Chapter 2622: 2622. More Unique Classes

Saying that the nocturnal side of Genesis was the same as the daylight side would be a massive lie. The nocturnal races and traited demi-humans were exceptionally unique due to the fact that many of them had to undertake different jobs and risks in their everyday life.

It was quite shocking to see the small handful of vampire children arriving with the other students. They were deathly silent yet the glimmer in their eyes under the starlight was clear to see. They were the same excited that every other child was.

The batman race had quite a few, just as the harpy race had. Beyond this, there were dark elves and even some of the dark affinity merfolk children here and there. The numbers were not smaller whatsoever in terms of how many had arrived to learn of the guilds.

It wasn't just the people who changed, the staff explaining things for their guilds also changed. There were vastly different jobs at night. The miner who worked in the daylight and the night would seem to be the same, but that would be extremely wrong.

The miner who worked without the swift glow of daylight being able to slowly mix in to even some of the deepest caves would experience the truth of the darkness in a cavern. The dwarves who worked in caves in the night were able to use the darkness itself as a way to see often times because they had natural dark affinities. But the reactions of ores and other precious materials would also change.

Many materials could react to even the tiniest amount of light mana or changes in dark mana. Hence the miners who worked in the night had the skills to pick up on those tiny shifts. There were even some rocks that couldn't be mined due to those changes, they might be too brittle or there might be an issue extracting ores from them.

That wasn't even compared to the farmers who worked in the day and night, or the herbalists who worked day and night. Both needed different skills to maintain plants in their fields or greenhouses. The same for the alchemists who worked out in the open.

Recently someone had come forth as a starlight alchemist, an alchemist with light affinity who focused entirely on making potions under the light of the moon and stars. The potions were always medicinal but they were calm and easier for children to use than any other medicine. It had caused some waves in the alchemy world due to the iteration of new techniques to suit the class.

Again, this was only scratching the surface. Whether it was adventurers, craftsmen, or even just those who worked in cooking people's food, the night brought out those with different affinities and more unique classes, so it was natural that the entire event would shift toward dark affinity and more unique classes. Then again, they were unique because they had been studied less and recorded less.

Quite a few of the youngest serpents were here expanding their knowledge. Many of them had dark affinity as well and now was the ideal time to find more ways to grow and branch out in to different classes. Walker already heard some excited exclamations. He just didn't expect that it would be Su who was one of the people shouting in surprise.

As Walker approached the small wood working stall used to demonstrate some of the building skills of some carpenters, she saw that Su was there standing with a young demon girl. The demon girl was not crying or worried at all, instead it seemed that she was the most hyper.

It was fair though, she was the one who had just gained a class here which she had not expected. But the reason why Su was the one who shouted was because this girl had just reached out and begun shaping a dark affinity piece of lumber without tools at all!

"Ebony wood sculptor. I have never heard of a class that uses the dark mana in wood to shape it like clay. Thats… we need to learn more about it." The craftsman standing at the stall was just looking at the girl playing with the wood board as if it was a piece of clay in complete stumped amazement.

"I would say that she might be one of the first wood sculptures we have had in Genesis, right?"

"You would be right about that. We have a few who came from other kingdoms but wood sculptor is a rare class. Not many have the minds capable of making wood bend to their will the very same as a sculpture with clay in hand."

Su nodded to the craftsman, her intentions clear. He stood closer and began to explain the normal methods of wood crafting and how the class the girl had just awakened was rare and allowed her to skip certain processes. She was letting someone who knew better take the lead here.

She then moved her attention to Walker before she pointed a ways behind him. Both Su and Walker turned to look at Midnight who was with one of the dark dragon hatchlings. From the way Midnight was acting, the hatchling was definitely something special right now.

With their careful attention to their hearing, both Su and Walker made out what was going on.

"Is this the little one you wished to introduce to us?" The woman meeting Midnight seemed average, however, Walker and Su could recognize her as one of the guard assassins placed to care for them when they were weaker. The shadows that would dart here and there while inside the city were there to keep the hero party safe.

"Yes, she is one of the hatchlings that is growing the fastest!" Midnight's energy was clearly a lot more held back than what most people would believe to be the case, Walker and Sy would know since they were able to see her often enough compared to the others around.

"Assassin! Assassin! Assassin!" The little hatchling was just leaping around Midnight with even more energy, very much like a child, which made sense. However, her voice saying assassin over and over again was constant, easily telling people what sort of skills and class she might have.

"So you are the little one who has awakened the shadow assassin class. You are a dark dragon so that will only help you. You have it in your nature to use dark mana and the shadows." The smile and soft welcoming voice made many of those who heard it halt for a moment. It appeared she had a lot of talent in speaking and working with the young, something that Walker and Su would not have imagined came with the territory of an assassin of any sort.

"I will be the best like big sister Midnight!" The amount that the little hatchling was shouting showed her young age, but the way she was showering midnight with attention and excitement also showed a lot of the awe that the hatchlings had for her. To them, Midnight was the end all be all of what it meant to be a dragon in today' s day and age.

Midnight was a dragon who learned better, became stronger, and even broke the status quo for what a dragon could be in the unity of Genesis as a whole. "It seems like Midnight has a fan club and also managed to guide another young one toward the next steps in their life."

"I would bet that that little one was trying to sneak up on Midnight and get to her class. I heard that a lot of the hatchlings think that they can fight Midnight because she is young too but learn the hard way that Midnight is stronger than most if not all of the adult dragons." Su's soft giggles made it clear that she found the entire situation to be beyond adorable.

"Should we gather everyone up so we can all get some proper rest? We could sit here for the rest of the night and see how many new classes appear and help the kids learn more, but it seems like everything is going better than what we would have assumed."

"I would say you are right in that." Su nodded along before looking away and finding Remey showing off some of the potions that some kids wanted to try. It was clear that getting the rest of the party to leave might be impossible, but they didn't have to rush. They could take their time.

"I really hope that we find more than just a few new races. I want to make sure Genesis grows bigger and bigger." Walker said this without any expectation that Su would respond. However, she agreed before setting off toward Remey.
