Chapter 132: Vampires (9)
"What is going on here?" Damon said in a completely shocked voice before turning to look at Morgan.
Morgan didn't say anything at first, but eventually he turned to look at Damon to say, "Even if you ask me this, who am I supposed to ask? I have no idea what's happening either."
Though the two of them acted this way, the truth of the matter was already in their heart.
After all, there was only one explanation as to why these half vampires weren't obeying Morgan's orders.
This was something that was clear to them the moment that they saw the half vampires ignoring this order, but they just didn't want to acknowledge it.
But in the end, Morgan couldn't help saying, "What is this person doing? What do they hope to gain from going against their own tribe like this?"
Damon had even sharper words as he said, "How dare he do this to his cousin? What did my son do to deserve this?"
The way that they spoke changed after they came to this realization.
It didn't seem like they were as worried as they were before and it even seemed like they were talking about a member of their family instead.
This was all because they had come to the conclusion that the one that was doing this was a fellow pureblood vampire. If that was the case, then it meant that this really was an internal issue for their vampire tribe.
But the most important thing was the traces of greed that were in their voices.
Once they came to the realization that this pureblood that was holed up inside of the factory was someone that had a higher concentration of pure vampire blood than either of them, they wanted to bring this pureblood vampire into the vampire tribe.
If they could bring someone like this back, there was no doubt that it would be a great boost to the power of the vampire tribe.
The only thing that they had to consider now was how to do it.
Well, for Damon, there was something else that he had to consider.
After all, his son Malphis was still inside of the factory as a hostage.
After thinking about it, Morgan suddenly said, "Let's just talk to them. Since they're lashing out like this, I'm sure that they must have some kind of reason for doing this. I want to talk to them and see if we can reach some kind of peaceful resolution."
Damon didn't respond at first, but he eventually gave a slow nod.
Once they came to this agreement, the two of them suddenly flew up into the sky.
They flew over the heads of the half vampires and just remained there in the open without any fear. They looked down at the factory for a bit before Morgan finally broke the silence.
"Do you really need to do all of this to catch our attention? I can see that you're a pureblooded vampire like us, so there's no need to act this way. If you just came to find us, we would have been more than happy to accept you."
"Right, there's no need to do this to your family. You should release your cousin before this becomes more serious." Damon added on the side, ignoring the glare that Morgan cast in his direction.
But there was only silence that followed after they said this.
Both Morgan and Damon couldn't help knitting their brows when they saw this happening.
After all, it seemed like the pureblooded vampire inside of the factory was just ignoring them with the way that they were acting.
The two of them waited a bit longer before Morgan couldn't help saying, "Is there really a need to act this way? We're clearly all part of the vampire race, so there's no need to act this cold."
Once again, there was the same silence that came from the factory.
At this point, it was impossible for them to come up with another excuse.
At this point, it was clear that they were being snubbed.
"Could it be that there's some kind of grudge between this new pureblood and our vampire tribe?" Morgan couldn't help muttering this when he saw this.
Damon seemed even more tense than Morgan since his son was still being held hostage.
As they were wallowing in this anxiety, a voice suddenly rang out.
"Why do you think that I'm a pureblood?"
The moment that they heard this, Morgan and Damon couldn't help knitting their brows again.
After all, these words really made it sound like there was a grudge between this pureblooded vampire and the rest of the vampire tribe. If that was the case, then they would have to think of some way to resolve it and bring this person back to the vampire tribe.
Only it really didn't seem like this person was willing to listen based on what they said.
"Even if you want to tell a lie, it's hard to fool anyone when the proof is in front of us like this. It's clear that you're a pureblood, one that even has a higher concentration of pure vampire blood than me if you're able to command the half vampires like this." Morgan didn't hold anything back at this point.
He just laid everything out on the table before saying, "But even if you have a higher concentration of pure vampire blood, you're still too wet behind the ears. We've been around for a long time and know things that you don't. We know techniques that you couldn't even imagine, so you won't win if we do fight."
After that threat, Morgan's voice relaxed a bit as he added, "But there's no need for that. No matter what, you're a part of our vampire tribe and there's no need for conflict. I'm sure that we can talk this out."
After another long silence, the same voice as before suddenly said, "Why do you think that I'm a pureblooded vampire?"
Both Morgan and Damon deeply frowned once more when they heard this.
