Lets save the World of Hell

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: An Unforgettable Promise!

The autumn breeze blew gently, carrying the scent of soil and fallen leaves scattered across the fields.

Adam stood in the middle of the vast farmland, taking a deep breath after a long day of work. His clothes were stained with dirt, and sweat dripped from his forehead.

"Farming isn't easy," he muttered, stretching his body.

But despite all his busyness, he always made time to visit this village.

That was where he saw her—a blonde-haired girl standing under a large tree, gazing at the sky with a soft expression.

Adam smiled slightly.

He stepped closer. "You always like looking at the sky, huh?"

Christa flinched slightly before turning toward him, her bright eyes lighting up. "Adam!"

She gave him a gentle smile. "I thought you wouldn't come today…"

Adam sighed, pretending to be annoyed. "Are you doubting my promise?"

Christa let out a small smile, but her eyes held something deeper.

They always met. Every time Adam returned to this village for work, Christa was always there.

They talked, laughed, and shared stories.

But this time, something felt different.

Christa bit her lip gently before looking at Adam with hesitation. "Adam…"

Adam raised an eyebrow. "Hm?"

Christa clenched the hem of her clothes. "I just want to ask… why do you always come here?"

Adam fell silent for a moment before chuckling. "Because I made a promise, didn't I?"

Christa looked at him deeply. "So… is it just because of that promise?"

Adam frowned, confused by Krista's serious expression.

He didn't realize the feelings that had slowly grown in her heart.

To Christa, Adam wasn't just someone who saved her when they were children.

He was the only one who was always there.

Who never abandoned her.

And that made Krista realize something.

She was in love with Adam.

Christa clenched her hands tightly, trying to find the right words.

"I… I was just thinking…" her voice was soft, almost a whisper. "If one day… you stopped coming, I…"

Adam stared at her in silence.

Christa lowered her head, afraid to continue.

Suddenly, Adam's hand reached out and gently patted her head.

Christa gasped and looked up.

Adam smiled. "You're so silly. Why would I stop coming?"

Christa felt her heart pound faster.

"Christa, I made a promise, didn't I?" Adam continued, his voice calm. "I won't leave you."

Christa stood frozen.

Then, unable to hold herself back, she wrapped her arms around Adam tightly.

Adam flinched. "Eh, Christa?"

Christa closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of his presence. This was no longer just gratitude. This was love.

"…Thank you," she whispered softly.

Adam smiled and gently patted her back.

Maybe, he hadn't fully realized Christa's feelings yet.

But he knew one thing for sure.

He would never leave her.
