Chapter 134: Vampires (11)
"Why…why is it you?" Morgan said in a trembling voice as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
That was because he certainly didn't expect to see me.
I had already met Morgan before since the vampires were one of the stronger tribes of the demon race. That meant that they had sent a delegation to meet the demon king just like the other tribes.
In fact, the vampires had a permanent seat on the counsel of tribes that held regular meetings with the demon king.
So I had actually seen Morgan quite a few times.
As for why he didn't recognize my voice until he actually saw my face, it was because we never really talked.
Though I was at the meeting, the meeting was really one that was just between the different strong demon tribes. I didn't really have a say in the meeting because I was nothing more than a figurehead that had been installed on the throne.
This was also the main reason why Morgan was so shocked to see that it was me.
When he slowly came back from his shock, he said, "How are you not a vampire if you can use our blood power like this?"
This was all because he could see the balls of blood that were circling around us.
When he traced the source of power for these balls of blood, he found that these balls of blood were linked to me.
In fact, everything that had happened was all linked to me.
It was because I was here that the power to control blood that these vampires possessed had been weakened. It was because I was here that they had been suppressed to this point where they couldn't feel their connection to the blood anymore.
And the reason for that was the Sanguine Bracelet.
It was an artifact from Demon King Balkor, a demon king that had come from the vampire tribe.
So it was only natural that it would be able to do all of this to the current vampire tribe.
"Who knows?" I said with a shrug.
Even if he questioned me, that didn't mean that I actually had to answer these questions. Instead, I just kept him in the dark since I didn't want him knowing about the Sanguine Bracelet.
It was one of my trump cards and I wanted to save it for when I negotiated with the vampire tribe as a whole.
The other trump card that I had been planning to use in those negotiations was…
"What are you doing?" Morgan suddenly asked when he saw those balls of blood coming closer.
I just calmly looked back at him and asked, "What do you think I'm doing?"
"Don't you dare." Morgan said in a cold voice.
But even with him threatening me, I calmly asked, "What do you think I can do with these balls of blood? It's clear what I'm planning to do, so you should just give up and let it happen. I promise that when the time comes, I'll bring a new future to your vampire tribe."
Morgan narrowed his eyes to look at me before suddenly giving a snort.
With a wave of his hand, there was a cloak of blood that surrounded him.
This cloak of blood swirled around him before transforming him into some kind of blood lord. There was the same cloak of blood, but he also gained a sword and a chalice that he held in his two hands.
With a tip of the chalice, there was a wave of blood that suddenly came out that spread in every direction.
The way that the wave of blood spread, it seemed like he wanted to fill this entire place with this wave of blood. It seemed that he wanted to use the wave of blood to clear a path for him.
Unfortunately for Morgan, I had already surrounded him with my balls of blood.
The moment that the wave of blood made contact with the balls of blood, it was as if there was something that was draining it away. Even though they were both made of blood, it didn't seem like the wave of blood could do anything to the balls of blood as they were being absorbed by them.
In no time at all, the entire wave of blood had disappeared without a trace.
"How is this possible?" A shocked look appeared on Morgan's face when he saw what happened, but he didn't remain like this for long.
"Ke, ke." He suddenly bent over and spat out a mouthful of blood as if he had been injured.
When he felt this sensation, Morgan remembered what Damon had said before.
It really felt like there was something being ripped away from him with how this sensation filled him.
"What did you do?" Morgan said with cold narrowed eyes cast in my direction.
I didn't say anything as I calmly waved my hand at him.
When I did, the balls of blood that had been floating around Morgan started to move closer to him. They completely formed a cage around him so that there wasn't a single direction that he could move in.
At the same time, it didn't seem like Morgan dared to swing his sword at these balls of blood.
After all, he had already felt what happened when he tried to attack these balls of blood.
"Just what are you?" Morgan said in a confused and shocked voice.
I looked at him in a calm manner and said, "You'll find out soon enough. But before that, I'll need you to be my hostage for a bit. I'm sure that you'll be out soon since the vampire tribe will have no choice but to accept my conditions."
Morgan had an aggrieved look on his face, but there really wasn't anything that he could do against the balls of blood that closed in around him.
The only real thing that he could do was glare at me as if he thought of me as some kind of monster.
But I didn't care as I waved my hand and sent the balls of blood to completely surround him like they had done for Malphis.
