Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 472: Childish Enjoyment.

To be honest, the lightning element is superior to the other elements in many ways. Even if it can't do something that an element can do, lightning can easily destroy the element in terms of speed and power.

The advantage of the lightning element is why someone like Elder Storm Hawk, who advanced to the third mortal coil with the Divine Lightning Armament technique and also had a transformation mode of a flying creature, is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, people in the third mortal coil.

When he thought of this, he smirked to himself and said, "It doesn't matter if she is the fastest or not. She will lose that title to me very soon."

He is confident of achieving that because he also cultivated the Divine Lightning Armament technique, has a transformation mode that enhances his speed, and has the boost from the Mountain Karma divine ability.

Even though he hasn't tried it yet, he is sure that his transformation mode won't lose to hers. But even if her Storm Hawk form is faster than his Overclock Mode, he still has the five-times boost from the Mountain Karma divine ability to count on.

He thought to himself with anticipation, "Not only will I be faster than her, I will also be stronger than her. I will be far stronger than her."

As he was thinking of this, Roar was enjoying his flying thoroughly. The dog had his tongue out as he soared through the air. He also didn't forget to pelt squirrels and other ground with light spells.

The light spells were mostly harmless. They were balls of energy that exploded in a flash of light.

All the light does is stun and disorient the animals he targeted. But he loved watching those animals scurry about in panic.

He flew above them like a bomber throwing down flash bombs, and he enjoyed the experience very much.

He even said to Arthur, "This is very fun. You should try it."

So not only is his mind strong enough to fly and cast spells simultaneously, but he has also become smart enough to communicate with Arthur.

This intelligence didn't appear in one day. Transcending the second mortal coil with the path of energy refining meant that his learning capacity had increased. But it still took him a long time to learn to speak.

At first, Roar was like a curious child. He was always asking questions and was excited to learn.

He is a child in that he is childish and likes to have fun more than cultivate. He also gains pleasure in flash bombing squirrels, which is childish. But there is no denying that Roar is intelligent now.

Arthur, who was brought out of his thoughts by Roar's enthusiastic question, just chuckled and said, "You go ahead and enjoy yourself."

Roar said, "Your loss."

Then he continued to flash bomb poor animals with his spells. As he did so, he laughed at the top of his lungs.

Roar's joy was infectious. It made Arthur smile and be in a good mood. With nothing to do, he decided to check the usefulness of his new divine ability.

He activated the Fate Identification divine ability and looked around. Once the divine ability got to work, he became able to see various signs sitting just above people's heads.

He could see the fate of everyone in his vision. Since he was high in the sky and had good sight, his vision was very wide.

There were many people doing one thing or another in the outer sect. The of people in his vision was in the tens of thousands in one single glance. Yet, he was able to see the fate of every one of them at the same time.

The signs he saw varied in shapes, sizes, and color. There was a wide array of them, so he was confused for a while and was unable to make heads or tails of what he was seeing.

But slowly, understanding began to kick in. The understanding was vague, but it was instinctive.

For some fates, he could only tell if they were good or bad. For others he could tell that they were very good, and some were very bad.

So apart from what he could see directly, the fate identification system only told him if what he was seeing was positive or negative. It was up to him to determine what made a type of fate positive and what made other types of fates negative.

After a while, he was able to notice some patterns. The first pattern he noticed was color.

The colors of fate had limited variation. So after seeing a lot of fates of the people in his vision, he was able to determine what the possible range of colors could be.

From very bad to very good, the colors were black, brown, white, green, blue, violet, red, orange, yellow or bright gold. They were nine colors in total, but the fated had various sizes and shapes.

The second pattern he was able to discover was in size. From what he noticed, the stronger someone was, the bigger their fate would be, no matter how bad their fate was.

He could sense that the size of someone's fate is the weight or heaviness of their fate. And he could see that those with bigger fates tend to press down, pressure, or push aside the fates of others.

From this, he determined that the size of a fate was the expression of how durable and sturdy they were. So the bigger the fate, the more unlikely it was going to be affected by external factors and the influence of other people's fate.

The third thing that he noticed was that everyone's fate seemed to be interacting with one another's unbeknownst to their bearers.

As he watched, he noticed that each time people interacted with each other, their fates were actually clashing and fighting and influencing each other. This clash was in the form of a push and ended in one fate being suppressed.
