Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 494 Misunderstanding ?

Harvey's complexion paled as they found themselves facing me again.

Even a not-so bright person would grasp the significance of being effortlessly manipulated by another's abilities.

It was an implicit understanding among Gifteds that their resilience against attacks varied depending on their Mind Power.

For instance, if someone of had the same power level to mine sensed my attempt to teleport them, they could detect or even resist it, despite not having any teleportation abilities themselves.

However, since Harvey and his crew were clearly outmatched in every other aspect, my teleportation worked on them as easily as it would on regular humans.

"Who are you?" Harvey stammered, his voice quivering a little.

'Wait, what persona should I adopt?' I pondered silently.

This decision was an important turning point in my life.

Finally, the days of my humble, under-the-radar existence would come to an end.

After this, my name would be on everyone's lips, a legend to be recounted for generations to come—the most powerful, legendary, and handsome being to have graced in this planet.

My mind raced, generating millions of names, each one impressive in its own right.

Yet, for some inexplicable reason, I felt that anything less than the grandest title would be an insult to my unparalleled power.

But in the end, I came to the realization that I'm still attached to that name.

"I am Zyden, the Supreme ArchMage of Alura Magic Academy!" I proclaimed boldly.

To enhance my introduction with an extra touch of grandeur, the entire sky was enveloped in a shimmering blue barrier, while swirling magic circles danced into existence.

The scene straight out of a fantasy tale, and even Shao Mi was left in awe, utterly starstruck by the spectacle unfolding before her.

It was as if she was witnessing a breathtaking fireworks display, amplified a hundredfold in its beauty.

Their eyes strained to decipher the meaning behind the intricate magic circles, perceiving them as something profound, mysterious, and epic.

However, if an otaku were present, they might easily identify twenty patterns I shamelessly borrowed from popular anime, particularly the one featuring DXD.

"What are these circles? They look really mysterious. Are you really a mage?" Shao Mi asked, her eyes reflecting the magic circles that continued to dance around the sky.

"Supreme ArchMage, to be exact," I corrected her, my voice brimming with pride at the title I had just bestowed upon myself.

Talk about self-proclaimed glory.

"Supreme Archmage?" she asked, confusion evident in her voice.

"It's the highest rank bestowed upon the most powerful mage. I earned that title after dedicating myself to the study of magic at Alura Magic Academy for 5000 years," I replied, weaving the fabric of my fabricated origin story.

I made sure to speak loudly enough for Harvey's group to overhear.

"Now, can you answer my question already? Can I take you out for a cup of coffee?" I asked again, this time pulling her into a tighter embraced because she smelled so good.

I couldn't fathom how her sweat could be this enticing; it was as if she was producing sexual hormones nonstop.

If I were just an ordinary man with no extensive experience with women, simply doing this was enough to make me pre-ejaculate every minute.

In fact, I was exerting a considerable amount of willpower to stop myself from licking her seductive sweat.

As for my crown jewel, well, I froze it in time using my power to prevent any unexpected incidents through my pants.

"Why do you keep asking me that?" she questioned, her voice showing a mix of bashfulness and embarrassment. Her cheeks flushed with a delicate pink color, adding to her charm.

"Because you never give me a straight answer," I replied while shaking my head.

"Do you even realize the effort it takes for me to open a portal from my world to yours just to see you?" I added, emphasizing the lengths I went to in order to be with her.

"Wait, you're not from our world?" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in disbelief .

I was aware that my roleplaying had gone too far, but introducing myself as a Supreme and Powerful Magician was way better than my actual origin story.

Which was, I was just a fat boy who was bullied so much at school that I stopped going altogether.

The bullying didn't end there; it followed me home, where I endured more torment.

Then, through a strange turn of events, I was poisoned and somehow gained superpowers which I used to fuck around.

Yeah, definitely not the kind of origin story I want to brag about at parties. I'll just tuck that one away and stick with the whole "Supreme and Powerful Magician" persona.

"So, what do you say?" Find adventures at empire

"Alright! I'll go out with you," she replied, her eyes showing a hint of embarrassment at the unconventional way I asked her out.

"Oh, you're bolder than I thought. I just asked you for coffee, and now you want to go out with me already?" I teased her, enjoying the playful banter after her slip-up.

"Wait, I didn't mean it like that," she protested, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment as she realized her blunder.

But it was too late. I leaned in and kissed her soft, red lips. I had been holding back for far too long, and I could no longer control myself.

When I tasted her saliva, I was shocked to notice that even her bodily fluids seemed to be secreting some kind of hormone that heightened my arousal even further.

'Wait, what the hell is this?' I thought to myself as my tongue continued to intertwine with hers, a part of me already planning to delve into research about this phenomenon later on.

And by research, I mean keep on kissing her

"L— Let me breathe," she gasped, pulling away, her face flushed red, and her breath coming out in heavy pants.

After kissing her, the powerful hormones she released intensified, affecting not just me but even Harvey's group, who began to appear dazed and entranced by the lingering effects of her beauty .

"You can't watch," I scolded them sternly.

Blood burst from their eyes, causing them to kneel on the ground in agony.

Despite their mechanical bodies, their heads still contained some biological components, vulnerable to the effects of my command.

"How are you doing this? How can you attack them just by talking?" she asked, marveling at my ability to dominate my enemies with mere words.

"Oh, it's a curse, part of the Black Magic Course at the Academy," I lied , weaving a tale to maintain my facade as the mysterious mage.

She wanted to asked more questions, but before she could, I gently pushed her to the ground and resumed kissing her passionately.

Less talk , more actions.

"Wait, please stop," she pleaded, her teary eyes so visually captivating that I couldn't help but follow her request, stopping my actions immediately.

"What's the matter ?" I asked with confused expression.

"I said I'm willing to go on a coffee date with you, but I never said you could take advantage of me," she protested, her arms now crossed protectively over her chest.
