Hero or Villain, Both

Chapter 120: What are you doing here?

When we finally came back from the field trip and went back to the dorm, the first thing that Fae did was ask to talk to me.

I had already expected this, but there was still a problem.

When she asked me to talk alone, the first reaction that Nimue and Rania had was to glare at her.

The way that they glared at her made it clear what they were thinking.

That made Fae feel awkward since she had bonded with them during her time here. It wasn't as if she wanted to do anything to harm the two of them or get in their way.

So in the end, she said, "Can you two come too? There's something that I want to share with you."

Nimue and Rania relaxed a bit when they heard this, but they clearly looked at her as if she was still some kind of enemy.

Once we were in our dorms, I couldn't help feeling strange since I could feel the traces of mana that were in the air. There was some kind of spell that had been cast the moment that we came into this dorm.

But this kind of spell was not something that someone at Fae's level should have been able to cast.

Did that mean that there was someone else here?

"Don't worry, it was just me using a bit of my power."

When I heard this voice, I couldn't help revealing a trace of a bitter smile.

Nimue and Rania on the other hand were confused to hear this since they didn't recognize this voice. Though it was coming from where Fae was standing, they knew that this voice wasn't coming from her since it was completely different from her normal voice.

I only recognized it because it was similar to Fae's voice, but was also a bit different.

"Are you surprised to see me?"

I couldn't help shaking my head with that same bitter smile before slowly nodding.

Nimue and Rania looked at me with the same confused looks on their faces as if they were asking me what was happening, but I didn't say anything as I just looked at Fae.

Seeing this, they also turned to look at Fae and seemed to be waiting for some kind of explanation.

After a bit of hesitation, Fae finally said, "There's a story that I have to tell you first."

Nimue and Rania both raised a brow when they heard this, but then they nodded to show that they were waiting for Fae to tell them her story.

When Fae was done with her story, both of them were completely shocked by what they had heard. Especially when they heard about what happened during the field trip which made them look at me as if they were waiting for me to confirm it.

I just gave a simple nod in response to show that what Fae said was true, but that made them even more shocked.

I didn't bother explaining anything as I waited for Fae to continue.

After all, there had to be something else that she had to say since there was that voice from earlier.

"Now that you know all of this, there's someone that I want to introduce to you."

After saying this, Fae slowly opened up her jacket. But before she could actually show what she wanted to show, Nimue and Rania both suddenly jumped at me with their hands held.

They didn't waste any time covering my eyes as if they didn't want me to see anything.

That just caused a bitter smile to appear on my face, but I didn't say anything.

After all, if Fae really wanted to show something like this…

"What are you kids doing? You really need to get your mind out of the gutters."

Both Nimue and Rania were surprised to see that there was a bird that was talking in Fae's hand.

This was the thing that she had pulled out of her jacket.

The moment that their hands came down, I couldn't help looking at the bird with one brow raised. I had already felt the mana fluctuations that came from the bird which had already confirmed what I had been suspecting.

It was just that I didn't know why she was here.

"What are you doing here? Is it really alright for you to leave?"

The bird made a sound that seemed like it was laughing before it said, "It's fine, this is just a small part of my soul. I was curious about how my descendant and you would turn out in the future, so I decided to be a bit selfish. Though I should be able to guide the four of you quite a bit with my knowledge."

This bird was no one other than the high elf ancestor that had been sealed in the forest.

She had taken a small part of her soul and created what seemed to be an avatar so she could leave the forest.

But there was no doubt that it would have an effect on the dungeon…

"Don't worry about it, I'm not worrying. I'm the one that created that place to begin with, so I know how much of my soul I can take away without it being a problem."

Since she was saying this, there really wasn't anything that I could say…

"What do we call you?"

"Right, a name. It's been so long since anyone has called me by name that I almost forgot it."

I really didn't know what to say when I heard this.

But in the end, she still recalled her name, "Sylpha."

With that, we had one more person join our group.

But she was right in saying that she would be of great help to our group since she was someone that had knowledge that others might kill for.

I just left the girls alone to discuss what they wanted to discuss as I went into my room.

Once I was alone, I pulled out the Spirit Elixir with a faint smile on my face.
