Kill da Zombie

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Saeko's Advice

After talking to Takagi, Lucas felt somewhat relieved, even though he hadn't received a definite answer. He decided to go to the dojo after school to meet Saeko.

When Lucas entered, he saw Saeko sharpening her sword with full concentration.

"I knew you were here," she said without looking in his direction.

Lucas smirked and walked closer. "You have sharp instincts."

Saeko finally glanced at him and gave a small smile. "I recognize your footsteps."

Lucas sat on the floor, leaning against the wall. "I just confessed my feelings to Takagi."

Saeko raised an eyebrow and set her sword down beside her. "Oh? And how did she react?"

Lucas sighed. "She was surprised… but she didn't reject me outright. She just said she needed time to think."

Saeko nodded slowly. "That's understandable. Takagi isn't the type of girl who easily shows her feelings. She's smart but also stubborn."

Lucas chuckled. "That's what makes her interesting."

Saeko stared at him for a moment, then smiled. "Then give her time. But don't just wait—ask her out again."

Lucas looked at Saeko in slight surprise. "You're seriously telling me to go on a date with another girl?"

Saeko simply gave a soft smile. "Of course. If you want to make her truly sure, you need to show your sincerity."

Lucas let out a breath and smiled. "You're really amazing, Saeko."

Saeko moved closer, sitting beside him. "I trust you, Lucas. And I trust your feelings for Takagi."

Lucas looked at her for a moment, then nodded. "Alright… I'll ask her out again."

Saeko smiled in satisfaction. "Good. Just make sure you don't make her angry, or I'll have to punish you myself."

Lucas laughed. "Alright, alright. I don't want to deal with an angry swordswoman."

That night, Lucas made up his mind—he would do his best to win Takagi's heart without betraying Saeko's trust.
