With enchanted armor, talking portraits, and ghosts all over the castle, not to mention Peeves the poltergeist, sneaking out should have been impossible.

Yet, students continued to do it every year.

It was almost a tradition.

Of course, many of those same students grew up keeping that same mindset—that rules only applied if you got caught.

That was probably why so many Hogwarts graduates later found themselves in Azkaban.

If they never learned to follow rules in school, why would they follow them after graduation?

David smirked at the thought.

Still, he wasn't planning to get caught tonight.

His goal was simple:

Find the Room of Requirement.

The Room of Requirement

The Room of Requirement was located on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle, directly across from a tapestry depicting Barnabas the Barmy being beaten by a troll.

Normally, the room remained invisible.

But if someone walked past the wall three times, focusing hard on what they needed, the door would appear.

David knew this trick well.

The only issue was that Dumbledore's office was also on the eighth floor.

And Dumbledore himself had been known to use the Room of Requirement—sometimes even as a toilet.

If he happened to be inside when David arrived...

Well, that would be a problem.

David wasn't confident he could avoid detection, even with all his spells.

Still, it was a risk he was willing to take.

An Unexpected Reward

Just as David exited the Ravenclaw Tower, something strange happened.

A golden notification suddenly flashed before his eyes, like a magical achievement system:

[Achievement Unlocked: Breaking the Rules!]

Description: Rules? What rules? My rules are the only rules!

Objective: Violate Hogwarts school rules (1/1).

Reward: Improved physical fitness and increased magical capacity.

David barely had time to react before a powerful electric sensation surged through his entire body.

His muscles tightened and burned, and for a moment, his knees nearly buckled.

If he hadn't grabbed onto the wall, he would have collapsed.

The feeling faded as quickly as it came, but David was left breathing heavily, his heart pounding.

And then, something incredible happened.

He felt stronger.

Physically. Magically.

It was as if his body and magical core had expanded, pushing past their former limits.

Could he punch through a stone wall now?

David shook his head and laughed.

Maybe not, but he definitely felt more powerful.

Could he eventually match Hagrid's strength?

That was something he'd have to test later.

For now, he had a mission to complete.

A Run-In with Peeves and Filch

As David reached the second-floor staircase, he heard a familiar, sharp voice echo through the halls.

"Ah-ha! You two again!"

It was Peeves, Hogwarts' most annoying poltergeist.

David froze, pressing himself against the wall.

Down below, two identical red-haired boys—Fred and George Weasley—were running.

"Peeves, you still owe us a favor!" one of them shouted.

"Favor?! Favor?!" Peeves screeched. "You promised me a dungbomb last term, and I haven't received it yet!"

Before the twins could respond, a loud "Meow!" echoed from the stairs above.

David's stomach dropped.

That was Mrs. Norris, Filch's demonic cat.

And where Mrs. Norris was, Filch wasn't far behind.

A second later, heavy footsteps thundered toward them.

Fred turned his head and spotted David.

"Adrian, don't just stand there—RUN!"

But before David could even move, Peeves suddenly grinned and pointed right at him.

"Looky, looky! Another sneaky student!"

David's heart sank.

How?!

He had used the Disillusionment Charm—there was no way Peeves should have been able to see him!

Yet, there he was, floating smugly in the air, laughing.

David didn't hesitate.

With a swift flick of his wand, he cast:

"Petrificus Totalus!"

Peeves froze mid-air.

His once-smug face stiffened, and with a thud, he fell straight to the floor like a statue.

David didn't wait around.

He turned and sprinted after the Weasley twins.

An Unexpected Alliance

Fred and George quickly led David through a hidden passageway.

After several twists and turns, they emerged in an abandoned classroom.

Panting, Fred turned to David with a grin.

"I'm Fred Weasley, and this is my twin, George."

George slapped David on the back.

"Adrian, right? We've heard about you! My little brother Ron told us how you put Malfoy in his place on the Hogwarts Express. Good work!"

David chuckled. "Nice to meet you both."

"But I have a question," he added. "How did Peeves see through my Disillusionment Charm?"

George smirked. "Because of this."

He pulled out an old-looking piece of parchment.

As soon as he unfolded it, David's name appeared on it, along with Fred, George, and Filch, who was still wandering the castle.

David's eyes widened.

"The Marauder's Map..."

Fred grinned. "Found it in Filch's office last year."

David smirked.

He had planned to find the Room of Requirement tonight.

But instead?

He had just stumbled upon something even more valuable.
