Naruto: Reborn as Uchiha Obito

This sudden rescue left the Fourth Hokage couple momentarily confused.

But after confirming that Naruto was safe and sound, they both breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

Then, as they finally registered the Sharingan glowing beneath the stranger's mask… and the Wood Release erupting around him… their brains basically short-circuited and froze in place.

Minato was the first to snap out of it. He quickly bowed slightly toward Obito.

"Thank you very much for your help, Sir...?"

Whoever this guy was, at the very least he had just saved their son's life.

Obito, meanwhile, was staring directly at the seal on Minato's stomach.

The Nine-Tails... still divided?

Tch. Too bad Nagato still needed time, this could've been a golden opportunity...

"Sir, I'm sorry," Minato spoke up quickly. "I'm running out of time, and I need to seal the Nine-Tails... immediately."

Seeing Obito remain silent, his expression unreadable, Minato grew more alert, his instincts on edge.

Then Obito turned and looked at him, those scarlet eyes locking onto him with eerie calm.

That one look alone made Minato tense up unconsciously.

But the next second, Obito simply stepped aside and gestured toward the altar.

A silent "go ahead."

Minato didn't hesitate and rushed over.

Uzumaki Kushina, dragging her exhausted body, made her way to Naruto, kneeling beside her son and softly calling out:

"...Naruto."

A moment later, a summoning puff of smoke Minato had called forth a toad and handed it the key to the seal. Breathing heavily, he turned to Kushina and said:

"Kushina… looks like we won't last much longer. It's almost time to activate the Reaper Death Seal. I want to seal as much of our chakra into Naruto as I can."

"We'll be parting for a long time… if there's anything you want to say to him… say it now."

Hearing that, Kushina choked up a little, then leaned toward her baby and whispered:

"Naruto, you can't be a picky eater… it'd be better if you could even eat expired food. Mom would be happy if you did... it'd make you poison-resistant."

Just then, a voice interrupted.

"Uh… excuse me, but I have to interrupt."

"..."

The Fourth Hokage couple froze and turned their heads simultaneously.

Obito shrugged casually under their puzzled stares.

"Hmm… as touching as it is to watch a couple lovingly talk to their newborn... I just wanted to say I can save her."

After hearing Obito's words, Minato's eyes, which were already dim, instantly lit up.

"What..? Sir, is what you said true?"

"Of course. You two are dying people — I've got no reason to lie to you," Obito replied calmly.

"Please… save Kushina. The village will owe you a great debt… and so will I." Minato said hurriedly.

'A great debt? That's all? I'm offering to save your wife's damn life, not lend you a cup of sugar. Ever heard of real payback?' Obito thought irritably.

'This kind of kindness can only be repaid with a body and I'm not talking about killing, I'm talking about clapping some cheeks,' thought Uchiha Obito, while casually sneaking a glance at Kushina's fat ass.

"Minato, you..."

"Kushina, listen to me. Since there's still hope for survival... you have to live."

"Just now, you wanted me to be by Naruto's side and protect him as he grows up."

"Well now, I'm saying the same. I want you to be the one by Naruto's side... watching over him, protecting him."

"Please..."

"Minato..."

Kushina wept again.

"Sir, I'm sorry to have caused you such trouble."

"Well said."

Obito reached his hand down and pulled something out.

He pulled out a big... thick piece of wood from his palm, and used it to bring Uzumaki Kushina over to him.

"You should get busy with your thing because I'm about to get busy too."

"Swallow it," said Uchiha Obito calmly.

He took out two blood-colored red items he had prepared in advance and handed them over.

Uzumaki Kushina knew this wasn't the time to hesitate. She quickly and hungrily took the items and swallowed them in one gulp.

Uchiha Obito didn't waste a second. He came behind Kushina and

pressed his right palm to her back, beginning to channel natural energy.

"It might hurt a little at first, so hold on."

"Woo~!"

"Hmmm~"

"Mmmph."

As Obito's voice fell, Kushina's body began to tremble, but she bit her lip tightly.

Then, a large number of black spell marks surged out, her body starting to shift unnaturally but at the same time, it began healing rapidly.

All the injuries she had suffered were regenerating at an astonishing speed.

On the other side, seeing Kushina's recovery, Minato showed a faint smile. He then lowered his head, looked deeply at Naruto, and said softly:

"Seal."

"Damn it!!"

Within the sealing formation, the Nine-Tails — whose eyes had just returned to clarity... roared furiously as it vanished into the woods... and into Naruto's belly.

A few moments later, Obito withdrew his chakra and lowered his hand.

Uzumaki Kushina was finally out of danger. The two items had flooded her with chakra, restored her blood, and brought back most of her life force. The rest, she could recover with time.

"Minato!"

Kushina, who had recovered, didn't even pause to thank Obito. She saw Minato collapse to the ground and rushed over without hesitation.

"Kushina... Naruto... I'll leave it to you..."

With that final, fading sentence, the youngest Hokage in history passed away.

"Woo woo woo~"

"...."

Obito stood still, quietly watching Minato's lifeless body.

'Today I saved your wife… so the kindness you once gave me has been paid back, I suppose.'

'In the future, I'll still take the Nine-Tails.'

But now that Naruto's mother was alive and he wasn't an orphan anymore... Obito was genuinely curious.

Would Konoha still isolate and hate Naruto?

Would Naruto, who grew up with his mother and knew his identity from the start, still master the power of Talk No Jutsu when he grew up?

He wanted to see it for himself.

As Obito's right eye activated and began to twist space with Kamui

"Wait—thank you!"

Seeing his figure begin to vanish, Kushina suddenly called out.

"There's no need to thank me. I owed him a favor... I came here to repay it today."

Kushina froze. "Who are... you?"

"I'll see you in the future, ma'am..."

With that final line, Obito's figure completely disappeared into thin air.

In the very next second, three figures burst into the woods.

"Kushina..."

The next day, at an inn in the Land of Fire, after finishing breakfast, Obito threw on a mask, grabbed another set of food, and entered the Kamui Space.

"Huh~!"

The moment he entered, a slash of cold steel came flying straight at him.

Obito tilted his body slightly to dodge, grabbed the loli's wrist in one swift motion, disarmed her effortlessly, and slammed her down to the floor with one hand.

"Bastard!"

Face buried in the dirt, Yugao Uzuki struggled under his grip. She couldn't move an inch, so she cursed out in frustration... then mumbled something barely audible under her breath.

"%@#....."

"Hmm? What was that?"

Obito glanced down.

The little loli blushed hard, her ears turning bright red... then shouted like she had given up on life:

"Bastard, I need to go to the toilet!"
