Chapter 116: You Owe Me a Favor
"If it weren't for my grandmother… I would be dead."
Yuin's heart pounded, a lingering sense of fear gripping her.
She hadn't let her guard down, yet she had failed to react in time.
It was like knowing there was a trap ahead, but being unable to avoid it, a hopeless, inescapable dead end.
Still reeling from the encounter, Yuin stared intensely at Moro.
But Moro completely ignored her.
He had thrown the scalpel earlier for one reason only—to end the fight as quickly as possible.
"Her reaction was too slow, so I had no other choice."
Meeting Zibonian's gaze, which held both surprise and scrutiny, Moro calmly withdrew his hostility and deliberately explained himself:
"But I knew you would catch it."
!!!
Yuin froze, then clenched her fists, frustration boiling inside her.
Zibonian, however, nodded slowly, acknowledging Moro's reasoning.
Seeing her grandmother's reaction, Yuin's discomfort deepened.
A Question
Zibonian locked eyes with Moro, her voice serious.
"How do you know Shifting Limbs?"
"A friend taught me."
Moro answered without hesitation.
He had already anticipated this question and rehearsed his response, so his delivery was smooth and natural.
Zibonian found no flaws in his answer.
And truthfully, her own guess matched his response—
That "friend" could only be Kurt.
After all, she and Yuin had come here after being notified by the clinic doctor, and they knew that someone had brought Kurt here for treatment.
That person was undoubtedly the boy in front of them.
The Zoldyck Family's Butler
Zibonian, now understanding the situation, retracted her imposing aura.
With the battle officially over, she straightforwardly introduced herself:
"We are butlers of the Zoldyck family."
Moro raised an eyebrow—a reaction he purposely exaggerated.
An Agreement
A few minutes later—
The three of them stood in a room on the clinic's third floor.
On the bed, Kurt remained unconscious, showing no signs of waking up.
Standing at his bedside, Moro turned to Zibonian and stated calmly:
"I know I can't stop you from taking Kurt, but until he wakes up, I can't let you leave with him."
"Hoh? That's a rather contradictory statement."
Zibonian lifted her gaze, then looked down at Moro—who was barely taller than Yuin—and sighed.
"Brave words, boy."
"So, does that mean you agree?" Moro asked.
Zibonian chuckled.
"I have no reason to refuse."
With that, she turned toward Yuin.
Yuin nodded slightly and retrieved a small vial from inside her coat.
Zibonian then looked back at Moro, her tone carrying a hidden meaning:
"Do you need an explanation?"
"No need. It's a specialized medicine for internal injuries, right?"
Moro glanced at the vial in Yuin's hand.
Given the Zoldyck family's brutal training methods, it was only natural for them to have advanced knowledge of healing and recovery.
A medicine specifically for treating internal and external injuries was to be expected.
His emphasis on "internal injuries" was a subtle test—and Zibonian's reaction confirmed his suspicions.
These two had come prepared.
They knew Kurt's injuries were mainly internal.
Realizing this, Moro probed further:
"Since you already knew Kurt's condition… was it the clinic doctor who informed you?"
Zibonian looked slightly surprised but then smiled.
"You're quite sharp, boy. But don't blame the doctor—she didn't have a choice in the matter."
"I'm not that petty, and I don't really care. As long as Kurt is safe, that's all that matters to me."
Moro had only wanted to confirm how Zibonian and Yuin had tracked Kurt down so quickly.
If it was the doctor who tipped them off, that made perfect sense.
And considering how fast they arrived, it was clear that Zibonian's Nen ability played a role.
If he remembered correctly, her ability was called "Yamato Nadeshiko: Seven Transformations."
She could turn her body into various vehicles, such as jet planes and heavy motorcycles.
However, she couldn't operate them herself—she needed a driver's aura to serve as the energy source.
That's why she usually brought Yuin along for long-distance travel.
Kurt Awakens
As Moro spoke, both Zibonian and Yuin found themselves looking at him differently.
Clearly, his relationship with Kurt was deeper than they had expected.
This also explained why Kurt had taught him Shifting Limbs.
Yuin gently fed the medicine to Kurt, ensuring that he swallowed it properly before withdrawing her hand.
Time passed.
As the first light of dawn crept over the horizon—
Kurt's eyelids trembled.
Slowly, he opened his eyes.
His expression remained calm.
Because he knew that if he had survived, it meant Moro was nearby.
Turning his head, he immediately saw Moro standing at his bedside.
But then, his eyes widened slightly when he noticed Zibonian and Yuin.
A Transaction
"How do you feel?" Moro asked with a smile.
Kurt sat up, stretching his upper body.
"I'm fine."
As he spoke, his gaze flickered toward Zibonian and Yuin, silent questions in his eyes.
But before he could ask—
Moro suddenly said:
"Give me your bank account info."
"What for?" Kurt asked.
Moro pulled out his phone.
"To split the loot, of course. Half of that 300 billion is yours."
"30 billion—that was my agreed payment."
Kurt's tone was calm and indifferent.
But Moro shook his head.
"That 300 billion was our joint effort. Don't waste my time, Kurt."
His voice hardened slightly at the end.
Kurt pressed his lips together, then gave in, obediently reciting his account details.
Moro immediately transferred 150 billion, along with the remaining payment balance.
"Done."
After completing the transaction, Moro put away his phone and turned serious.
"Kurt."
"Hm?"
Kurt glanced at him curiously.
Moro spoke calmly but firmly:
"Before next June, I need you to find someone for me. I'll pay you, of course."
"Alright."
Kurt didn't even ask who—he simply agreed without hesitation.
Moro smiled.
"Then I'm leaving."
After a brief pause, he added:
"Be careful. Don't push yourself too hard."
"Hmph. Not seeing you out."
Kurt turned his back to Moro, pretending to be indifferent.
Moro chuckled and gave Zibonian a small nod before striding out of the room.
Kurt's Realization
A few moments later—
Kurt suddenly threw off the blanket, surprising Zibonian and Yuin.
He ran to the window, watching as Moro disappeared into the distance.
Zibonian's expression softened slightly.
"Kurt, did you teach that boy Shifting Limbs?" she asked.
"What?"
Kurt turned around, looking genuinely confused.
Zibonian narrowed her eyes.
"That boy can use Shifting Limbs."
"Huh?"
Kurt was completely stunned.
During their previous battle, he had been too overwhelmed to notice Moro using it.
