Hero or Villain, Both

Chapter 136: Vampires (13)

I just had a smile on my face as I watched this happen.

Though there was also a trace of disappointment that was in my eyes since not all of the pureblooded vampires had attacked.

I had hoped that I would have been able to catch all of them like this since it would have made it easier if they did.

But still, at least they were trapped.

As long as they were trapped, they wouldn't be able to stop me from doing what I wanted to do to them.

Once they realized that they were trapped by the balls of blood, the pureblooded vampires no longer had the same arrogant looks on their faces.

Now they looked like trapped animals that were desperate.

I knew that if I were to push them any further, they would become more than desperate.

After all, the most dangerous things in this world were people that were pushed too far.

They were close to being pushed off that edge.

So instead, I just raised my hand to stop the balls of blood from approaching them before saying, "Now it seems like we can have a proper talk."

All of the pureblooded vampires couldn't help revealing bitter looks on their faces when they heard this. After all, they were more than willing to talk before this, but this person was the one that had attacked them first.

But it wasn't as if they were going to say this out loud since they wanted to see just what he was planning.

I slowly took off my cloak to reveal my true appearance.

Most of the pureblooded vampires didn't actually recognize my true appearance, but there were some that recognized me based on how their expression changed when they saw me.

At the same time, I recognized them since I had seen them before.

"Why is it you?" They all slowly asked in confused voices.

After they said this, the other pureblooded vampires looked at them as if they were asking them who I was. Only none of the pureblooded vampires that recognized me said anything as they kept staring at me, waiting for me to say something.

"Why can't it be me?" I asked with a simple smile.

That just made the expression on the faces of these pureblooded vampires become even more strange.

They looked like their world had been completely turned upside down, it was as if they didn't even know what to believe in anymore.

I knew exactly what they were thinking.

No one would have expected that the demon king that was supposed to be nothing more than a puppet of the powerful demon tribes to be the one that was behind all of this.

To these people that had seen me be nothing more than a figurehead, they just couldn't understand what was happening.

But right now, that didn't matter.

After all, there was still one more thing that I needed to do with these pureblooded vampires.

"Now, submit to me."

The pureblooded vampires were even more shocked when they heard this and they slowly looked at me as if they were wondering if there was something wrong with my head.

Though I didn't really blame them for looking at me like this since I knew why they thought that I was crazy.

It would only make sense that one would think that I was crazy after I made a demand like this.

But I wasn't joking.

Seeing that I didn't seem to be joking, the pureblooded vampires deeply knitted their brows as if they were offended.

Eventually, one of them took the lead for the others to ask, "Who do you think you are? Do you really…"

He didn't get to finish his words since he suddenly fell forward.

I didn't do anything to him physically, but mentally…

"What…is this?" The pureblooded vampire asked in a strained voice.

His voice was strained like this because there was something that seemed to be suppressing him. It was as if there was this feeling that was coming from deep inside of him that wasn't allowing him to say or do what he wanted.

It was forcing him into this position where he was bowing to the demon king.

"What are you doing?" Another one of the pureblooded vampires asked this question.

But all that happened was that they were forced to bow down like the first pureblooded vampire had done.

When the other pureblooded vampires saw this, all of them couldn't help taking a step back. They were afraid that something would also happen to them if they were to say anything.

However, that didn't mean that they had given up yet with the looks on their faces.

It was clear that they were still planning on resisting with the way that they looked at me.

With a wave of my hand, the two pure blooded vampires suddenly turned around and raised their hands at the other pureblooded vampires. While they were doing this, there were blood weapons that were formed.

"What are you doing?" The other pureblooded vampires asked in shock, but it didn't seem like the ones that were pointing weapons at them were listening. It seemed like they were struggling to stop themselves, as if they had no control at all.

In the end, it wasn't just these two who suddenly turned around and pointed their weapons at them. There were others that also pointed their weapons at the other pureblooded vampires.

It was more than half of them that had changed sides like this.

"Now, do you really think that you'll be able to get out of this? I suggest that you listen to what I have to say since that will make this much easier." I said with a taunting smile on my face.

There were ugly looks that appeared on the faces of the remaining vampires, showing that they clearly didn't like this situation. But at the same time, it showed that they really didn't have any way of getting out of this situation.

"What is it that you want from us?" One of them suddenly asked in a slow voice.
